This is the best to-go pho I've ever had. I DoorDashed it, and it came fresh, hot, and everything was packaged separately beautifully. It even came with a Sriracha and hoisin packet. But my favorite part was that it included chopsticks and one of those big spoons. My friend and I ordered the following: Pho Combo Lunch Special Cafe Sua Da Chao Tuy Bo (Beef Marrow Porridge) The Beef Marrow Porridge is a must get. I don't think I've seen many Vietnamese restaurants sell this dish but it has me hooked. The bone marrow/meat is fatty (melts in your mouth), savory, and rich. And with the onions, cilantro, and pepper on top- chef's kiss! I wish I had asked for some chili oil from the waiter but honestly, the dish by itself is already fantastic. Chao Tuy Bo is very nutritious and gentle on the stomach- such a comforting dish! As for the pho, this wasn't anything special in my opinion but the egg rolls that came with it were hot, crispy, and fresh! Lastly, the cafe sua da is always a nice sweet treat/beverage. I've visited this spot on Jones Road more than ten times last year--it's in the same parking lot as the Twistee Treat cone-shaped building, and it's the convenient midpoint for my family gatherings. That said, a few recurring issues stand out. There's almost always a young boy sitting right in front of the restrooms with his feet up on a dining table, loudly playing on his phone or iPad. It's consistently off-putting from a hygiene perspective--those are tables where customers eat. Service is generally indifferent: no one checks in after dropping off the food, and any requests are met with mild attitude. Staff also frequently prop the door wide open while handing off delivery orders, letting in the heat, cold, or rain without a second thought. The food is okay at best. My go-to Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò this time tasted like it had been sitting out--not fresh, just meh. Convenience keeps bringing my family back, but I can't really recommend it. There are cleaner, friendlier Vietnamese spots nearby that deliver much better. read more

The spring rolls are fantastic and warm and plenty of sauce. The veggies for your pho are always fresh, washed, and plenty to add to your pho. They never forget utensils or sauces. My dad was craving pho so we decided to try a new place and landed at MT Tien Trung! It's a Sunday night, the place is small, pretty quiet with several to-go orders. It's tucked away in a small plaza behind Twisty Treats on Jones Rd. There was only one family dining when we walked in and no one was at the counter, so we helped ourselves to some menus and sat down...finally a lady came to grab our order. Be prepared to wait quite awhile for your food...we waited awhile and they were not busy at all inside the restaurant, just alot of to-go orders... We ordered Soda Chanh, 2x orders of egg rolls (2pc each), 3x Pho Tai, and 2x grilled pork rice plates. The restaurant was very clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating and I really appreciated that the waters were filtered and each water had thinly sliced lime in it. The plates were all good quality, and the ingredients were super fresh and clean. No withered lettuce, or soggy tomatoes or cucumbers. The eggrolls were deliciously crispy and a good size, not too big or bulky. The pho broth was good but a bit oily/greasy and the grilled pork rice plate was not really grilled but rather stir fried so I was slightly disappointed for not getting the grilled taste... This place is delicious & affordable! Friday night I came and enjoyed their P1 Special! I got the Thai Tea & Beef Pho, in the restaurant the P1 is a dollar cheaper. The Thai tea is incredibly rich & flavorful, the pho had an amazing flavor! Although the only thing I didn't care for was the beef tendon (but it does add flavor) . I enjoyed it so much I came back Saturday night! Sadly I don't think I'll be coming to Houston any time soon! Definitely worth a shot if you're in town. read more

The restaurant itself is a bit hard to find, tucked into the back corner of the shopping center with Twistee Treat and Catch of the Day. The shopping center may look a bit run-down, but please don't let that deter you from this hole-in-the-wall gem! The food is delicious and packed full of fresh wholesome ingredients. I had the shaking beef rice plate (Com Bo Luc Lac), which was very good with a generous portion of meat. The unexpected favorite so far, however, is the Bone Marrow Rice Soup (Chao Tuy Bo). The flavor is savory and intense, and the broth is super fatty, gelatinous, and delicious. There are tons of chunks of meaty, fatty marrow bits. Easily in the Top 3 best pho restaurants in Houston. I love the bowl they use as it keeps the broth warm much longer than typical plastic bowls. The bone marrow chao was good too, just know it could be considered spicy for those who eat mild. Restaurant was clean and service is quick. I don't quite remember the name of the dish my sister had, but it was beef with rice, and that too was super yummy, had my mouth watering for another bite. This restaurant just opened up and i decided why not give it a try. Ordered the pho special MT and a pho tai bo vien to go. This is the first restaurant where they cooked the beef slices in the broth for you which was odd. However, once i got home and heated up the soup and setup my bowl, the broth was very tasteful, i wouldn't say it's the best I've had, but not bad at all.
