Meat pizza
Douglass W.

Our favorite local pizza joint has changed some ingredients and we needed to find a new "place". We found Tony's (which has been here for many years), and we couldn't be happier. The pizza is generously sized, high quality and tasty. LOVE the margherita. Also tried thier "meat" lovers style pizza, both excellent. Can't wait to try Grandma's pizza. But we have found our new spot! The apps have been a little hit and miss (thus 4 instead of 5 stars from me). But hey, their core product is amazing!

You might bristle at the nice lady who answers the phone (she gets to the point) but the pizza is the best!!! Don't forget the number.

Excellent pizza and salads. Ask for extra-crispy crust. Have not tried their pasta. Friendly service.

I peaked in the kitchen and they were working it in there. Our sauces were so tasty that had to be a secret sauce recipe. I had the pasta del ponente sausage very good. My wife had the shrimp rosato that she loved! They kept bringing us this delicious bread! Both dishes we dipped the bread into the remaining sauce in our dishes. We ordered a very good bottle of wine. Our waitress was top notch with great named Danielle. The place is very romantic for a date night. It was freezing when we got in but we were fine after a few minutes.

The rosato had ample shrimp, fairly large and it had good sauce/pasta ratio. My friend enjoyed his ravioli as well. You can tell their ingredients are fresh. They also provided slices of bread to use to sop up the sauce. If the bread was warm, it would've made it a bit better. For dessert, we shared the seasonal pumpkin cannoli. I loved that it wasn't too sweet and had a strong pumpkin flavor. Service was attentive and very friendly. Restaurant was quaint, intimate and pretty quiet. Great for dates and conversations. Would go again to try other dishes!

They're located at 3787 Palm Valley Road in Ponte Vedra Beach. We started with the Arancini. There were two things that surprised us about it. First, it was way lighter than we expected which ended up being a good thing. I almost voted against it as an appetizer because it's usually a heavy app but I was happy with how light their take is. The other thing is that we were both surprised by was peas being included. Then again, its been a long time since we've had this app so that could be more common than we remember. I ordered Chicken Marsala which came with another surprise, in a very good way. Maybe it's just me but I find that a lot of places go way too sweet with the sauce on this dish. There certainly was a sweet taste to theirs but not overly so. More like a hint, which was good by me. The portion size was very big. So much so that I took half home for lunch the following day. The noodles were VERY good too. I'm no expert so I can't say for sure if they make them there but it certainly tasted like they might. My wife ordered a 12" Hot Honey Hustler Pizza. She's had variants of this type of pizza at a few places around town over the past year. She's actually had to kind of piece it together more than anything by ordering hot honey on the side or adding other things on. So she was excited to see they offer it like she wanted it right out of the gate. She said when you look at the photos you'll probably think it's too much on a pizza but it's not. When you eat it, it's actually well balanced. She liked the quality of the crust too. She took about 3/4 of the pie home, so she'll have some great lunch tomorrow as well. Like I said, we rarely get down to Ponte Vedra but we had a reason to be down there tonight so I'm glad we remembered to stop in at Vincenzo's while we were in the area. Definitely a solid choice for anyone who might be near them. A version of this review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

Well, I have to say that this restaurant can compete with the best in NYC, New Haven, and Providence or Boston! First and foremost, the service was top notch. The attentiveness and efficiency of our waiter was the best, but to top it off, 2 of the owners each came to the table to check on things. This is something that stands out today. I love it. The atmosphere was comfortable yet refined and the place is very clean. The dim lighting is a point that my wife appreciates in a restaurant setting, but our seats were probably the least lit, (our backs to the front window) and our old eyes needed our phone lights to read the menu, haha. The Arancini was perfect and we loved the marinara. My veal dish was magnificent with it's perfectly cooked, large and very tender cutlet. My wife fully enjoyed the Pappardelle con Vongole nero and I thought it was phenomenal. We can't wait to visit the best Italian restaurant in JAX again, when we return in October.

I had heard about the Pear Fiocchi and decided to give it a try. OH MY WORD! The balance of sweet, savory and salty is just perfect! Wasn't sure if I'd like the mix of Gorgonzola and goat cheese but it really is one of the most delicious Alfredo type sauces I've had. And I really loved that it was not over sauced. The crispy bits of Prosciutto di Parma were the best topping! My hubby and I sat at the bar. He had the clams and being a bit of a clam snob, he really enjoyed his dish! This is a busy little place but worth the wait. It's not crazy loud even though it's a small, intimate, busy restaurant. Mark and Ryan were so attentive and friendly. If you haven't been, you really should go. Sit at the bar! Make new friends!

This was our second time at House Italian and the first thing we noticed we that they've expanded to double the size the from our last visit. We started with the Meatball Appetizer this time and liked it a lot. We like their sauce and the fact that it wasn't buried in too much cheese. We both got to pick starters with our meals as well. I went with the Lemon Chicken Soup which I had last time. I'm not a big lemon fan but it's not overpowering in this soup, it's more like a hint which is why I had it again. My wife loved the dressing on their house salad last time, so she went with that again too. You get garlic bread with your meal and yes, it tastes every bit as good as it looks in the photo I took. I picked the Seafood Over Linguini for my entree. Again, the lemon aspect of the butter sauce wasn't overpowering which is great. There was a LOT of seafood, just like the seafood risotto I had last time and the noodles were cooked perfectly. In short, I'm going to have a hard time moving away from their seafood offerings. My wife had their Chicken Francese last time and absolutely loved it. She wanted to try something else this time she so went with Chicken Scampi. It was as good as she hoped. She didn't give me specifics but she did say "oh that's the stuff" a lot from the first bite on lol. A couple of other things are worth note: first, we got there at 5:30 and even with the expansion, they were PACKED. We felt pretty fortunate to get the literal last available booth. I rarely recommend this but if you're going to go try them, I'd strongly recommend reservations for your first time. Just to make sure you don't show up at the wrong time and end up with a long wait because their word of mouth is so strong. Last but not least, shout out to Waldi, our server. He greeted us at the counter with a smile,, sat us, then became our server too. He was taking care of us, other tables, handling carry out orders and probably other stuff I didn't see. And the dude was smiling the whole time to top it off!

I came for lunch, when they offer half portions, which I think is a good deal.
