Every time we visit, we're blown away by the food! You're greeted when you walk in, there's a specials board behind the cash register, and easy-to-read menus. While standing at the register, you can see into their extremely clean kitchen! Both times, we've gotten pizza, one regular, and one on gluten-free crust. After passing by Space Pie House continually a couple of times per day for over a year...we finally gave it a go, and it was great! There's quite a few chain pizza places in Jacksonville which take the lead in most conversations when people want pizza, which is why I think Space Pie House is a sleeper. What struck us right off the bat was creative selection of pies and appetizers, and the neatness with which they made it. Most pizza down here is sloppily made with cheese and sauce falling off the sides, which makes for an annoying experience. The medium (12 inch) pizza is what I got, half cheese and half pepperoni was delicious, and plenty for one person, I had leftovers. Additionally, the other table members with me, shared a small pizza and side salad, and with very specific pizza requirements, they handled everything! The staff was very help and very kind, it was a warm sitting inside the restaurant, BUT with the big pizza ovens what do you expect. I would absolutely eat here again! Found this little gem one night whilst waiting for my kid ti get out of the exit theater class. And I'm so glad I did! We ordered a small pizza for the kids, veal parm for myself and hubby. So yummy and fresh! The staff welcomed us in, and were very friendly. They even thanked us for coming in. We enjoyed our for so much, we ordered two pizzas a few days later lol. Great local place for pizza! A little unassuming, I met a friend here for lunch and she was kind of worried because it was not busy at 1pm on a weekday. However, we ordered our pizza and after tasting hers, she ordered a second to go for her husband. Their pizza crust is nice and light yet just a little doughy. It has a creat consistency. Their toppings are fresh and well dispersed. I personally love the BLT pizza. I am not a fan of red sauce in general and was glad to see they have a few other options. but I love fresh lettuce on a BLT pizza and theirs is great! I took my nephew and hey loved the pepperoni. He said it was his second favorite in Jacksonville after V Pizza but for the price, this easily beats it if you don't want to spend $25 for an individual pizza. I have yet to try other items but I have seen the pasta and calzones in other orders and it does look good. They have a coke machine for fountain drinks. The service is always very good. Clean and had good help but I was really disappointed in the quality of the food for the cost. One lrg pizza with three toppings one small cheese only, app and 4 drinks was over $70! Honestly, screaming Sicilian from the grocery store is better. It was bland and the crust didn't seem hand tossed, more like frozen. The garlic bread was very bland and looked like something I make at home with left over hotdog buns. Disappointed to say the least. Oh and ranch? Expect to pay extra for it. read more

Arrived at 6:00 PM on a Friday night. The service was very nice. Place appeared to be clean. Unfortunately, the food was rather tasteless. The pizza was cooked well, but very few toppings/tomato sauce as we ordered the meat pie and felt it was mostly bland cheese. The cheese bread was just a loaf of French bread cut in half with a large portion of cheese. It looked like something you could do at home. For $7, it wasn't worth it. Both the pie and the bread seemed to be missing something - like oregano for example. The mozzarella fried cheese had a light bread coating. Definitely worth eating while it's hot. Best thing overall was the shrimp wrap. A little pricey at $12, but it had a very nice taste to it. We wanted to visit this place specifically to try a new New York style pizza, but it was disappointing to us. Also - while the place was very spacious, it was extremely hot even with the high ceiling fans. Very sad as my family was really looking for a new pizza joint to start visiting on Fridays. read more
