Went here recently with my sister's fam. It's pretty much what you would expect - big, new, touristy, with kitschy stuff from the movie. So my expectations weren't high - I knew we weren't going for a 5-star experience of haute cuisine. What I'm disappointed about is that there service was tremendously slow, which was hard on us and the kids. It felt like they forgot to make our food or serve it. But the waitresses were friendly and otherwise accomodating. The food was just OK. The prices were appropriate. I'm not sure I'd rush to go here again; if the kids wanted to, I would, but otherwise I'd try to find something else in the area. read more

This place is decent enough with friendly staff. Our food was tasty and timely. I read a tip that said get the Fiesta salad and when our server recommended it, my choice was made. Glad to say I was not disappointed. My husband had an Italian beef sandwich which was turned into unrecognizable crumbs, a good sign for him. And my picky 11 year old didn't complain at all, which is rare. Only real problem with our dining experience was that Karaoke started up during our meal. We are just not those people. We went there twice as tourists who stayed in the hotel next door. The good: fun spin on the theme, super friendly waiter, food and prices were appropriately good and in line with expectations. The could be better: As a big Murray fan, I was a bit disappointed about some aspects of the decor. The carpet, tables, chairs and plastic table covers reminded me of a cheap frat bar. The movie is a classic, but the restaurant isn't quite there. Maybe that was intentional because if you remember Rodney Dangerfield was anti classy and anti establishment in the movie either. I am hoping this awesome "Caddyshack" themed place tucked away in the World Golf Village loves to celebrate football as much as they love golf. II'm not a golfer although my grandpa was and I would like to learn but I do like to eat good food and I love a good sports type restaurant and this is it. Great menu, service was good and staff was friendly and knew the menu. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts that are very good and highly recommended by yours truly So I wanted to go for a burger but I went with the chicken and waffles just because it was one of their "signature" dishes and was pleased I did. The waffles had that nice golden crunch to it as did the juicy boneless chicken smothered with just enough spicy maple syrup and strawberry sauce allover it. No extra on the side, just butter which at first I was like hey where's the syrup but one taste I said to myself "whatever" this is perfect the way it is and proceeded to devour(but saved some room for dessert, kind of) The hubby had the ribs with the golf balls on the side. Yup, Golf balls on the side I said they where potato croquttes shaped like a golf ball and who doesn't like a potato croquette? I was said I didn't order my own balls, they where so good the ribs where too. Meat was so tender and the sauce was good it tasted like made from apricots. My husband had stopped eating and said I don't want to stuff myself keyword to I want dessert yay for me I said I want sloppy Sunday he said I do too do you mind I said ok no. We are regulars here and have noticed that the bar prices for a Bombay sapphire martini vary from $6.75 -8.25 on various nights. Was just in on Monday and the drinks were $6.75, came back on Tues. (next day) and the drinks were $8.75. The bartender has no clue why. Well I will not be coming here anymore and will definitely inform my friends that frequent here to beware of price changing based on the temperament of whoever is running the bar. This practice hurts those that come on a regular vs those that are transient. Loyal customer should not have to deal with this. Get your pricing scales consistent. I have been going here since we discovered the WGV. I now live close by and am working my way thru the menu. I stick with beer and wine; nice selections. They have my beer of choice on tap. ;^} I have seen an improvement of how clean the place and restroom is;-- As some of the servers are spraying down the tables and chairs and wiping after each guest. The menu fare is good and has variety. Hey this is better than average bar and golf course eatery food. I think some folks are not comparing it fairly. Angela is the best waitress ! Yes, and then there is the super memorabilia from golf, film and the Murray brothers! Nice pro shop. Love the t-Shirts there! Fun relaxing atmosphere with memorabilia everywhere. Large bar with TVs aimed at sports are the focal point. We had a cheeseburger and fries and the chicken quesadilla. Both came out hot and exactly what we ordered. The quesadillas were different than I have ever had as they were extremely fried. They were chuck full of ingredients which was great. The burger was a burger, nothing special and the fries appeared as if they were bought in a bag and warmed up. Prices were a bit high for what you got. read more

Took my Daughter in Law who had come for a visit to the Caddy Shack for dinner. I have been here before and love the food and the atmosphere. She immediately loved the decor. Of course, she remembered the movie and walked around admiring all the nods to the movie, and then the pictures of Bill Murray and the different movies he had been in. That all turned secondary once she got her dinner. We started out with an appetizer of Queso which was absolutely delicious. D.I.L. Jo opted for the salad and added chicken. I had the beer brats which I love. Mine was delicious. D.I.L. Jo was amazed at her salad. It taste like they just made it with fresh everything, she said, it is absolutely the best salad I have ever had! She ate the whole thing and it was not by any stretch of the imagination small. As we were sitting there enjoying very full stomachs, I saw a dessert go by, I never order dessert because I love to cook and do terrific desserts and love doing it, but this was very interesting looking. I looked at a menu and said to Jo, we are having Gopher balls for dessert. I ordered them, doughnut holes tossed in sugar and cinnamon, BUT also with them is served a small bowl of orange sauce to dip the balls in. O M G they are to die for! Unbelievably delicious. I would love the recipe for the orange sauce it was KILLER and elevated the doughnut holes to superior status. Always love Caddy Shack but going to have to go more often before they run out of gopher balls. I was pleasantly surprised by the Caddyshack, especially after reading all of the mediocre/mixed reviews. I ordered the tomato bisque to start and the crab cakes for my entree with french fries. It did not disappoint! Crinkle cut fries are typically not my go-to... but these were fried to perfection and were hot and crisp. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet and I loved the atmosphere. I'm not really into golf, but thought the restaurant had a beautiful location within the golf resort and was decorated accordingly. The prices were very fair and I would definitely return to try out some of the other items on the menu! read more

Decided to stop in for dinner on a recent trip to St. Augustine. The restaurant was extremely busy, our waitress was stuck with a large party of picky customers so they struggled to find us a waiter that wasn't already swamped. A young waiter-in-training named Christian (hopefully I spelled it right) stepped up and waited on us, and even though he was new to the role he did a fantastic job. The food was excellent and the price was quite good. Andy Murray happened to be there that night dining with some friends and he came over and chatted with us for a few minutes. Really nice guy, made the dining experience pretty memorable. I would definitely go back again next time I'm in St. Augustine. read more

Since I was staying at the World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort, I decided to try this place for lunch. I'm a huge fan of Bill Murray so I figured it would be pretty cool. I was not disappointed. The decor all over the restaurant was based on Bill Murray and his films. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was better than I expected. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was really spicy and perfect to my liking. Excellent food and very delicious. We went to Murrays on Sunday Night for dinner. 3 adults and 1 child(age8). We immediately ordered 2 appetizers. After the waitress returned with our drinks, we ordered our dinner. I believe our waitress forgot to place our appetizer order. As we waited an exceptionally long time for our chips and salsa and the potato golf balls, I requested some silverware. She dropped off 3 sets and 3 extra napkins. There was clearly 4 people sitting at our table. The restaurant was mostly empty and they seemed to have plenty of staff present. Once our appetizers came out, our meal came out just minutes behind it. Our dinners were cold but the potato golf balls were piping hot. Food was decent. If the theme was an 80's looking run off the mill 19th hole restaurant they nailed it. Driving South on 95 and saw huge sign for World Golfing Village and Murray Brothers Restaurant. So what was a Cinderella Boy suppose to do? Tuesday Happy hour 8 at the bar 12 in the restaurant kinda empty. Bar keep was fast beer on tap was cold and fresh. I ordered the steak with Chimi Churi , garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. It was hot it was good the highlight was the spinach. When traveling through the next time I'll stop again because the people next to me were loving the Italian Beefs. I was going to order it and I didn't so I have to try it. I've been coming here for years and always got the flat bread bruschetta. By far the best item on the menu. Just got to the Caddy Shack right now only to find out they removed so many items on the menu including all the flatbreads. I am very disappointed. I noticed a few burgers have also been removed from the menu. Someone from my party asked the waitress if the flatbreads are still on the menu and she said no. A few minutes later I asked if there was any way they could just made a bruschetta flatbreads with tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette and she snapped at me. Five of us went to dinner tonight. The food was great. However, the service was AWFUL. I had to ask 3 times for a Diet Coke. The 4 other people i was with were all drinking and it took forever for them to get their beers and any refills. That's if the waiter remembered the first time. Condiments? Forget about it. We got our ranch and other dressings after our meal was finished- seriously? All of our food came out wrong. Everyone's meals were made incorrectly to the point that it was humorous. The only saving grace was that our food was good. Thank goodness we weren't in a rush because everything came out slowly and choppy. We all ate after one another because nothing came out together. The Crispy Potato "Golf Balls" were interesting. A thin film of crisp fried delicious holding together mashed potato bacon mush on the inside. The Chicago Italian beef had a great au jus which completely saved the dish for me. The fried fish from the fish and chips needed seasoning. A good choice when everything else in town has a two hour wait. read more

Good service, great food, and nice relaxed setting. After an appetizer and a meal we could hardly finish, we were really pleased.
