Once upon entering, I was greeted and motioned to sit wherever I liked to dine. The person that assisted with my food order was shy but polite. I ordered the goi cuon thit nuong and large pho dac biet as my meal. The springs were pretty hefty on lettuce, noodles and grilled pork and were tasty with the peanut sauce too. The order came with two so I was only able to eat one due to the size of them. The pho dac biet came and I noticed the pho broth was not as deep in color as I expected. It still tasted great, and I enjoyed the amount of meats given as well. The restaurant was a bit warm to temperature and I noticed the fan by me was not on unfortunately (note to customers that want to sit in the very left corner by the windows). read more

Neighborhood suburbia pho spot that's slightly overpriced but had decent quality food - until recently! Service and food quality have gone down and they are not as consistent as they used to be in terms of quality, freshness and flavor of food! The staff were not attentive to us at all and did not make sure we had everything we needed at our table. I recall having to get up once to get their attention. The table and chair we chose to sit at was slightly dirty - old food left on the chair prob when the bussers were wiping down the table and it just fell onto the chair...but still it's gross! And then we found a spider too... I know with the economy, things are tough out there for the F&B peeps, but that's all the more reason to really pay more attention to your patrons! read more

We came here for lunch so my husband could have some pho. I forgot to take a photo of his meal but he had the F1. Pho Dac Biet. He enjoyed it. I was happy to see they served Vietnamese sandwiches so I ordered the S4. Banh Mi Ga Nuong and accidentally ordered the fried egg with it. The staff member apologized for not understanding me. I enjoyed the sandwich. read more

Recently came back after a while. I think this restaurant changed owner because Food was not good. We ordered Pho dac biet and bun cha Ha Noi. Both dishes were disappointed. The noodle in the Pho now is big strands not thin one that I always have at other Pho restaurants. Also noodle was not fresh, it was dried package noodle that they boiled. It smells nothing like freshly made noodles that other Pho restaurants use. I do not like this kind of noodle in Pho. The meat portion in Pho was just a few pieces. The meatballs were cut into 4 small pieces which was a no no. Bun cha Ha Noi was worser than the last time I had it here. The meat balls in bun cha ha noi has no flavor and were so dry eventhough they sat in nuoc mam. Portion of meat and noodle was very small. Both Pho dac biet and bun cha ha noi were 2 stars for taste. Will not come back!!! read more

My normal pho place is closed on Sunday and I was craving it since I was a bit under the weather. The reviews seemed good so I thought I would try them out, but they were not as good as my typical spot. The place is bigger than it looks in the outside and the staff were ok. As I made a to go order I cannot say how service is in house. Food: The appearance of the food was exciting because everything was packaged separately, but finally eating changed things. First the pho noodles were flat noodles and not the typical noodle found in pho which I thought was taking away the experience of the pho. The lean beef had ginger in the bag but it worked nicely. The broth was light but had nice flavor. The egg rolls were overly fried and I could taste the grease plus the dipping sauce was thin and had a weird carrot slice in it so I did not try. As far as the ban mi the meat was flavored perfectly and the best part of my order. If I did return I would not order the pho but I would try some other things off the menu. read more

Both times I've eaten here I was disappointed with the broth and the vegetables. They gave me old bean sprouts that looked very unappealing, and the broth had a funky taste to it. I will not be returning. read more

I've been to Pho Nguyen several times, and my only real complaint is that it seems the quality of the pho broth is not consistent. The first couple of times I tried it, I thought it was literally the best pho I've ever had. After that, it has never been quite as good as the first time. It's like the proportions of spices are not the same each time for some reason. That being said, it is still quite good, and worth trying! The restaurant is clean, and they serve a carafe of pH adjusted water (Kangen Water, if I'm not mistaken) with stainless steel cups when you sit down. The service is pretty good, though we have had items ordered and charged, but never delivered on two occasions I can remember. There was never any issue having them removed from the bill. I think the staff just gets a bit overwhelmed at times - this place seems to do a lot of business. It's always been at least half full every time I've been there. As side note, I noticed that the restaurant has a You Tube channel silver Creator Award on the wall, signifying 100K subscribers. The channel is named "Thanh Long Tieng", but the only channel by that name I can find has nothing to do with food, so I'm not sure of the significance of that or how it's related to the restaurant. I'll have to ask next time! read more

Great portions. Love their spring rolls and milk tea. Great service. Clean place. Authentic.

Such an amazing experience! My first time here with my boyfriend we had the chicken fried dumplings as an appetizer. These were crispy, juicy and all the right flavors! For our mains I got the grilled pork chop rice platter and he got the grilled chicken rice platter. We both got an egg on top and everything was delicious. The pork chop was so flavorful and reminded me of my mom's cooking. Service was incredible as well! Definitely a hidden gem , come check them out!! read more

Woweeee. This might be the best pho I have ever had!! Who knew it'd be in Houston, TEXAS?! My friend (who is from Vietnam) told me to try this pho joint, so naturally I got the $14.50 XL bowl of F1 pho dac biet. There was a ginger taste, which I haven't experienced with pho in Los Angeles. The noodles are also thicker (and cooked softer) than what I'm used to in LA. The bun cha ha noi $13.50 was also delicious. I saw a lot of older Vietnamese grandmas eating this around me. It came with two servings: one bowl of grilled meat in fish sauce and one plate with vermicelli and herbs. They served a small side of garlic and spice that added so much flavor to the dish. I had to ask for more, and they happily obliged! The egg rolls were also pretty good! This restaurant is a ways out of the Bellaire area, so I can see how that can deter fans from frequently more regularly. There's a good sized parking lot though, so that was nice. Restroom was in the back, but it was quite dirty. They also ran out of soap.. read more

Bad customer service, we were a table of 4 people and called 4 bun cha ha noi, which is a food that takes a lot of space so we asked for a 6 people table. The worker wanted to charge us extra because it was "dinner time". The past times we've came here (2-3 times), everything was alright, no one made a big deal. Plus the water pot was dirty, we asked to change it and the waiter said that all of them are dirty because they cleaned it and put it in the fridge so there are water fogs. THIS IS WRONG. ITS NOT THE TRUTH. I WORKED AT 2 VIETNAMESE RESTAURANTS AND THIS HAS NOT HAPPEN. read more

It's 2022 and this place still has amazing food! They have been so consistent, which I love. Their portions are still huge at a reasonable price. The meat is always flavorful and NOT fatty! I love that. I also want to compliment how they package the to-go orders. They use large and sturdy containers AND still give you lots of meat. Sometimes I worry about ordering to-go because of container size so thinking I would get less bang for my buck. However, it is not the case here at Pho Nguyen. The packaging is so esthetically pleasing and neat! The only negative comment I have would be that the restaurant smells like cigarettes nowadays, so we don't eat in anymore, and resorted to just taking to-go. read more

It's been a long time since I've had such delicious and authentic Hanoi-style Bún Chả. The grilled meat was tender, and there was plenty of fresh herbs and noodles to go with it. My first time not being excited to eat pho... This place has a musty odor, I ignored it and ordered a eye-round steak pho. The broth had an odd taste, almost like they had a cleaner near the stove while cooking; the eye-round steak looked mangled, like cut into thin strips and shredded, and they just tangled together. The meat did not have a fresh flavor, and was tough to chew. My boyfriend ordered the brisket pho and his tasted a little better. Service was not very friendly, it was okay. read more

FYI, we always go out to eat in the afternoon to avoid the crowds wherever we go eat. So, this was around 3:30 afternoon, we're the only ones here, but there's a few people picking up take out. The food was ready in less than 10 min and hot. Although it cools quickly due to the AC. My wife said that the Bun cha Ha Noi is the best she's had outside of Vietnam. The bun thit nuong Sai Gon was just the right amount for me too. And good flavor, we need hotter chili though. Anyway a good place tucked alongside the Hwy 6 overpass. read more

This cozy phở restaurant is known for their bún chả hà nội, and I wanted to try something different and venture out to other food options. They also have a small boba menu, and I tried the strawberry lemonade w/ rainbow jelly that came w/ it. It's like typical lemonade, but a bit sourer. Bún chả is a good, different experience if you are a fan of bún thịt nướng, and it's worth the try! For their phở, there are times where the broth tastes good or bland, and they also use slightly thicker noodles, like most phở over in Vietnam. So far, this is the only Vietnamese restaurant I know in Cyfair that serves bún chả. I would recommend if you don't want to drive down to Bellaire to get Vietnamese food, and there's plenty of Asian restaurants to eat at nearby. read more

O.K. I have wanted to try this place for a long time since I pass by the restaurant all the time. So I finally had a chance to jump in for a quick lunch. The place when you first walked in, it doesn't look like much, but very clean. The staff great you right away and you seat yourself. This place is not very big but it can hold about 40ppl. The menu was very simple and with not much clutter of items.. They have just enough to feed your Vietnamese crave for pho and other rice dishes. The spring roll "the white wrapper kind". was very fast to serve and for me it tasted pretty good. The sauce is a bit lacking but will do for a pinch. We order Pho for our lunch, and the soup was very tasty, and the meat was very tender. The server was not much after the order was serve and kind of disappear. But we are here for the food and see how it taste and we did just that.. As for I will return or not, that is a maybe. Since other Pho places offer a bit more and the variety of menu items are better and the price is a but better than this place. But for a pinch and easy to get In and out, I would try it again. But if I have other choices close by, I would go to the other instead. But do go and give it a try and see for yourself. Let me warn you the Music is a bit loud but it can be enjoyable, but hard for conversations. read more

After trying many pho place around Houston, I think this is just my favourite. The portion is plenty. I usually order a special pho size XL to go and that would last me 2 meals. It's a good saving. The broth is tasty, the meat is good quality and the noodles are fresh and prepared just right. Also, this is the only pho place that packages your food with care. No other places do this at all. It helps to keep the meat/veggies fresh and also helps to prevent the broth from spilling. I appreciate this so much! read more

The food was great. It's a cute little place with good food for sure. I like that the food portions where really good for the price they charge. I Lille how sweet and attentive the young guy was towards us. The only thing I did not like is how they charge you for take out and BEWARE they add the tip already to your bill and tax the total of that. I don't mind any of this, it just would be nice to know. Because when I was going to pay I was a bit confused why the bill came way higher then expected. read more

I am on a mission to try all the pho restaurants in Houston! This place was lovely. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for pho during his lunch break and there were 3 pho restaurants in the area all of them near us. We saw the photos on Yelp and they looked delicious. I love love love the fact that they have 3 different sizes for the pho. My boyfriend got the XL and I got the L. We had quite a large appetite. The servers here were friendly and we were seated right away. It seemed a little slow when we came in so the service was fast and our food was hot and fresh. The vegetables were crispy and cold and the banh mi was delicious!!!!! I recommend sharing it as an appetizer lol. The broth was light and refreshing and I ate the entire thing and didn't feel grossly full. This place is perfect for a quiet intimate lunch. We will definitely come back if in the area. read more

The food was not good at all... The broth tasted like dirty basil water, seriously I've never been so disappointed... I got the shrimp spring rolls too and I could barely taste anything because they drowned the whole thing in basil!!! The water came in a caraf with a metal cup and no ice.. Even the decor was sub par and pretty much the whole crew sat there and ate all while giving crap customer service. Delicious, delicious pho. I haven't had pho elsewhere since I first tried it earlier this year, and I've been back many times since. They serve Hanoi style pho, which is more savory and the noodles are flatter and wider than typical pho noodles. I love the aroma of ginger in the broth, and they do not skimp on the meat. Staff is friendly and attentive, service has always been prompt in all of my experiences there. This is hands down my favorite pho spot. I introduced this place to my parents and they drive from across town (Sugarland area) just to get pho here. read more

We've come here three times now, and the food is great every time! We get beef pho and pork bánh mì. I also get a fried egg with my pho, which is delicious. They put so much meat in their pho that it fills you right up. One of the best things about their pho broth is they put fresh ginger. The employees are attentive, helpful, and kind. The only downside is the flies when you eat inside. The closer you sit to the door/windows, the worse the flies are. Last time we asked to move spots because of the flies and they accommodated and helped us move everything. Overall, we really like coming here, even though there are pesky flies. read more

Very cozy restaurant, modern atmosphere and good staff. You walk in and need to wait to be seated, my order was taken promptly and I did receive my soup prior to my appetizer, which I have realized is normal in a Vietnamese restaurant. They offer appetizers such as spring rolls, dumplings, and eggrolls. For entrees they don't only serve pho, but fried rice, vermicelli, and bahn mis as well. For their bowl sizes, they have small, large, and extra large. I ordered the chicken pho, large, and it tasted like it had a lot of flavor. They put plenty of white meat and noodles which is highly appreciated, the large was enough to fill me up for only $8. I also ordered their Vietnamese eggrolls, there is only two and I believe the cost was $3.50, a bit over priced if you ask me, and they didn't seem to have much seasoning, however I do love the fact that everything came out fresh and hot. Their iced coffee is okay, it's not overly sweet, and you can still taste the actual coffee, but to me it seemed like it was a very thick consistency, I'm sure it's due to the condensed milk, but at other Vietnamese restaurants I haven't experienced that before. read more
