****AMAZING SANDWICHES**** This place has an a large selection of amazing sandwiches. We have always left this place more than satisfied. They offer three versions of the "New Jersey" Sloppy Joe - a sandwich that is usually only found in certain parts of New Jersey and not to be confused with the Manwhich Ground Beef style Sloppy Joe. There is some history behind the NJ sloppy Joe, delicious. My son had the Datil Cheesesteak and loved it! My wife enjoyed the Rueben - I snuck a bite, 2 thumbs up! Their macaroni salad was great too. The staff always greats us with a smile and they are fantastic! Enjoy!

Wow, this was a good find. A perfect lunch spot with a large variety of sandwiches and super friendly service. The restaurant is not that large, but we were seated with a minimal wait time. I got a club sandwich on a baguette. Other family members tried the Italian Stallion, Muffuletta, chef salad, cordon bleu, and the Drake's last stand. Each one of us chose something different, and each one of us loved our meal. We got the last parking spot in the lot, so you may have to park on the street.

If I lived in the area, I'd be here all the time. The service was so friendly, and the Chef Salad & Club Sandwich were soooo good for a great price. They get the classics so well - no frills, just good food.

great spot for a delicious bit and very cozy and warming atmosphere! the servers were great and very attentive and the food was delicious! I got the horsey philly cheese steak and WOW was this thing delicious. I would also highly recommend the tator tots with garlic truffle on top - delicious and perfectly cooked. I'd 100% come back when i'm in town - this place is a hidden gem

Went after their mid-day rush. Service was friendly and professional. Sandwiches are large especially if you get a side of fries or tots. Excellent place in St Augustine to get some lunch!

My husband and I ate a late lunch here while on vacation and it was one of the best meals we've had in St Augustine. He got the Rueben (best he's ever had) and I got the Monte Cristo which was absolutely delicious. We also got tots and pasta salad, both freshly made and so good. The service was attentive and friendly. We were concerned coming 30 minutes before closing that we would not be well received, but we were pleasantly surprised in the hospitality. They have a large selection of sandwiches. I wish we had found them sooner on our trip so we could try more things. I would happily eat lunch here every day if I had known. We will definitely eat here again when we're in St Augustine.

The monte cristo delivered a perfect combination of sweet and savory, best sandwich I've had to date. Service is amazing, the ladies there are always attentive and taking care of you. The atmosphere really feels like a small town sandwich shop, making you feel cozy and at home

The male server was attentive and competent but my craft beer was poured as a low abv sour and not my Swamphead IPA hazy request, which was switched out quickly. Aside from the tasty eats, the beautiful 1920's themed bar is notably a mixologists dream. Maybe add a true Speak Easy to the place which would be a cool addition. There was a walk thru to a pricey steakhouse, but not hidden so not really a Speak Easy concept if that was the intent.

The food was good across the board. The burgers stood out as the highlight juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. The fries and appetizers were also solid, and portions were generous enough to leave satisfied. The drink menu is extensive too, with a strong cocktail selection that fits the whole Prohibition theme. Service was friendly and generally on point, even though it was busy. The staff kept things moving and checked in without being intrusive.

One would think there's not much you can do with a grilled cheese sandwich, but the Grilled Cheese Gallery proves that assumption wrong. There are 13 amazing and creative choices of grilled cheese here. Don't like grilled cheese? They also serve salads, poutine, mac & cheese grilled sandwiches, ice cream and other desserts. This is Comfort Food headquarters! There were actually so many choices it was hard to choose. I chose A Night in Amsterdam: Gouda, Gruyere, Swiss, Cheddar, on Artisan White. My wife had The Queen Brie: House cured bacon, French Brie, Raspberry Puree, Balsamic on Sourdough. My Amsterdam was quite a creation: three slices balanced on a pedestal with cheese trailing down more than a foot. It was delicious! My wife lauded her Queen Brie as well. We wish we had more time in Saint Augustine as this place is definitely worth a second visit.

We ordered: the Amsterdam, the Artist, the Queen Brie, and the Classic (2 sandwiches). Three of us upgraded to a small cup of tomato soup (each order comes with a mini cup for dipping). I was the lucky person who ordered the Amsterdam, which, much to our surprise and delight, was served on a hook with melted cheese stretching down to the tray it was served on. Everyone had to take a photo of my sandwich! It contained a variety of cheeses, so while the taste was fairly classic, it was a bit more nuanced than the Classic sandwich, which only had cheddar cheese. Everyone else thought their sandwiches were delicious too. And we all loved the homemade tomato soup! I tend to be a bigger fan of creamy tomato soups, but this one was rich with umami flavor and had a bit of a kick. While this is a counter-service restaurant that's pretty much no-frills, the employees were friendly and helpful. One of them refilled our water cups at the table, even though the pitcher she had was leaking, and I didn't get the sense that they normally did that. Sadly, they don't sell soft serve ice cream any more, but there are so many ice cream shops in this part of St. Augustine that you can easily walk somewhere else for dessert (which we did). The place wasn't crowded on a Friday evening and had lots of menu choices, so if you like grilled cheese sandwiches, whether creative or simple, be sure to stop by the Grilled Cheese Gallery on your visit to St. Augustine!

Arrival: There are parking lots nearby--expect to pay around $15-25. As we walked up, there was live jazz music playing in the courtyard, which set a really great vibe right away. Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. Great time overall--will definitely be back.

We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. Every bread had its own distinct flavor and texture. Next up was the sausage appetizer featuring both a sweet sausage and a spicy sausage, all made in house. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. The service was fantastic, the food was memorable, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to for many more dates!
