Horrible service, the older lady was nice but not the 2 other girl. Waited so long for any type of service and when we asked for to go box they were even cleaning other tables then giving us the boxes, we ended up leaving and not taking it to go still ended up giving 18 percent tips but never again read more

If you like Bahn Mi....this place is incredible. I would give 6 stars if I could. If you don't like them, then you probably don't like flavor. I drove from downtown Houston all the way out here and got it twice in one day because it was just that good. I just randomly found this place and it wasn't even my first choice foe lunch. Then it quickly became my first choice for dinner. On top of that the staff is friendlier than a significant other meeting your very southern parents for the first time. If you've ever gotten upset with anyone here, I promise it was your fault not theirs. I promise. Having a bad experience here is like going to the Sistine Chapel and saying they could've added more art. . . read more

Service wasn't great, pho wasn't bad but the milk tea was really gross . I'm glad that I gave this place a chance. Still on my journey finding a go to pho place in cypress. read more

There are currently 2 overlapping results for Mr. Pho. This one appears to be from an earlier business that has moved to Cypress around mid-April 2019, whereas the other result is for the brand new location - not sure which one of these will prevail. Ambience is modern, simple and nice, befitting its existence in 2019. Food was good, but some items are not present at this time - e.g. tripe and tendon for Pho, and some drink choices. Prices also appear to be slightly higher than average compared to other pho places. Definitely worth a revisit for us - planning to update the review as the place matures. read more

Mr. Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Cypress, Texas

First impression when walking in is the service, how attentive you are. They are slow, empty restaurant and they just walk around. 2 employees working the floor and just wondering around looking at the walls instead of checking on the customers. One person ask what we wanted to drink to having another one ask for drinks again. Why would you ask for drinks then sit down? No communication whatsoever. Food is mediocre. The pork had hair on it, not human hair but pork hair, honestly that's nasty. I won't recommend this place. read more

When you first hear Mr. Pho, you might think - probably not a legitimate, traditional pho place. Don't think that here! Walking in, the owner/ manager greeted my husband and I so kindly and asked us if it was our first time. We said yes and we were told how they brew their bone broth for 12 hours and never use msg. The price is good! 8.95 for a large bowl! I got a pho with skirt flank. The flavor was so good and better than any pho I'd had before. I could taste the simple ingredients. If you're in the bellaire area- do come visit! You won't be disappointed read more

I tried this spot which is very near pluckers. They have the typical dishes you'd find at pho restaurants. They used to have really good fried chicken, but took it off the menu a while back. I've ordered the Bo luc lac and soups here, and it's actually pretty good. A fried egg comes with the steak dish and is placed on top of your steamed rice. They give you plenty of grilled onions too...yummy. The soups are good too, both broth and meats. Service is friendly, and the place is never super busy when I come...thankfully. read more

Its nice and quiet, ample seating, clean bathrooms. Customer service was awesome, very friendly and not overbearing, took theor time to be sure our orders were good. Food was amazing, got a p6 and a grilled chicken bahn mi. Pho was great, broth was flavorful, a bit heavier than im used to but def hit the spot. The bahn mi was great chicken was cooked perfectly very moist. My only regret is not trying one of their specials or snagging a spring roll order to go. Over all 10/10 definitely coming back again. read more

Food is good but the service is awful. Both servers that were there were extremely rude and annoyed throughout our service. We were extremely nice but after waiting almost 10 minutes for a cup of water when the place wasnt bust was extremely crazy. Once again food is great but dont expect good servic. read more

The broth base was full of flavor. I didn't need to add anything to it. Service was fast.

This is the worst place I ever eaten in my life. I ordered bun thit nguong cha gio and my pork smelled so bad. I couldn't eat my meal and told the girls out front that your pork is spoiled and it smelled. I gave them $20 dollars to get the hell out of there. I ordered ice tea and it was supposed to be grilled pork with egg roll noodles but I can tell the meat is not grilled but stir fried. I was super hungry because I did not eat lunch. If this is the meat they put in their banh mi and other dishes then that is grossed. Those girls told me to come back and I was like no thank you and I paid them the full amount and left. At least the ice tea was good and not spoiled. I am never going back here again..terrible Vietnamese place in cypress read more

Great food, quick and amazing service. This is our go to spot instead of fast food (but just as fast)!

Pho here is pretty good a little on the sweeter side. But the small portion is honestly perfect for myself. It's a pretty small bowl tho. Great for hangovers lol read more

The broth was too sweet, I ordered my beef on a side plate - 4 small pieces- AND when I went to pay for my $9.50 menu advertised small bowl of Pho he charged me $11.50 citing 10% increase, referencing a small handwritten sign. Don't waste you time on so so pho, especially at this price read more

The pho is excellent and I also love the shaking beef. Service is great as well. Love this place!!

We normally drive all the way to Bellaire (SW Houston) to get authentic Vietnamese food on the weekends, but tonight we didn't feel like driving that far, so we tried our Mr. Pho. We ordered spring rolls, Vietnamese grilled pork w/ rice, and pho (eye of round & meatball). The spring roll's rice paper was the perfect texture, not too chewy and it didn't fall apart. There was a ton of meat in it, too. It could have served as a meal on it's own. The grilled pork was delicious as it had a hint of cinnamon The fried egg on top of the aromatic rice was a nice touch! The pho broth was amazing. The flavors & spices were robust and you can tell that the broth simmered and cooked for a long time. There was plenty of meat and tons of fresh veggies served on each entree. The place was spotless and clean and we go to meet the owner who was very friendly and attentive. I was glad to see a bunch of people getting food to go (due to Covid-19). We are going to save a ton of miles driving and toll charges by dining locally at Mr. Pho's. Do appetite a favor and have some authentic Vietnamese food soon! read more

very rude they laughed when i was told them I didn't receive my order for food ordered online and proceeded to say they can't help me.

Ate here for the first time today as take out. OMG it hit the spot! The beef pho was delicious!!! I got the beef round and the broth was soooooo good!! Great portions....My daughter liked the chicken pho and my husband ordered the grilled chicken and rice which he ate ALL! Also the pork grilled spring rolls were great! We didn't get the peanut sauce tho, not sure if it didn't come with it but we will def ask for it next time. We will be back!! read more

Did not like the service there, if you call that a service. We walked in today and things started to go south. After short period of waiting, I told the lady " a table for two". She did not say anything about where we can sit and just went to the back. We followed her and then realized it was the kitchen. Then she pointed at a table for us. We went to the table and there was still somebody's leftover. Then we had to wait and watch her cleaning the table. After that she pushed the chair closer to the table. I asked if we were meant to sit here or the other place. If you push the chair inward, does it mean this table is not ready for use. We did not get any explanation at all. We decided not dining there after all these. We will not come back. read more

Always such good service and the best pho in cypress. The staff is so friendly and always quick to get you your order!

I love having a tasty Vietnamese neighborhood restaurant to go to. Being Vietnamese, I can be pretty picky but Mr. Pho has great food and great prices. I particularly like the rice with "bo luc lac" (shaking beef) - the beef is moist and tender. Super tasty. We also just tried the new beef meatball sandwich which was super tasty! It's got a unique herbal/sweet Vietnamese flavor which is delicious and fun. Definitely give Mr. Pho a shot to get your Vietnamese food fix! read more

Food was good for the price. we met Mr. Pho and he was very nice. I ordered the Pho Dat Biet which was middle of the road.. not the best pho I've had but not the worse. This will be my first trip to this Pho place, the first appearance was very neat and clean. The service is O.K. but she needs a bit more training. maybe she is new, the Boss man seem to be very friendly and seem to have a lots of return customer. Now the food, we ordered an order of spring roll, it was alright the peanut sauce was good. The Pho was good, the bun bo wai kind of salty according to my wife. My Son ordered a plate of Korean bbq rice plate he said it was pretty good, up the server didn't bring any knife for him to use so it was kind of hard to eat with chop sticks. (That is the reason I mention the server needs more training.) We also order a Vietnamese iced coffee and green tea. it was alright. But over all the food, price, and the location is not bad and we return for more different dishes read more

Pay attention to review dates! This is for the NEW Mr. Pho in Cypress that JUST opened 4/13/19... Finally!!!! Thank you for awesome and flavorful Pho! No MSG, No bullion, only amazing rich bone broth that's been cooked for a bazillion hours and then poured into my bowl. Our family agreed the fried rice was outstanding and also full of flavor without being overly salty. The spring rolls had nice sized shrimp, no corners cut there.... we will be regulars. read more

Came in today and we're excited to eat here again. Seemed like they were short on staff and constantly catering to to-go orders and not the people in the restaurant. Have never been here before but eat pho about once a month so have tried lots of restaurants. The place wasn't busy at all but it was 4pm so that makes sense. We ordered the 2 combos. I had the banh mi pork with a spring roll and soda and my daughter had the shrimp pho with a spring roll and soda. I thought my daughter's pho was just whatever. Nothing special. My bahn mi bread was delicious but it had a ton of fatty pork I had to pull out and it had almost no veggies. If it was just the food I'd give this place 3 stars, but both girls working here were weird and rude. I'd say thank you every time they brought out something and they wouldn't reply at all. One of the girls walked up chewing her nail and didn't even remove it from her mouth lol. She just silently walked up, dropped the food off, and then silently walked away. So long story short there's a million places better than this one. I'd go there. Really weird read more

Mr. Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Cypress, Texas

Wanted to try this location as it had great yelp reviews and the food in the reviews looked delicious. Went in and right off the bat the location was freezing. It was like they did have any type of heater on. That did not really bother me much as I had a sweater and jacket on but I could see this being very uncomfortable for some. I ordered the Chicken vermicelli as it's one of my favorite dishes. The dish came out a looked great. I took one bite and the chicken tasted off. So I asked my husband to taste it just to see if I was just having a weird taste in my mouth or if it was the chicken. He tasted it and said no your tastes is not off, the chicken is bad. Me being the person I am I hate sending any type of food back because I know the hassle it takes but on the other hand the chicken was bad and if I ate it I would have gotten extremely sick. So, we called the waiter over to let him know that the chicken tasted off and was bad and he was not at all happy with the situation based on his body language and facial expressions but he asked me anyways if I would like something else. I nicely said yes, please the beef sandwich that you guys make with no jalapeños. He walked away while speaking his language very loudly to the other staff members in the kitchen. I felt bad having to order another dish as I don't like to be wasteful but I don't want to get sick either. I also hate putting more work on someone if not necessary. So, the sandwich arrives and it looks great. I take one bite and low and behold what happens.... There is a hair in my sandwich! Just when I thought I was going ti have a good meal. That's right a hair and not a tiny one at that. I showed it ti my husband and asked him what it looked like and he said gross that's a hair! When we proceeded to tell the waiter about the hair and how we just wanted to pay for my husbands food and leave he then started yelling to his coworkers in another language in the back of the restaurant. My husband took the waiter over to show him the hair as he did not believe either of us and another female worker came over and said no that's not our hair our hair is black and That is lemon grass! We don't have blonde hair so it's not ours. Mind you the waiter did not have blonde hair, he had black but the other lady that insisted that it was not their hair that I was speaking to did have blonde highlights in her hair. I couldn't help but wonder did they do something to my sandwich because they were mad about the chicken that I sent back. I hate thinking this way but unfortunately it happens. Anyways, the hair was there and blonde and it most definitely was not mine as I have natural red hair like carrot top for reference. The staff was completely rude when we showed them the hair and when we asked to not pay for my sandwich that I took a tiny bite out of. They kept insisting that it was lemon grass and calling my husband and myself stupid for not knowing that it was lemon grass. We have ate at many different Pho restaurants and never had we had this problem with lemon grass dishes. I have ordered lemon grass many times and have never had anything that remotely resembles hair in it ever from the other restaurants. The staff was extremely rude to us and did not want to take the sandwich off our meal. Now I could see if I ate half the food and then claimed there was a hair in it but I took one tiny bite and there was a hair and the entire rest of the sandwich was left. Not like I was trying to get a free meal. I was just showing them what had happened and somehow we were the stupid ones. I'm pretty sure if I took that hair to my lab and tested it that it would have been human hair and not lemon grass as so insisted by the staff. I really was trying to have a great experience like all the others that left great yelp reviews but unfortunately I was not so lucky. Maybe the restaurant had a bad day but it does not excuse the fact that I was served bad chicken and hair! If you go here check your food as I would not want anyone to get food poisoning from the food they serve or ingest hair that belongs to who knows. We did pay for our food and even left a 20% tip as it is that time of year but we will never eat here again and would not recommend it to anyone else either. read more

Came in around 4pm for a late lunch and ordered Banh Mi. This was during the soft opening period. I ordered the cold cut sandwich which was listed for $4.75 but I was charged $5.68 total. I did some reverse math while waiting for my banh mi being prepared and figured that they charged me the price of the $5.25 sandwich+tax (-1 star for overcharging). Subtracting another star for finding an old lady sleeping behind the cash register. Nothing against old people but I was taken by surprise because she blended in and I didn't see her until she moved which startled me. She had her shoes off, bare feet and all which just doesn't look sanitary. Isn't there a back room for naps? What happened to the old No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service... Minus another star for my banh mi with stale bread. It tasted like a 3-day old baguette--which I know what that tastes like since I used to buy 4-5 of them at a time to cover my meals during my college days. Meat and condiments were "meh" but nothing to rave about. I like my meat thinly sliced and the pork ham was cut pretty thick but that's just my preference (not subtracting another star for that). read more

Pho Broth was rich and flavorful. Portion size for the noodles and meat were perfect especially with the pho condiments. Price was right on point with other pho restaurants. Sooo glad I stumbled upon this place. From customer service to the quality of the food.. just WOW! First impressions are everything because you can't redo that, so with that being said-- restaurant was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Not too much going on yet it's still modern and clean. You can definitely smell the aroma of the pho when you walk in which is always a GOOD thing! The menu is pretty straight forward, of course their specialty is pho but they also have bun bo que & com tam. I ordered pho tai bo vien & cafe sua da. The pho was so flavorful! Even before putting your seasonings inside.. I asked for satay (chili oil) to put in my pho & I think that's one of my smartest moves, ever! Y'all, I'm not even kidding the satay is PACKED WITH SOOOOO MUCH FLAVORS! And get this, it's not even oily, the blend is PERFECT. Adding that into the pho brought out soooo much flavor, I know my tastes buds were going crazy they were very generous with the meat and veggies, which is ALWAYS a plus!! The cafe sua da was perfect to me, not too sweet, not too strong, it was just right! The service was quick and friendly. Kenny, one of the owner was wonderful! He explained everything and I even told him that he should start selling the satay because it was THAT GOOD! He left a really good impression for the restaurant itself. I will def recommend this to everyone around! Food and customer service is A+ Oh btw-- they are health conscious!! NO MSG IN THE PHO!! That means no falling asleep afterwards haha read more
