The place was cute, laid-back, and had the kind of vibe where you could show up in jeans and still feel like you belong--even while pretending you're fancy because you're sipping bubbly and slurping oysters. We ordered a dozen oysters (because six just felt like a snack and we came here to commit), and they were fresh, briny, and basically ocean-kissed perfection. The only complaint? The oysters ranged from "fun-sized" to "could ride this into battle." A little consistency would've been nice, but hey, variety is the spice of shellfish. They also served up a homemade Tabasco sauce that had just enough kick to wake up your taste buds without burning off your eyebrows. Bonus points for that. Got off the cruise ship and headed to the famous pike street to chill and eat before our hotel check in. Chose Mr. Fish based on distance from the (fun) chaos that is Pike st. and the menu. I needed seafood for my husband and non seafood for myself. This place was the perfect spot. Our server Chainey , (sp) was fantastic. She answered all of my silly questions and entertained all of my story telling. Our food was delicious. My burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was tasty. My husband got a whole crab and needless to say, he was extremely pleased. I would recommend this restaurant to tourists and locals. We sat outside and enjoyed the views. First time visiting Seattle for a conference and decided to explore Pike Place Market. This restaurant is located toward the end of Pike Place and was within walking distance from my hotel, so I figured I'd give it a try. Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The location is perfect, and if you sit outside, the view is beautiful. Definitely a nice spot to take in the Seattle vibe. Cons: Unfortunately, the food was way too salty for my taste. I went to Pike's Fish Market for the first time in about 30 years. As far as i remember it still looks the same. The restaurants inside the market were packed... with tourist. I decided to walk outside of the market and found this place a short distance away. Mr Fish is located across from Victor Steinbrueck Park. It's a small sidewalk café with indoor/outdoor seating. The $2 Happy Hour Oysters sign caught my eye! I sat on an outside table. It was chilly. I ordered 6 oysters, a bowl of clam chowder, and a Georgetown Tavern Lager on Tap. The chowder came out first. It was topped with seasoned fish crackers. The size was smaller than I expected, for the price. But it was flavorful and had a lot of clams. Probably still a good price compared to inside the market. The oysters were fresh. They came with lemon wedges and a spiced vinegar sauce. They were so good, I wanted to order more. But I had more exploring to do. I think the tourist need to do more exploring outside of the market to find hidden gems. This place was pretty empty, but should've been packed. read more

I'd heard a lot about Mr Fish from the Seattle Times restaurant guy. I have to say the fish lived up to the hype. The best battered fish I've had in Seattle in some time. Wasn't a fan of the chips. Full disclosure: I'm not a huge fan of fries, in general, but these seemed firmer and more potatoey than usual. We tried a chowder, too. It was nice and thick the way I like it, but Mr Fish has a thing for smoked clams (the chowder was smoky and they also serve a smoked clam dip). Fan of thick, less of a fan of smoke. The service ends up very accommodating even though there is some confusion seating people. Especially if first come first serve seating is important to you. The chicken is very crispy. It's also very greasy and uneventful. I'll accept part of the blame because I've built up an expectation of Pacific coast fish that just wasn't met. We were on a 6hr layover in Seattle and chose to lyft to pikes place. Pikes place was extremely crowded and at some point I grew hungry. We stopped at this location as there were seats available, looks like a large enough restaurant that was pretty full and peoples platters of fish and chips look great. The staff were very attentive and stopped by frequently. Coming from Hawaii, we have great fish so expectations were pretty high. I love a good fish and chips so was anticipating heaven. Everything tasted great, but by the third fish the oil was already getting to me. I tried a bit of the kids chowder and it had great flavor. I only wish it did not have bacon as I am pescatarian. I did notice that it was primarily Caucasian in the restaurant. I thought the plates were a little pricier than what I would expect to pay but it is in a touristy spot. Having not felt the best, I wanted to sit down and not rummage through all the people to get something from a kiosk which definitely would've cost less. However we had great service and the food served its purpose. The Caesar salad was also excellent with a refreshing, clean taste to the slightly salty fish. read more

We went here today 03/16/2026 and for the stars they have, we would've thought it was a lot better. The food was disgusting we got 2 fish and chips, the fish was soggy falling apart and dripping with oil I couldnt even eat it, the chips were almost raw and they were cold. We ordered the salmon dip appetizer which was ok but was overwhelmed with thyme (i think was seasoning). My husband ordered the chowder which he said was the best part of our meal the only thing he didnt like was the stale gold fish crackers on top of it. For what they charged ($115) for this we expected it to be way more appetizing then it was, paying that amount for less then mediocre food ruined our entire day. This place is absolutely over priced for food that was worse then eating fast food. 100% wouldn't recommend eating here and we'll never be back. I will add though the wait staff is super friendly. This place has been on my bucket list of fish-and-chip places to try but I was left really disappointed. The fish (beer battered cod) was more breading than fish and was really greasy. The fries were hand cut, but were also really greasy to the point that they were almost mushy.
