Okay, this might have been the best quesadilla ive ever had in my life. I ordered the carne asada one and the esquites (street corn). I would skip the street corn, it was super salty and didn't have many spices or flavor. The quesadilla on the other hand, was ginormous and loaded with steak, perfectly seasoned and piping hot. I will be coming back solely for this. The prices are a little high, but the portions make up for it. They're also the latest food spot open in Capitol Hill, I think until 3am! The food was great. I personally got the Carne Asada fries and the 4 Tacos with carnitas as the protein. Compared to other places that I have gone to, this place is on par with the others. And that is coming from someone that got used to Cali-Mex food. The portions of the food was loaded for me. But that is my personal opinion. I love this restaurant. Kind service, free parking, and open very late. On Thursday through Saturday they are open until 3 am, its one of my favorite spots to order food from late. Their horchata is the best I have had in all of Seattle. Other places don't fare to the fresh rice and cinnamon taste of Antojitos. I love their carne asada fries and burritos as well. For reference: I am not a Mexican food snob and don't know the difference between Tex mex and cali mex of any other varieties. I know what my friends families make as far as homemade and I know what my Puerto Rican peeps make as a mash up between Mexican American Puerto Rican -esque. Then today I ran across them in a parking lot of a teriyaki store on north cap hill. I don't normally go for food in a truck, especially Mexican food because of all the grease. The food here did have a bit because they cook on a flat top. It can't be helped and it sounded better than the restaurant meal. I enjoyed the food here - got a kids quesadilla and a kids burrito. They both came with rice and beans. The rice was moist and had flavor. The beans were good and not salty but also not super flavorful but I would grub them down again without a thought. The sizes were perfect for me and my mom to just eat something quick and continue onto doctor appointments. They came with one red (spicy level 3-4) and a green (spicy level 1-2). They were so tasty and delicious! I'm not the biggest spicy person but was in the mood for some good hot sauce and these hit. My mom said the green was spot on perfect and nothing was overpowering. The tortilla was thick and was very good. The service was great, I walked up to a guy singing to himself (no loud music) and the two guys were quick and friendly. I was standing at the window and waiting for the guy to bend down like he was ready to take my order, when a dude cut in front of me. I was like, wtf are you doing? I'm the only other person and you have to lean in on the side just to get in front of me to cut??? And the worker helped him!!! This was quite impressive as i ordered beef cheek, which when braised is usually the most tender and flavorful cut. Went here because I saw they had some offerings like in California or Arizona. I was willing to pay 11$ for the mango slush thing just to try it out and I was really disappointed it was 11$ after trying it. It was only decent. As far as my burrito, I was disappointed. It tasted like frozen shrimp stirred in canned tomato sauce. Zero flavor. I got sick the next day. Second attempt I got the fish and Birria tacos. Disgusting!! The fish were again frozen, deep fried to the point of being burnt. Yet still had a waxy texture and strong odor. No amount of cabbage or sour cream could cover that up. The birria was so poorly made. The tacos were not deep fried Just drenched in oil. The meat wasnt even seasoned. And the dipping sauce was literally oil with some onions floating in it.
