One of my favorite places to go. The lasagna is a must have. Be prepared to take home leftovers.

I was here a couple of months ago. We ordered the steak special and the fish special. Both were outstanding. So tonight we decided to order from their traditional Italian selections. Chicken parmigiana and a pizza. I must say I was highly dissatisfied with items for different reasons. I order prosciutto on the pizza which caused everything to be too salty. That was my fault. The chicken parmigiana however arrived and the sauce was watery, extremely hot and quite honestly under seasoned. The chicken was overcooked as well. It looked very good just didn't live up to its appearance. read more

Very welcoming as soon as you step inside. The smell of the wood burning added to the ambience. I was there for lunch & grabbed a takeaway meal for later! The meatball panini was HUGE & easily was enough good for me and my husband. It did need a bit more marinara served on the side, would be nice. Server, Stephanie was easy going and didn't let the (somewhat discourteous) customers deter her from smiling. I would definitely recommend and will return for pizza!! read more

My group just had pizza, so no opinions here on the rest of the menu. Overall, most things were fine. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing to get excited about. It felt pretentious both for pricing and for the menu. I would come back if a friend really wanted to, but it wouldn't be a pick I would make on my own. read more

I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of pizza in general and I think it's overrated especially for the price. Went to Simone's with the family. We ordered: Calamari. Kids loved it and there were no complaints. I only ended up getting 1 piece. Parmesan wings. Were cooked really nice but were over salted. Caesar salad. My wife never orders salad or even eats it but wanted one. She loved it. Pizza verde. The toppings on this made the dish. I was happy with this one. Half pepperoni/ half sausage pizza. Average and underwhelming. Was not crispy enough. Not enough flavor. My kids really didn't go for it and said they would rather have the frozen pizza at home. The best part for me was the crust. I would give this place a 6/10 which is above average but not great. I don't think I'd ever go back. read more

]We planned on going to another place nearby but decided to try Simones since it was new to my wife and me. We started with some appetizers of clam chowder, calamari and mahi-mahi strips throwing in a small Della Simone salad to cleanse the palate. While not a traditional New England clam chowder there was a lot going on in the bowl. Creamy with multiple spices and plenty of clam. More like a bisque than a chowder. It was good to the last drop. The calamari was crunchy outside and tender inside with good seasoning. It lay on a bed of salad with pickled peppers and shaved slices of parmesan cheese. Good combo of flavors. The Mahi tenders were battered with a crip outside and flaky inside. I could have ended the meal with these but we took it beyond for a fuller experience and like to get a bit over everything when trying a new place. The meatballs while basically an appetizer could be a whole meal themselves. Made of beef and veal served hot with simmering sauce and shaved cheese. Soft yet also firm. Seasoned but not overpowering and the sauce is a rich tomato with slightly sweet and minor acidity for well rounded combination. I should have asked for some bread to scoop up sauce. The Salsiccia Toscana pizza finished the food sampling round. With a crunchy cauliflower crust loaded with sausage crumbles, pickled onions and chunks of melted mozzarella it ranks in the top 5 pizzas I've eaten anywhere. Lastly we got the bread pudding. Unfortunately that was to go and I didn't get a picture. It was very much like a custard pie. Being a chocolate lover I rarely eat custards so I can't provide an accurate flavor profile on that other than it was good warm with vanilla ice cream. If you're in the area and you have $40-60 for lunch or dinner this is the place to go. Simones will probably become a regular for Saturday meals. read more

Yep I agree this restaurant is worth a try. Had a late lunch today with my wife. Have read many good reviews about them although they are not close to where we live we happened to be near their restaurant- so we thought we would try them. We arrived towards the end of the busy lunch hour. We had a short wait as staff was cleaning tables both inside and on their patio. When we visit again I'd try to arrive around 2:30. They had a sheet with their Friday lunch specials. I started with the black bean, pork smoked sausage and rice. Very tasty - could have been warmer (mentioned it to our waitress who let the kitchen know). The pizza today was a tomato, mozzarella, smoked Gouda, spicy sausage with eggplant and a reduced balsamic drizzle. Really great taste. Loved it. Wife had pasta and meatballs (2 rather large & very tasty meatballs). Very good. We both brought home leftovers- but so happy we tried the white chocolate bread pudding. It was excellent. So it's a 5. If your travels bring you to World Golf Village you need to try them. Ask for Stephanie she took good care of us. read more

We love this place! The Simone salad is amazing! We always love our food. My husband loves the lasagna! Purified water which is a plus.

First visit was excellent so was looking forward to returning. Was very busy and wait was 1/2 hour at 5 pm so we decided to have a drink at bar. Ordered Sauvignon blanc and was told they "just " ran out. How can you run out at 5:00 pm? Ordered Pizza special . The crust was very thin and soggy. Center of pizza undercooked. Also had Parmesan chicken which was under seasoned and dry. On scale of 1-5...would only give them a 2 tonight! read more

After dining in at Simone's our love for this place only grew. The food was phenomenal and fresh, even the kids meal grilled chicken was well beyond our expectations. The service was extremely attentive and kept the food coming to the table at the most appropriate times, which has been a very nice change of pace compared to most restaurants in the area. The restaurant itself was clean, the decor was minimal but very elegant and highlighted their wood fired oven. The smells when you walk in the restaurant make you so excited to eat here and they definitely did not disappoint. Must order is the meatballs and the bread basket for an appetizer and if your kids love grilled chicken as much as mine, they will not be disappointed with their meal. When I moved here in September, I fell in love with this restaurant. I'm not sure what has happened over the last months of 2025, whoever their chef is has lost his touch or they've replaced their original chef. I was in there on Wednesday evening and ordered shrimp scampi, and a friend ordered chicken Parmesan and it was awful. The noodles were stuck together, and mushy. We asked kindly if they would redo our meal and they did. But with great disappointment, it was the same thing with the noodles. Absolutely terrible. They said they would send the manager out and a woman came out with a bandanna wearing blue scrubs. Maybe pretending to be the manager? I am not sure. Said she would take care of it... But nothing changed. And then when the bill arrived, there was no discount, no offer to comp a meal or give us a dessert. Very disappointing we will not be back. There are plenty of great restaurants in Saint Augustine. That's not one of them anymore. Yes, I asked for a box to bring my shrimp home after not being comped my meal. The noodles were stuck together and mushy...my box noodles at home are much more edible. Basically I paid $25 for 4 shrimp. Not going back. read more

We were just so excited for Simone's to open. It's a beautiful space, and it's close to home, both of which are huge bonus points. I'm also going to say that service is incredible. The servers were all super wonderful and lovely. The food was fine. And it's nice to have an Italian restaurant in the area. However... We will most likely go back for wine and appetizers, as both were good, and will give some more time for the kitchen to hit its groove. I have also heard that the pizza is fantastic, so we will most likely give that a try, too. We started with a bottle of wine, and two appetizers: a bread basket ($8) and the meatballs ($15). The bread was good, and served with a herbed oil. The meatballs were also good. It's important to note that food came out extremely fast and was piping hot. The meatballs had great flavor and texture. Simone's boasts homemade pasta, which was so exciting, however the majority of their pasta-centric dishes are just buried under heavy sauces and lots of extras. Fresh pasta is a rarity in our area and deserves the spotlight. My husband ordered the Pollo e Campanelli Alla Pesto ($18), which was chicken breast, mushrooms, tomato, broccoli, pesto cream sauce all served over campanelli pasta. It was fine (and not super salty, which was a plus for him), but just seemed unnecessary. I would love to see a Cacio e Pepe dish, or a Scampi - just something lighter to really highlight that fresh pasta. Another thing to point out is, as of the time of our dining, the restaurant would make no modifications to the posted dishes. For example, I was eyeing a pasta dish but it was served with chicken, and I was hoping for something more vegetarian in nature. Our server said this would not be possible. Customizations only included switching to GF pasta or a made to order pizza. I totally understood, simply because the restaurant is new and modifications can definitely slow down service, but at the price of the entrees, it shouldn't be so difficult to find just the right dish. I ended up getting the Insalata Caprese ($14), which was HUGE. It was also quite delicious, but the greens were well-soaked in olive oil, so I couldn't finish them. I have high hopes that Simone's will become a solid neighborhood eating establishment, and look forward to them finding their way through the early days of their presence here. read more

I live very close to this establishment, so I have been many times. I can say when I first started going a few years back and until recently it was wonderful and a little higher priced but worth it and I loved the Happy Hour wines! Have never been a fan of having to pay for a breadbasket that should be a complimentary table service, but nonetheless, I continued to go. Now recently I have had several bad experiences and I'm done! No Gluten-free noodles (how hard is it to keep a pantry staple on hand) which led to me having to get a side of mashed potatoes but the chicken pesto dish I had always drooled over was now just MEH and the chicken was so tough I thought I was getting gristle in every bite. First sat down and this place has a cool vibe, the wait staff was soo pleasant. Brought a bottle of water to the table. We stopped for a quick linch stop, ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was DELICIOUS! The crust was perfect, the pepperoni was crispy around the corners( the way i like it) the sausage was very favorable. They have two large wood fired ovens. Great bar as well. We ordered off the happy hour menu, with the artisan bread basket (with dipping oil), a small Caesar salad, the three 5-oz. meatballs and their lemon-garlic wood fired chicken wings! A beautiful venue for great food. Everything is made fresh from the pasta to the pizza dough. I even had the pickiest eater on the planet joining us for dinner and she loved the pizza. The portions of the delectables are as big as your head and you need a fork-lift (hahaha) to heave it into a to-go carton. They have a lovely list for wine but I went for the Prosecco. Oh, if you have room for dessert, go for the white chocolate pudding and share it. Your friends will appreciate it and the haters will become converts! Keep in mind that this is a very popular restaurant especially when it gets close to the weekend. The parking is also a challenge since the restaurant shares the property with a Gator Dockside, Pizza Hut, a BBQ place...you get the picture. Also make sure that your party is present and accounted for when checking in with the hostess. They won't seat you unless everyone's there. At least in my experience, (and this was last year). we had a table for 6 with one missing (late leaving work) so we loitered around in the small waiting area, preventing other customers from checking in. It was a mess and rather silly on their part because we could see that our table was ready. There is seating at the bar. It's spacious but gets filled up as well. read more

Excellent wood fired craft Italian kitchen as the name implies. Our friends suggested we join them for dinner. The restaurant doesn't accept reservations and they are always busy with a wait of about 30-40 minutes tonight. We had a great time at the bar with the lovely bartender and a bottle of Volpolicella. she steered us well. Great fun family vibe, family run, with CIA chef who happened to be off tonight. Happy birthday! We voted that my dish was best- fresh pappardella - house made pastas - with delicious, hearty red wine braised short ribs. Perfect for a chilly, rainy night. I love short ribs, and these were tender and juicy with big shredded chunks in sauce over the pasta. My friend's husband had the Marsala over pasta, a dish he has ordered before and loves. My friend ordered catch of the day over small house salad and was disappointed. Mahi just shouldn't be wood fired- it's too light and delicate and tasted like it sat in ash. The salad was lacking veggies - basically field greens. Tasteless, and sorry looking compared to the full sized salads at other tables. I think she should have ordered it prepared in the catch of the day special with a white wine lemon garlic sauce over pasta, but that too may have been too much for Mahi. My husband said the fish tasted ripe - not quite fresh. I thought it tasted a bit overdone, so luckily I shared my dish with her and still took home nearly half! My husband's linguine with 3 large meatballs was a hit. I tasted the sauce and pasta - nice fresh taste - but I don't eat veal so didn't try the meatballs. People near us ordered the appetizer serving which is apparently a house favorite. His dish is the second reason for 4-4.5 stars. For some odd reason, the most basic Italian dish at our table came out a bit later than the other 3 with no explanation! Other people were served between the time 3 of us were served and his dish arrived! Mystery. We will definitely be back and we have to try their pizza. It looked great! Authentic, crisp tender crust and wood fired to perfection. Definitely worth the wait! I complimented the chefs and they were so cute and grateful for the recognition. We could tell the ingredients were very fresh and not from a can or frozen. Went to Simone's Wood Fired Craft Kitchen last night. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The food was amazing! Our server was fantastic too! She said they had house made Sangria so I got that to drink. It was a red wine, and I usually drink white, but it was sweet and very good!! I will definitely get that again! For appetizers we ordered the meatballs and a freshly baked artisan bread basket. And then I ordered the margarita pizza and my husband got the Salsiccia Toscana pizza. We moved here Almost 2 years ago and honestly we average eating here weekly. They don't have a liquor license so beer and wine only but we live there choices. They have dinner specials daily. Wish they had coffee to go with their AMAZING desserts. MUST TRY their Bread pudding ( even if you don't like bread pudding, trust me on this) we always take company. I'm a realtor and I take my buyers and sellers here to eat. It's amazing to be able in this day and age to be able to say we have NEVER had bed food or bad service. Great little family spot. We had great servers each time we went. Sat outside once and inside our second time. The house salad was to die for! It had olives and chilled cauliflower and great dressing. The pizza was good but not amazing it gets soggy on the bottom fast esp with pepperoni on it to weigh it down. I suggest less toppings. Or ask for extra crispy! The wine selection was fabulous and the bread basket is a MUST! The dipping oil is phenomenal! Only one issue is the wait - we had a hour wait both times. If it's busy, parking is minimal and definitely a hike (wear flats). try parking behind building or across the street. read more
