Quite delicious chicken if I may say. For my standards from having great fried chicken in Los Angeles's Korea town or even in the 626 area. The batter here lacks just a tad bit in crunch; I don't know if it's twice fried but I would say it would be that much better if it was. When we ordered we got the regular fried chicken and Mr. Lee combination chicken for entrees and for sides we had the ddukbokki, kimchi fried rice, and garlic fries. I'll start with the chicken - overall like I mentioned it's not as crispy as I'd like but still crunchy compared to like a KFC or Popeyes, their coating was interesting on the regular fried chicken as it had different formation and texture compared to the Mr. Lees combination. Flavor overall on both were great, salty, savory, and sweet for Mr. Lees(tad bit spicy as well but not too much). The ddukbokki was the most lacking and next would the garlic French fries. The sauce on ddukbokki was tasting of tomato base but lacking in spice. The garlic fries were also lacking in garlic flavor. Even with my suggestion, I still recommend everyone to try here regardless of my idea and try their dishes. read more

We were greeted with a broad smile as soon as we walked up to the register. While trying to figure out what we wanted to order, the host was very willing to answer any of our questions and was knowledgeable about the menu items. We decided to order the boneless chicken bites with spicy and honey garlic sauce and a bi bim bap rice bowl. Our food was delicious! The chicken bites were fried and crispy without being oily. They were evenly coated in sauce without the sauce being overpowering or "too saucy" (I don't like it when things are drenched in sauce). Definitely THE place to come for tasty chicken. The restaurant has pool tables, a bar, several screens with various sports/stations, and plays upbeat music. They also have an extensive selection of soju. I definitely see this place being busy on a Friday or Saturday night. I would totally recommend checking this place out and will be back again. read more

Was craving Korean fried chicken while passing through the area. Never experienced a combination Korean restaurant and billiard hall combo before but it seemed to work as the place was relatively busy. Service was prompt and staff were courteous. Tried garlic noodles and 2 different types of chicken flavors. It took a pretty decent amount of time to get the order. Once it arrived we were charged and delivered something we didn't order In addition yo what we DID order. . As I tried to explain we didn't order it, the girl just walked away mid sentence. So that wasn't resolved and we paid for it. All the chicken plates looked identical. . Just a different glaze of whatever you order. The chicken was not cooked thoroughly. It was chewy and partially raw. I tried the next order, same exact thing. Not edible. The flavor was minimal for garlic chicken and tasted like honey. The garlic ramen is quite literally the top ramen you get for a $1 at the store but a smaller serving with some garlic seasoning sprinkled on it. . But you will be paying a hefty price tag for it. The corn was ice cold. There was not one redeeming quality about our food, the service, the Location or anything. The interior was nicely maintained but the bathrooms are disgusting. Ive been on a lifelong quest to find the best chicken wings in the world. Ive tried then everywhere at dozens of places from San Francisco to Shanghai to Colombia so I know when they are properly made. People will say San Tung makes good wings in SF, they do, but this place has crispier wings with better sauce. These guys make good stuff! Not the best Ive ever had, but certainly up there. The service is good too. The only complaint I have is that they charge you extra for the sauces. read more

Love the chicken sandwich here. Sides are good, out of most of the fries I prefer their garlic fries. Their pajeon has a good amount of kick, not too spicy. There was oy one other couple there, it was almost 2pm, so we missed the lunch hour tush. Still this being order made by order, it was a bit dhow, but you have to expect this. Price was reasonable. What a fantastic spot. This is my favorite K-fc spot in the Bay Area, yes, more than Vons and more than even Bonchon. The sides are very good too. I recommend the Dduppoki (hope I spelled that right) and corn cheese. But the headline here is the chicken. You'd have to wait for them to prepare it, but you'll get it very hot, crispy, crunchy and flavorful. The Mr. Lee style is a recommend, but the soy glaze is good too. I'm not a fan of the restaurant itself. Not very cozy with the fluorescent lights and it has a hint of old Lysol smell when you walk in. It's tough to make an old Burger King look like anything other than a fast food joint. Especially one that is so big. But I'm not here to talk about the appearance of the place (which was very clean inside and had a woman cleaning with no customers inside). A guy who seemed like the owner took my order and he was very polite and welcoming. I ordered eight thighs and kimchee fried rice to go. He asked what sauce I wanted and I got half Yangnyum and half with no sauce. The food smelled so good on the way home I was so tempted to pull over and chow down, but waited the 10 minute drive. The thighs were crunchy and moist with a really good flavor in the breading. I tried the plain one first then the sauced one and both were amazing. The kimchi fried rice was very tasty, but I was expecting something a little less sticky and moist. Sometimes expectations are a bad thing cause this rice was really good! Eight thighs were $22.99 and kimchi fried rice was $8.99. They offered all kinds of chicken and sauces, but I'd get the same thing next time. I can only imagine how much better the chicken would have been if we ate it at the restaurant or in the car. I've tried other Korean fried chicken in the area and San Jose and Mr. Lee's can go toe to toe with any of them. Even knock some of them out. read more

Food here is always very good. We usually get the Mr. Lee sauce which is a combination flavor. Their fries are also really delicious. The interior of this place is massive and it's never fully but they have TVs tuned to sports and two pool tables. I'd recommend the food but I usually do takeout. read more

One of the best Korean fried chicken places I've ever had! Would definitely pick this over the other chain places like Bonchon or Vons. It has way more flavors to pick from and has generous portions.
