Beef quesadilla and an adobada baby burrito
    Christina G.

Tacos Chukis is a solid, affordable option for Mexican food. I got the beef quesadilla and the adobada baby burrito. The quesadilla was filling with plenty of meat, and the beef was juicy, although I wish it had been a bit cheesier. The adobada baby burrito was also good, with a generous amount of pork. The entire meal came out to around $12 and was more than enough food, which makes this a great value. The food doesn't take too long, as the staff is pretty efficient. There's a decent amount of seating at the SLU location, and I've always managed to get a table. While it's not mind-blowing, it's consistently good and a reliable spot when you want something filling without spending too much.

Once again, good ol reliable! Tacos Chukis never disappoints and as a taco enthusiast, I can safely say these are the best in Seattle. Coming from Cali this is a MUST GO every time I'm in town. I stick to the carne asada tacos and carne asada mullitas, straight 10/10! I love that they offer vegetarian options with the nopales and beans as options, my girlfriend loves the nopales mullitas too. Their service is always amazing, super kind and friendly to everyone. For a late night taco hunt, this is your spot! Tacos are fairly priced and flavorful every time. I'll definitely be coming back before my flight back home.

Came to Tacos Chukis with coworkers for lunch. It was very busy, with a decently long line but moved pretty quickly. I got 4 tacos which was the right amount for me. They were really good. Next time, I may go for the Torta. There isn't much seating, so we kind of had to stand around tables until folks left, but it all ended up working out.

The first thing you notice about this location is how clean it is. What a plus especially when you're not expecting much from a taco venue. You can order it with the self-serve kiosk or there is a cashier if you need assistance. Ordering was super easy. The prices are great. Food comes very quickly. Man are these tacos amazing. They are as amazing as they look. The flavor meat is juicy you get everything you need on these tacos. I'm normally in Asada street taco girl so obviously I got two of those and they were great but what was even better was the pastor with the pineapple. Guacamole has a little kick to it, which is perfectly fine that's why you have the Horchata to cool it down. Their Horchata it was perfect. Great in flavor, creamy, refreshing. I'm coming back as often as I can !

One of my favorite taco shop around Seattle! Lots of flavor, great price, great portion sizes, love everything about this place. Highly recommend, especially if you're not from Seattle, I would come back.

First time visiting on a Friday around 12:30 PM. We ordered ahead because we knew it was likely to be very busy and this stood true. When we arrived, the place was crowded, with most tables full and a long line waiting to order on the screen by the door. We waited off to the size and my predicted pick up time was around 12:35 and the order was ready within 5-10 min around that. The restaurant would be a good place to casually eat, as it is quite lively and popular. I ordered a pollo torta and a cactus taco. The meat/fillings of everything were very good! The chicken especially was flavorful and very generous. I'm not a huge corn tortilla fan but outside of that the taco was solid, and I love that they offer cactus as a veg option. The prices are great, especially for SLU. I'll definitely be back!

Food - Piping hot tacos with good flavor. Many options of tacos and food to choose from. Can make modifications to food choices. Service - Self order is available and tables are self-bus. Food comes out fast and workers will bring food to your table if dining in. Ambiance - Casual place to bring friends or coworkers.

Nopal Asado (grilled whole prickly pear cactus pad) with carne asada.

We tried a few things but I'll focus on the nopal asado, which I got with their carne asada. The nopal was nice and tender, with a texture similar to okra. The carne asada was a bit dry, but tasted good when mixed with the mild guacamole sauce, lime, and salsa. If you're a fan of different textures in food, you should definitely try it! The cashier was friendly and everything came out as we ordered (we got the sauces on the side because we weren't sure of the heat levels). Restaurant is small and bustling, and can get loud at times, but it's clean and bright (including the restrooms).

Taco Chukis = TACO MAGIC. We were in a hurry before a tour and thought we'd just grab a snack... little did we know, we were about to meet two of the best tacos we've ever had! The chicken was juicy, the carne asada perfectly charred and seasoned. Total flavor bombs. Only regret? Not ordering more. Small space, big taste. Go now.

These are the best value tacos in SLU. $2.95-$3.35 for a taco filled to the brim with fresh ingredients is crazy! I love this place- the adobada pork topped with grilled pineapple hits every time. No notes.

Top: chicken muleta, carne asada baby burrito. Bottom: pollo taco, adobada taco w/pineapple. Delish!!!

I think I've found my new favorite fast Mexican food place! Tacos Chukis makes delicious, well-seasoned food that's affordably priced and comes out fast. This is a no-frills, bustling kind of place. You order using an ipad at the counter, then grab a plastic number. They bring your food to your table. Bus your own trash please. I like the no-nonsense, down-to-earth atmosphere and how the place is packed with people of all ages. My hubs got the pork adobada taco with pineapple (delish!) and the pollo muleta (kinda dry). I got the carne asada baby burrito in a handmade tortilla (loved it!) and a pollo taco (kinda dry). Docking one star for the dryish pollo (chicken) and because the guacamole is made with mayo. But other than that, this place rocks! We'll be back!

It's tacos chukis. Need I say more. Delicious every time. One of the only places in seattle where I don't feel mildly cheated by the prices

It's not a Californian Taqueria, but Tacos Chukis satisfies the Mexican food craving while up in Seattle. I ordered a signature Taco Chukis, an Adobada taco, and an Asada taco and the Adobada meat was definitely the highlight. The grilled pineapple is a nice touch and I love me some guacamole green salsa so seeing that over all the tacos was a plus in my books. The meat's juiciness and tenderness is where Taco Chukis falls short, but if I'm ever craving Mexican food in Seattle I'll be back!

However, it still tasted like it had a really nice flavor, and had a soft interior. It being actually spicy would've moved this dish up a lot, though each taco was primarily made out of this chicken - and there was so much of it it was practically insane - but I loved this amount shoutout to the onions as well - they were great I asked for the habanero sauce - which i thought was ok - wasn't spicy at all and didn't add much flavor. will go with another sauce next time tried mixing in some taco bell fire sauce which was interesting i love that these came wrapped in aluminium foil to preserve heat. a great touch overall, as far as taste, these were pretty good, but when you consider the amount of meat you're getting, along with overall portion size - it's simply a fantastic meal.

I knew going in that I had to try their carnitas, but it was the other dishes that impressed me the most. The quesabirria was top notch. If you haven't had one before, it's as if a quesadilla and a taco had a beautiful baby - and the tortilla is dipped in the sauce that the meat is cooked in. The cheese is plentiful and delicious, it's a blanket that I've to take a nap in. I was a bit thrown off by the chunks of birria, most places shred it up. But I would say that it was much more juicy than the shredded version, I was blown away. This comes with some awesome roasted jalapeños and onions. The carnitas taco was excellent. For a street taco, they load it up with meat. It's a very traditional taco, so just carnitas, onions, and cilantro on a tortilla. But if you have the opportunity to eat here you should, they have an extensive taco bar with everything you need. The star of the show for me was the tostada de camarón.
