Pro tip: call in or order online, so you're not waiting for your food and drinks. Everything's so good- I love that they put sprouts in their salads and their balsamic is delicious. Tucked away in a residential area which must be so convenient for residents to simply walk out in their nighties to grab a little something for the morning. The tower 9 sandwich was monster and also quite delicious with the alfalfa sprouts adding such a fresh, herbal, and healthy touch to a sandwich. Loved this sandwich and quite filling so packed the other half and had it later on for snack. Highly recommend. Also tried the Avo Classic salad. Also had alfalfa sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, half an avocado (of course), mozzarella cheese, and tuna for protein. Came with you choice of dressing and they also gave me a house dressing on side to try. Was a generously large salad and good but didn't feel it was much different from others I've tried. Stopped by for a quick sandwich break and had this bookmarked for awhile! It's a small cafe shop, something that gets the job done. The indoor seating isn't really that cozy, but there are a few tables around that's just a place to sit. They have cute ambiance music though! There's more outdoor seating that feels a bit nicer haha. It was about 1pm and I wanted to try the Salmon Toast (since the menu said they only served it until 11am). Luckily the cashier said I was still able to order it! I heard that was a must get from here, so we got that, and my bf ordered a Rodeo. It didn't take too long to for our sandwiches, so service was great! The sandwiches were a bit on the smaller side, so for the price, it didn't really feel that much of a value? But all their ingredients do seem fresh. Taking in the first few bites, one thing I would say is that the salmon is very overpowering. It tasted fishier than it should be, which it made it taste a bit more unpleasant? I do like how they were generous with the pesto. However, I felt like the pesto didn't really complement it that much. The bread itself was pretty alright. I liked how my plate came with two slices of watermelon, which I oddly enjoyed that better than the sandwich lol. As for my bf's Rodeo sandwich, I actually liked his a lot more lol. That one seemed like it went well altogether. However, I was a bit more disappointed with the salmon toast. It was really the salmon fishy smell that threw me off. Came here for breakfast with the family while out in Irvine at my cousin's place. I opted for the loaded grill cheese toast without bacon. It was very very good and tasty. I love that they were willing to accommodate my request for a vegetarian version of the toast and also added spinach and tomatoes to make it quite filling. The avocado was super fresh and the watermelon slices were a nice touch. I washed all of this out with an iced coffee which was the perfect mix. Came across the Avocado Cafe while taking a friend to JWA with time to kill for breakfast being so close to the airport. They probably have one of the best breakfast burritos and I wish they were a little bit closer to my place but definitely worth going out of your way! The Avocado Cafe serves fresh and healthy food including sandwiches, salads, smoothies, juices, and drinks and not to mention a variety of coffees! FYI, their Tuna sandwich (formerly known as the Avocado tuna sandwich) was even voted one of the 9 best avocado dishes in Orange County by OC Weekly. Very expensive for what you end up getting. It looks kind of cute from the outside but there is absolutely no one eating inside so I guess it's more of a to-go kind of place. I got pesto salmon toast which was kind of good but it just looked like they piled a ton of spinach on top and the egg was so messy. Every bite I took had everything falling off the toast. Their toasts are really good and very filling. I like that they use fresh ingredients and food is flavorful. It's healthy-ish and having it for lunch leaves you feeling light and not too full. I have only had their toasts as delivery but it's still packaged very well. My favorite is the toast with chicken, poached egg, avocado, cheese, And arugula. The cheese is a big too heavy for me so I take some off and it could use more arugula but love that they include fresh watermelon slices with your toast. The egg was poached perfectly. Decided to try this place since I work nearby and had some downtime. This place is tucked away in an apartment complex. Came here around 930 AM and there were people going in and out. I decided to try the 405 burrito, and my order came out pretty quick. The lady at the register was very helpful and was giving me suggestions for breakfast. She said her favorite was the southwest chicken toast, but I went with the burrito since it's more filling. The burrito was a solid 4/5. There's definitely places in OC with better burritos but for a small tucked away cafe, it was a solid burrito. The bacon was perfectly crispy, I wished the potatoes had some crisp to it but overall was a great burrito, can't complain. The 2 watermelon slices it came with were also a nice surprise! However, the salsa did not seem like it was made in house and they definitely bought it from the store, which was a little disappointing. Ample seating both inside and out. It's counter service and we placed our order for the salmon toast ($12) and avo toast ($8.75). The salmon toast came on squaw bread and had two poached eggs, cream cheese, spinach and some basil pesto drizzled over it. The avo toast had tomatoes, two poached eggs and sprouts on wheat toast. Both came with slices of juicy sweet watermelon. The food was nothing fancy, but everything was fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Prices are reasonable too! Really nice food! This was a great place for us to stop while moving from Portland to San Diego. There are a few designated parking spots that were available when we came. We both LOVED our food and there was nice shaded seating outside. The bathroom was marked as "out of order." We asked where the nearest bathroom would be and were told that it IS working and that the sign is there just to deter grubhub/doordash workers. I thought this was mean. We should be looking out for all the service workers showing up to work right now. Additionally, the bathroom was not clean.
