My family and I ordered sandwiches here and the service was a mixed bag. One gentleman was so nice and took our order, but the woman who worked here was pretty short and rude. The sandwiches, however, were delicious. I got the eggplant parm which was yummy but they could have removed the skin off the eggplant. The roll was also tasty and fresh, and the sauce was sweet. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. They had a few tables and chairs and had a cute, classic Italian deli look inside. They have lots of Italian goodies here to buy too. We ordered quite a few sandwiches and they got the order correct which was great. I would come back here.

    Cannoli anyone?

This place is fantastic. Wonderful service and great quality food. We ordered eggplant Parmesan and veal Parmesan sandwiches. There wasn't a crumb left. It was amazing. The cannoli was actually eaten before our sandwich because we had to try it. We also bought sweet Italian sausages to bring home and cook. If you visit on a Saturday, go early. We were there at 11 and there was a steady line of customers. The prices were also reasonable. Everyone there was super friendly and made sure everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Shoutout to our local community heroes! When I come here, I feel like family! I'm sure that all their other patrons can agree! I try to try new things every time I go to a venue in order to add to my reviews... but I have a dilemma! Today, I had Jennifer cook me up a plate of spaghetti and meatballs!!!!! I already knew that the meatballs and marinara was a homemade recipe, but I was blown away by the unctuousness of this dish!!! The depth of the marinara sauce was hitting all the marks! Savory with the perfect underlying sweetness, the texture was velvety and hugged every long al dente noodle! The spice balance was perfection! The meatballs had a great mouthfeel to them and were not mushy or feeling like you bit into a burger patty. It was gentle, beefy, and complimented the marinara. I'm a little bit of a brat when it comes to sauces... this was memory making marinara!!! Mr Joe has changed my life and I cried a little bit as I savored the last bite. My sadness quickly turned into excitement and longing because I remembered that I can literally get this sauce every day ( except Sunday.. the family needs their well deserved rest)!!! And yes, of course I bought a container of the housemade mixed olives!!! And I grabbed a loaf of Italian bread to indulge in that seasoned olive oil from the mixed olives (Joe taught me that tip )!!! After all that I encountered on this day, this meal was like a big warm hug!!! I didn't even need dessert, the taste of the Love in this food was sweet enough! But don't let that stop you from enjoying all the Italian cookies, fresh cannolis, and boxed Italian nougat! Tell them, that I send my LOVE!!!! This venue is a priceless treasure in St Augustine and deserves to be recognized as such!!! God bless!!! "Mangia ca ti fa beni!" (Eat, it's good for you!) :) *Update!! - The "melt-my-heart" marinara is actually Joe's father's recipe with an extra special touch that Joe created! ... I give honor to where honor is due. I salute you for this culinary masterpiece, Joe!!! I'm a loyal fan!!!! Love ya!!!

Sandwiches and nice big and tasty cannoli.

Stopped by to check the deli out and buy some Italian delicacies. Bought raviolis, pastories, cannoli, and sausage. We decided to eat a late dinner and tried out their hero's. Wife ha chicken cutlet hero and I had the mozzarella and prosciutto. Portion size was plentiful and sandwiches were delicious. Having worked in an Italian delicacies on long island in my youth, this place has everything you could want, high quality, selection and fair prices. The owners are from Italy and personable as is the entire staff. Recommend them for good food and your Italian delicacies.

Stopped by this cozy little Italian deli for lunch and it did not disappoint! We were greeted right away, which added to the warm, homey vibe. The food was delicious and priced really well for the quality - the meatballs and the "hit man" Italian sandwich were fantastic! My husband ordered a hot pastrami sandwich; it came out warm rather than piping hot, which he wasn't expecting, but it still tasted great. We noticed that a bunch of people ordered the various Italian sandwiches so maybe stick to those if it's your first time here. Seating is limited, with just a few tables inside and a couple outside, but it worked fine for us. It did start to get busy around lunchtime, so be prepared to wait in line to order and pay at the counter. That said, it's totally worth the wait. Definitely give this place a shot!

It's a grocery, it's a deli, it's a restaurant and it's absolutely delicious! And just like that, I have another new favorite place! This is a true hidden gem. My family and I discovered it when attending another business nearby and just had to try it. All of their sandwiches are on the windows for review before entering...just reading them all makes you hungry. Good luck deciding! That said, they do have a menu on the wall by the counter inside and they have hard copies to take to your table as well. They have other items aside from sandwiches too, like Spaghetti and Parmigiana to name a few. You order at the counter and if you choose to eat in they'll bring the food to you. After you are done eating, you pay at the counter as well. Please note, you will have to pay for drink refills here. The staff is kind and helpful. There is plenty of parking. Keep in mind they aren't open on Sundays. End note: for some of you this deli may remind you of the deli's of yesteryear, when some of us were kids. Just entering this place may take you back...it's just pretty cool. Places like this just don't exist anymore and/or hard to find. Lucky for us we have this place here and it's been here a long time and hopefully a long time to come. Highly recommend...enjoy!

Freshly sliced Italian cold cuts topped with the works!

We have always wanted to try this deli and we found ourselves in the neighborhood right around lunchtime. The place was filled with what seemed like x New Yorkers. There are a few tables inside and out in a true deli atmosphere with Italian products for sale, big deli counters, a freezer section filled with all kinds of fresh pastas and sauces. You can take home and reheat. We grabbed a table inside and the server took our order. I really enjoyed my chef salad with turkey. I'm sorry that my photo didn't turn out on that because it was huge and loaded with thinly sliced turkey meat and provolone cheese. My husband had a sub full of Italian style cold cuts layered on a fresh roll with the works. I was able to grab a photo of one half of the sandwich before he devoured it. The waiter tried to tempt us with their homemade cannolis, but we are in serious need of dropping a few pounds so we had to pass on that.

Love this place tucked away off Highway 1 South in St Augustine. A classic throwback deli from the past yet so refreshing in modern times. Great deli menu and the retail space is (literally) stacked with all kinds of goodies, deli meats and cheese. Will make this place a regular place I'll visit over and over!

We discovered D'aleo's because my husband loves Italian grinders. He is always looking for a great place to get one and our trip to this lunch stop did not disappoint. I would say keep in mind that this is definitely a local, italian run small business and not a chain. Even the menu was mostly hand written in post it notes on the walls. However, just run in and grab a sub to go for a great price and anything else the store is lacking won't really matter. My husband ordered the hit man and I went with the boss. Both featured at least 4 different types of meat and provolone cheese. As you can tell from my picture, the meat was so thick that it was actually overtaking the thin hoagie roll. My favorite part is that despite all of that meat, our sandwiches were ready in about 5 minutes. TIP-- There is a strange 3.5% surcharge for paying with card? Not sure what's up with that, but grab cash before your visit!

Unbelievably awesome, and completely authentic! What a find! I can't believe we didn't know about this place! If you are looking for the best subs in Saint Augustine! This Italian sub restaurant is unbelievably awesome! My wife had the "The Hitman " sub and I had "The Godfather". Wow, that's all I can say is wow! They have freshly made ravioli and tortellini for sale! They make home made sauces for purchase as well! You cannot go wrong here! The cannoli is the best my wife and I have ever had in our lives hands down!!

Party sub made with ciabatta and sliced meats and cheeses all purchased at the deli.

Angelina was warm, personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly efficient throughout the evening. We enjoyed our experience so much that we actually canceled our reservation at another restaurant the following night just so we could return to Terra & Acqua a second time. The interior wasn't my favorite; the aesthetic didn't really read as Italian to me and leaned more modern. The tables and seating felt a bit on the cheaper side. We went on a Friday around 7:30 pm, and it was surprisingly quiet inside. Drinks: I ordered a sangria, which wasn't my favorite. It tasted on the weaker side. Food: I ordered the gnocchi. It was a bit rubbery and not as soft or potato-forward as I prefer. It reminded me more of store-bought gnocchi than homemade. That said, the portion size felt fair for the price. Location: The restaurant is located on the St. Augustine Beach barrier island, which is convenient if you're staying nearby and don't want to head into historic downtown for dinner. It was in a slightly odd spot within a business complex, with condos located above. Service: Good. Overall: It's fine for convenience, but not a place I'd suggest to someone visiting St. Augustine and looking for standout dinner spots.

This restaurant is one of our "go to" for a real authentic Italian meal…read more We brought some family that was visiting during the week and everyone was very satisfied with their meals. The only complaint was that the dishes with vodka sauce had way too much sauce on the plate. My sister-in-law can't eat gluten any more as of last year, so she had bolognese with gluten free pasta (she said it was good but not great) but she said that is because she misses her regular pasta, so no pasta will ever be great again for her. My Niece had pasta with vodka sauce, there was way too much sauce on the plate but it was very good. My Nephew had chicken parm with vodka sauce and he loved it, again a little too much sauce on the plate though. I always get the same thing, escarole and beans with grilled chicken over pasta. This time it was a bit spicy for some reason, so I didn't love it as much as usual, but it was still very good and something you just can't find in this area. Dessert was cannolis and home made cheese cake. The owner makes the cakes here and they are all very good. Service was very attentive and good. P.S. their bread with whipped butter is excellent!

It was like having dessert first! My husband ordered angel hair spaghetti with marinara sauce. He really enjoyed it. I ordered chicken Marsala. Both dishes were excellent. The Marsala sauce was so flavorful, plenty of mushrooms, and is served with your choice of pasta--I had penne. The entrees were both plentiful portions and we had enough to take home for another meal. We saved room for dessert. My husband had the chocolate cake and I had the Italian cheesecake which is made from ricotta cheese. It was creamy and delicious, and I enjoyed it with an excellent cup of coffee. Highly recommend this lovely family restaurant, a favorite of the locals in St. Augustine.

It saddens me to write this review of a restaurant with so many positive reviews, but sadly this…read morerestaurant missed on just about all of the food that we got. The service was pretty good, I can admit, however even that could've been better. We got started with our evening with a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced. The house arancini was chicken stuffed, which we were only told about after we ordered the dish. Sadly, the chicken pieces were large and there was just not enough cheese to really make this dish work - nor enough sauce. I even got a piece of bone in my arancini, which just ruined my appetite. We then had decided on the chicken parm for the main course (which later we realized was rather similar to the arancini). The first chicken parm piece that was got was rather large in size, however as we cut into the dish we noticed that half of the meat was still pink and cold to the touch. We showed our waiter, and instead of treating us with some empathy, we were told that "well its not our fault, but I've been trying to tell the guys in the back to pound the meat before cooking it." We were given another piece of chicken, and it was only slightly better than the first piece, but we ate a few bites and called it an evening. It's too bad, I'd be willing to try this place out for other dishes but I don't know if I'll choose this place again, knowing there are other options nearby. The best part of the evening was the ambiance and the wine, so maybe a happy hour in the future is in order.
