The food is not advertised as shown on the menu! Rice cake was raw on the inside and some were just burnt!! I came here last time and paid extra for sausage and they didn't even give me extra. Disappointed. Terrible customer service, just disappears after giving the food or if someone orders something.

It was before lunchtime and I was the only customer there. I ordered on the front kiosk and about five minutes later the girl took the receipt with my order and proceeded to the back to make it. I got their egg & cheese sandwich. It was simple but good. It was bright, clean and spacious inside. Although this was just a simple breakfast item, I'd come back and try their other items.

Straight mayo The first two bites are good and the rest of the sandwich is just bread and a lot of mayo. Unseasoned and goopy. I would not recommend the sandwiches maybe something else in the menu is worth it.

Shouldve read the reviews before trying, apparently the bread changed, shame id have loved a brioche. Least i can say i tried it now i guess. It was a toss up between this spazzy "new" place with this korean street sandwich vs good ol Le Dip. $7-9 for what looked like a freaking packed sandwich vs plain basic le dip with cut lunch meats thats also in the $8-10 range now. Angus Beef-wich $10.6 after tax. TBpH....nothing wow about. its big cuz of the nice ball of cabbage which i liked the crunch. ground beef patty was very....hmm almost meatloaf texture but barely any flavor?, didnt taste any cheese, the sauce is like sweet, the corn actually makes it weird cuz theres these bursts of well corn amidst an otherwise boring but filling sandwich. The egg also was tasteless, looked like how mcdonalds eggs come out. The bread was super thin, which im fine with, the toasting was visibly there but it had no crisp which is everything for a toasted wich imo. No interaction place. Just order on the kiosk, they call ur name, pick it up. Dont forget to tip the machine. it works very hard to provide you with recommendations and what is what. Theres 2 booth seats which i dont understand? besides the dude that snuck in to charge his phone & laptop but not eat. then a few tables in the open, all dirty. its an option i guess, but honestly everything else that has come to utc, this is too niche. Back when i was an anteater it was Le Dip at like $5 a whole wich and.....trader joes, INO, Jack in the Crack, Taco Hell and a movie theater that seemed always empty. Now theres like a bajillion food spots including this oddity. Filling. Tasteless. Cheaper.

This is the spot I go to when I crave some simple korean street food. I usually get their rose noodles and get extra tteokbokki (so i dont have to pick between the two). It's delicious and satisfies my cravings. However, I do think it's a little pricey for what you get (this comes out to slightly more than $15). Don't blame them though in this economy.

We really enjoyed our lunch here - the inside of the store was pink and fun, and the food was ready quickly (we were the only customers at the time we showed up). The prices were somewhat reasonable, considering that the portions were not huge, but the food was all very yummy. We particularly enjoyed the bulgogi meat, which was tender and flavorful. The sweet sauce on the sandwich was wonderful too - my partner said it reminded him of the syrup on a McGriddle. If we come back, it would probably be to try their drinks, many of which were quite unique and looked amazing!

i am not sure what they are doing as a business or why??? Ever since they have been at this location they have decided to do major changes to their SIGNATURE egg sandwiches. If they keep it original i am sure they would get business, they frequently switch up their entire sandwich how do you expect people to want to come back? When they finally found soemthing unique and what they like only to be change and off them menu never to be seen again. Just odd business strat imo. I loved and even would crave the egg sandwiches but it's not even an option, i don't understand what's going on to keep changing what they sell.

The sandwich changed!! I wasn't anticipating that since I haven't been to flip poly in a while. They no longer serve the brioche style bun, they have regular toast now. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, which was good don't get me wrong, but it wasn't the same. The only thing that makes it different from a sandwich from ex: Anderson's bakery, is the sweet sauce. They added new things to the menu and the tteokboki was delish. I recommend getting that. The portion is a bit small but for $12.90, not bad! The coffee is consistent. I got the dalgona foam and dalgona coffee. I recommend the dalgona foam if you want more concentrated coffee flavor. The 3/5 stars is purely for the food. Although you do order from the kiosk, the server was still very nice so I would say the service is good.

    Sweet Spicy Chicken

The sandwiches are nothing at all like how they used to be. This was how my "Sweet Spicy Chicken" sandwich was given to me- dried bread, the "chicken" that was the quality of heated frozen chicken nuggets with siracha drizzle and lettuce. The presentation was awful because honestly how could anything ever look like this lazy when you're eating out? it appears nothing like all the photos in their menu.

I have been wanting to try Flippoly for awhile now, and though I've been to UTC a few times, I finally got to try it! Came on a Monday around 12pm and there wasn't really anyone inside. It's a small place with a few tables inside and a cute and simple interior. Me and my friend ordered at the counter and the lady who took our order was nice. I got the rose tteobeokki and my friend got the angus beef sandwich. The food came relatively quick. We were called to grab our food through the number system and we got our own utensils next to the counter. For the rose tteokbokki, it came with glass noodles, bacon, sausage, and rice cake of course. As for the spice, the menu does indicate one flame (while the other tteokbokki options were two or more flames), I would say the sauce was just the right amount of spice for me since it was creamy. I might be able to handle the buldak carbonara one but I might need a lot of water for that haha. I really liked the rose tteokbokki, the rice cake was soft and chewy, and though there were only a few strands of glass noodles, I liked the addition since typically tteobeokki items don't add it. The bacon pieces were pretty good as well. The portion size was a bit on the smaller side but for $12 is not bad and I wasn't too full. For the angus beef sandwich, my friend said it tasted fine, but she wasn't that impressed by it. Overall, a great spot for Korean food! I will definitely be coming back, and want to try the other tteokbokki options and maybe the bulgogi sandwich too.

Honestly this place has the best tteokbokki ever. so good I even drive all the way from La just for this location. Staff is nice too, there's plenty of seating, and it's always clean.

I ate at a Flippoly a while ago and loved it, so I was excited to see there was one near where I was working that day. I had the bulgolgi sandwich and was disappointed to realize they changed their bread and sandwich style since I had last been here. The bread slices are thinner and the sandwich isn't as fluffy and juicy. The bulgolgi was dry and didn't have much flavor either. There was barely any cheese. Overall, not worth the mess of eating this and I would only come back if they go back to their old style.

Haha first off, I was so happy when I saw this at utc cuz the other location is on the other side of irvine and then it took months to be finished lol. This is a really unique and relatively affordable spot! They package everything nicely for to go so it's a good spot for lunch. I've tried the flip poly at the other irvine location before and this is my second time ( first time seeing dukbokki though). Korean Street toast- comes with a hint of strawberry jam and slaw. I think originally its supposed to use shredded cabbage so i was a bit sad when I saw slaw lol. I don't know what happened because the eggs kind of fell to the bottom and the top was just straight slaw. The bread itself is really nicely buttered. I might go back to the bacon one I tried the first time if I eat here again. Gotta ask to see if every sandwich comes with slaw because I'm not a fan of it HAHA. Sesame latte- decent, coffee tasting. The sweetness is in the black sesame pudding layered on top so definitely mix it. Buldak carbonara- less carbonara than I expected but for the price point and flavor I think it was great. Had some small pieces of pork belly and even cane with glass noodles. I recommend. The spiciness was like black package of buldak noodles so the glass noodles can be a lot to handle. On another note service was nice and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and spacious the kitchen area was. It's rare for workers to have a spot to sit and chill. The one man operation was working hard!! Also tried the fresh green grape and I recommend it. It was sweet and distinctly tasting of fresh green grapes. You'll definitely need it with the buldak tteokbokki

Bulgogi BBQ did not expect it to look like this and was disappointed. It's missing the egg and corn and was not on a toast.

My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte.
