I was driving home from Orlando and my husband suggested that we meet at this restaurant in the St. Augustine area. I am glad he did because it was a great decision. The restaurant is located in a small strip shopping center and has indoor, outdoor and bar seating. We were quickly seated when we arrived at 5:30. By the time we left there was a line of about ten people waiting to be seated. Our server, Jacob, quickly came over to take our drink orders. The menu offers appetizers, salads, pizzas and pasta dishes. We opted for the Insalata Simone. It had greens, olives, carrots, onions, cauliflower, and croutons with a while balsamic vinaigrette dressing. My husband and I split the large version and it was just the right size and very tasty. We also got the Toscana pizza . It had sausage, onions, mozzarella and ricotta cheese. It came with six slices of good tasting pizza. For dessert we ordered a regular and a chocolate chip cannoli. Both were beautiful and tasty.

Overall a good experience. We got there early, before the crowd and were seated immediately. Our waiter, Mica, and an associate,Sam, attended to us. They took time to explain the restaurant and shared the specials. Love the craft to table concept. We ordered the caprese salad as an appetizer. It was decent. Unfortunately, it really isn't tomato season here so it wasn't as good as it could be. For dinner, my wife got the mahi special. I got the shrimp diavolo. Both were good but a bit salty for our palate. Portions look small, but really have a lot to them. Before we were done, the restaurant was packed. Fully understand why so many come here.

In the mood for a brick oven pizza? I was and this hit the spot. The Caprese salad was good, the Margherita pizza was good and the bread pudding was delicious. My only complaint, no liquor, just beer and wine. It's a small place and the wait might be long but I think it's worth it.

We have eaten here many times but it is usually just for their pizza. Tonight we decided to celebrate a birthday with a full meal. We were seated immediately on a Tuesday night and found out that locals get 15% off their checks on Tuesdays. Michael was our server and he explained the specials and answered our questions. The food was spectacular. The pizza with the prosciutto and miele was sensational 10/10. The entrees were large portions so there were plenty of leftovers. I thought the short ribs and pappardelle was also a 10/10. My husband loves chicken parm so he thought it was great. I declined rating it because I do not care for chicken parm in general. The white chocolate bread pudding is magnificent. No matter how full you are, it slides down with the smoothest, most delicious flan like texture. It is not like any bread pudding I have ever had anywhere. It is a great hidden gem in a strip mall. The food is really the star and consistently good service.

Dinner at Simone's Wood Fired Craft Kitchen in St. Augustine, Florida was amazing! This place had great ambience, upscale vibe and every table was full! The wine, appetizers and food were excellent! We started with the freshly baked artisan bread basket with oregano and basil dipping oil. The Salsiccia Toscana Pizza (san marzano sauce, sweet and spicy tuscan sausages, balsamic onion confit-fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheese) was absolutely perfect! Service was exceptional! Finding parking was a little challenging but worth it. I would definitely recommend!

My husband ordered some meat slices as well. When he arrived around 12:15 pm on a Thursday to make the order, the lady at the register stated they are out of garlic knots for the day and that they have to make grandma's pizza as there were no slices available for purchase. This was disappointing as we wanted something where we didn't have to wait for long. The wait time was about 20 minutes. My husband noticed couple of customers who entered the restaurant but then abruptly leave since they didn't want to wait for the pizza to be made. Now onto the pizza, overall I enjoyed the grandma's pizza. I thought it was flavorful and the tomato sauce on it was delicious. The cheese pizza was pretty good too. The slices are big and filling. Overall, if you happen to be in the Flagler college area, give this place a try.

It's not a super big pizza shop, but it has some good seating. Most of the time there is a line out the door. The window is a beautiful thing to look at, you see all the pizza making and all of the types of pizza flavors they have. The slices are pretty large each one is about $9-$10 a slice, and let me tell you its completely worth it. Our favorite is the Genova, which is a white pizza with chicken, ricotta, and herbs. Also the chicken parm is delicious and the garlic knots are to die for; they are hot, soft, and definitely have garlic. Drinks are separate. They have calzones, salads, potato balls and large pizza orders. Its a good place to have lunch or a quick slice. It is definitely filling but worth it, it requires a nap after back at the hotel lol.

So, with that said, it's safe to say we were naive. Typically, we understand that any tourist spot you go to, the prices will be higher than some other spots that are less touristy. However, he we were still expecting cheaper slices of pizza. I mean they're slices and I can buy whole delivery pizzas for the same price they're charging per slice here. Now granted, their prices are also very much within eyesight as soon as you walk in. So, it shouldn't have been such a surprise, but we just ordered what we wanted and thought it wouldn't be that bad. Then, we realized they didn't take credit or debit cards until we got to the register. It was CASH ONLY. 4 slices of pizza, 2 water bottles and a small cup of pepperocinis came out to $53. My husband and I put our cash together to pay for the tab. Yeah, it makes sense to some people for it to be that pricey, but we just didn't expect slices to be that much money. The pizza was good. It's wasn't super cheesy, but the marinara pizza sauce was tasty and not overly loaded on the pie. Honestly, I was hoping the cheese and sauce would've been more fused together in pure delicious harmony, but it was like they heated up old pizza slices in the oven that had been sitting out for a long time. To me, the pizza didn't taste like an authentic NY pizza, but it was still pretty good. The service was decent. You could tell it was the end of the shift for their employees, based on their tired faces and lack of smiling enthusiasm. I guess I had big hopes for this place and it just wasn't what we were expecting out of that whole experience.

The cooked penne was sitting on the counter uncovered, just vibing at room temperature like it had officially given up. The sauce? The Chicken Marsala arrived undefeated in battle against any form of tenderizing. This chicken was not pounded thin -- it clearly lifts weights. I needed a steak knife, determination, and possibly a waiver to cut through it. We shared one entrée and a bottle of wine that tasted like grapes filed a formal complaint, and somehow the bill still hit $65. I checked twice to make sure we hadn't accidentally invested in the business. And just when you think the experience is complete, surprise! There's a debit card fee. Don't worry though -- the owner's son (also waiter, host, busboy, and possibly assistant regional manager) will loudly explain it from across the restaurant so the entire dining room can stay informed.
