My daughter who is extremely picky and rarely eats, basically ate my entire sandwich last time so I ordered her, her own sandwich. She says they make the best sandwiches ever. We both love this place, the ladies that work there are so nice and always give my daughter free cookies. The sandwiches are consistent, they make them the same, perfect every time! My husband and I are on a kick of supporting local businesses and stopped here yesterday for lunch. We picked up sausage and pepper sandwiches and agreed they were both delicious and worth the value (I believe they were just under $7 each). Parking at lunch is a bit chaotic since there it is in a center with a McDonald's, Arby's, and El Pollo Loco along with a few others. I got the turkey, swiss, and avocado sandwich on squaw bread. With all cold sammies you get the options of mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. The sandwich was killer!! They are so generous with the avocado mash - it was on both the top and bottom of the sandwich. Everything was piled high. The squaw bread adds a little sweetness to the overall sandwich. Was driving around one day during lunch deciding what I wanted and came across this place. I ordered one of the specials (which happened to be roast beef which came with chips and a drink). Sandwich was very tasty and not a bad deal (I believe 9 bucks) for the area as Irvine's very pricey for lunch and dinner. Dining area is very small, and seating is available outside, but also very small, plus a congested parking area. read more

I don't know where to start, first off I was having a bad day and decided to give MR. Sandwich a try. The staff was so amazing and kind. I didn't know that I came in right on closing until I sat down inside and saw one of the workers change the open sign to closed, so I decide to pick up my stuff and go to the outer seating so they can close and the lady said "it's okay eat inside and take your time" and out of nowhere she gifts me some cookies. My day changed in a sec. To finish it off I accidentally forgot my soda in the restaurant and went to pump gas in the same district and next thing I know the amazing lady walked all the way to the gas station and gave me my soda. I'm always in the hunt for another great chicken salad sandwich. Before heading to a deli, cafe, bistro or sandwich shop, the first thing I always check is if they have a chicken salad sandwich on their menu. Luckily, Mr Sandwich has just that! My go-to is the full chicken salad sandwich on squaw, with cucumber, extra sprouts, onions, lettuce and mayo (no tomatoes and pickles). First of all, squaw is always the best/preferred bread for any chicken salad sandwiches (with the exception of the chicken curry sandwich at C'est Si Bon Bakery in Newport Beach. THAT exquisite gem is absolutely perfect in a baguette!) Anyways, this is still a great tasting sandwich. It's very simple yet has everything I want. It's creamy but not swimming in mayo, it has just the right amount of seasoning and I also spotted some random diced apples in the filling! The crunch and sweetness of the apple definitely offsets the heaviness of the chicken and mayo. Another great thing to point out is that they pack their sandwiches pretty well--you'll be satisfied by the amount. However, the only downside is that it can get a little messy but that's expected in this type of sandwich. Other than that, I'm happy I found this place. Mmmm what a yummy mom-and-pop shop find! The Asian family who seems to own this humble little shop was super sweet and showed a smile the entire visit. The sandwich itself comes on a little tray in plastic wrap, and is a decent size (definitely bulging, but not huge) for what you pay for. I definitely would recommend their lunch special which is a way better deal than the ~$7 I paid for my late-afternoon sandwich; lunch special is $1 more and you get chips and a fountain drink with your sandwich. This place is pretty small when you walk inside. I came around 1pm on a Friday and was able to order right away though. I got the pastrami, cheese, and avocado on SQUAW bread, which came out to about $8. To my disappointment I learned that SQUAW bread is in no way related to Fetty Wap, but still pretty damn delicious. The sandwich was packed with pastrami and avocado. I personally don't remember the cheese too much only because of the huge amount of the other two. The sandwich came out warm and filled my belly and my heart. I got a full sandwich since I wanted to save the other half for later, but I ended up eating the whole thing. This place is located in the plaza on the corner of Jamboree and Barranca. It might be a little hard to find if you've never been in the area. Everything was pretty good, but my only complaint was that the sandwich fell apart as I was eating it. I used the fork to finish eating, so overall it wasn't that big of a problem. IRVINE'S FINEST During my visit here a couple of Irvine Police officers strolled in here for lunch. Police seem to know the best places to eat, no arguing with that. Did you know the police in Irvine carry multiple weapons? Pepper/mace spray, Taser gun, and the good 'ol gun standard issue gun. I doubt Irvine police have a use for that kind of stuff. Yay for fat sandwiches and great service! Seriously, the lady in the front was so friendly! They have a large menu for sandwiches and you can pretty much customize your sandwich. I wanted a turkey avocado with cheddar, which wasnt on the menu, but it was close enough to something else on the menu so they just substituted it. Sandwich was huge and delicious! It took me a whole day to finish it because it was so big, so the 6-7 dollars I paid for it was worth it. Some quick tips: - they put too much mayo so ask them to give you less or none at all -gotta ask for mustard -ask for toasted bread so your bread doesnt get soggy from the lettuce and tomatoes. The Squaw is very good, I prefer it over regular wheat. -Everything is piled high and can get messy so make sure your seated and have a sink nearby to wash up, cant eat this on the go. -theyre located on jamboree and barranca across from the Arby's and close to the McDonalds I'll be back to try something else fo sho. read more

But, my heart always belongs to KWIK PICK! I went here a week ago for the first time and it was exactly what I was looking for! Hearty, fresh ingredients, simple & amazing! I got the turkey, avocado and swiss on a french roll..totally satisfied. they seriously pack on the meat in your sandwich! If you look through the photos, there is the asian guy on the left taking your order and the lady is on the right side of the restaurant. It was exactly the same when I went. I've seen this placed with all the seating inside full, all the seating outside full, and I was still able to get my food in a matter of a minute or so.
