Highly recommend the guacamole and chips!

Went here for my birthday lunch on Friday around 1pm and was happily surprised. Rocket Taco has moved across the street and one storefront down to the old Tallulah's location (oh, how I loved that restaurant and still miss it). It is now in a beautiful, spacious, and airy space, and we loved it. I had the Taco Salad with carne asada and my hubs had the Traditional Taco Plate with three chicken tacos (you can only choose one protein) on wonderful homemade corn tortillas with a small side of smokey beans. Everything was savory, fresh, and tasty. We ate outside and it was so peaceful and nice--the perfect place for my birthday lunch. The fresh flowers on our table were such a nice touch! Food is flavorful and delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient. The ambiance can't be beat. A winning combination and highly recommended.

Order at the counter. A nice array of options, from tacos to proteins to plates, and a fast-casual dine-in model, but with lots of table and bench seating both indoor and out, in a basic but modernist setting. On a warm summer night, the outdoor patio seating was great. My chicken tinga tacos were excellent with a good flash of spice and in a hefty portion. You can snag beer wine and some cocktails here too, and service was fine. A pleasant meal and comfy setting at fair prices; I would come back. Worth noting -- there was a rats nest near a close-by parking strip where you could see activity if you were sitting outside, like we were. It's not at all the restaurant's fault and it did not freak me out, but others in your party might react differently. Just tell them that's just life in a big city.

How have I not reviewed my favorite spot for posole yet?? On particularly cold, blustery seattle days I crave rocket taco. Specifically their posole with a side of chips. It's hearty, perfectly seasoned, and warms you right up. I tried a bowl this most recent visit, and should have stuck to a cup. It's huge! You could share it. Service was fine, though it's easy when it's a walk up and order first type of joint. Food comes out really quick! This isn't quite dive bar, but is more cozy bar that also allows kids. They had some good movies showing when we were in, as well as the college NCAA games.

Well, I'm pretty sure we just found our new favorite Seattle taco place! This sweet little spot on Capitol Hill was just the answer to our Friday night food cravings. The vibe was eclectic and casual, and the food was delicious. You order at the counter here, then find a table. We had barely just sat down when our food was magically before our eyes. Talk about speedy service! I've been to fast food joints where it took longer to get a burger and fries. I had the pozole, which was a hearty cup of tender pork age hominy in a savory red sauce. At only $5 for the cup, it was an amazing deal and very filling. The dude got their adobo chicken tacos, which was on special. Luckily, he let me have a few bites. They were wonderful. We also shared an order of chips and their famous guacamole. I can see why people rave about this guac! It was simple and perfect. Our meal was topped off by a couple of cold beers. You know it's good when the next day I'm already thinking about going back. I really want to try their taco salad next time.

We came here for tacos and margaritas for Cinco de Mayo. The space is large with plenty of indoor seating and a good amount of outdoor seating too, which we opted for. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they bring your food and drinks to the table. I got the Al Pastor Deluxe tacos (comes with three) and the house margarita. I chose the frozen version, but you can get it on the rocks as well. The margarita was part of the happy hour menu, which was a nice bonus. Everything was spot on. I'd definitely come back.

Loved all the vegetarian taco options! I also really loved that it was easy to customize and click dairy free. We did take out and it was really easy to order and customize. Everything was super well packaged and tasty! We would definitely order from here again!

Pros: decent food, chilled vibe, ample seating outdoors and indoors Cons: nothing tastes especially good or memorable to me

    Shrimp Quesadilla

Food was an abomination. Quesadilla was excessively sweetened, smokey, and greasy. Not an inviting chipolte flavor - the complete opposite - like cheap barbecue sauce. The churros were BAD and dense. Like if you left a raw churro out long enough to become hardened. I would even go as far to say the food was gross :( and I very rarely have this experience with food. I have had their tacos before and they were okay, affordable, but not outstanding. Won't be ordering here again.

*Deluxe Sweet Potato Black Bean Tacos (you get 3)

The food was super delicious! We got the quesadilla with Al Pastor, had a little sweetness from the pineapple and was nice and big, enough for two. We also ordered the sweet potato black bean tacos (pictured), had a yummy bbq and smoky flavor. The guacamole was hands down the best guacamole I've had at a restaurant in a while. Would definitely buy all of these dishes again. The ambience was comfortable and allowed dogs inside and out, which was nice since it was a hot day, gave us a break from the hot sun. Service was polite and food was served quickly.

Casual but very inviting Taco place in Capital Hill. Lots of vegetarian options. For me the vegetarian option was a bit better than the meat option. So I can highly recommend trying this. I love the ambiance as it is casual but still a great place for Happy Hours or hanging with friends after work. We ordered: Chicken Traditional tacos Cauliflower Chickpea deluxe tacos I highly recommend the vegetarian option. Staff was great and welcoming, enough service to order fast and get food fast as well.

We were so excited to try this taqueria after Kenji Lopez-Alt posted about three of their dishes on Instagram. We liked the Al Pastore tacos (3.9/5 stars) and pork belly tacos (4.1/5 stars) are good (although perhaps not mind blowing) and we felt that the pork pozole (5/5 stars) was phenomenal. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is no mix and match. You get three traditional tacos for $11 or three premium tacos for $14. Overall, we had a good experience, and we want to give the restaurant a second chance to see if it is actually great, as reviews from 2023 indicate. I will say that we were surprised by the volume of cilantro on each taco (probably four times the amount we usually see at restaurants - and we are NOT allergic to cilantro! It's just that it was excessive). The other quirk was the temperature of the tacos - the restaurant had all of the windows open, so I think room was only 55°F. Maybe that was why the first taco was warm (not hot) and the other two tacos on my plate cooled down extremely fast, even though we were starving and eating quickly. The servers were friendly, and the tacos were served quickly.

was helped very quickly and my food was also ready very quickly despite the restaurant being packed! loved the quesadilla and the vibe of the place. also the girl who helped me was very energetic and helpful!

This is a cute restaurant in a great location but I wouldn't come here for "tacos" again. The corn tortillas were nice and fresh, the shredded beef was a bit mushy, the beans were average. The menu is above the counter.

However, it still tasted like it had a really nice flavor, and had a soft interior. It being actually spicy would've moved this dish up a lot, though each taco was primarily made out of this chicken - and there was so much of it it was practically insane - but I loved this amount shoutout to the onions as well - they were great I asked for the habanero sauce - which i thought was ok - wasn't spicy at all and didn't add much flavor. will go with another sauce next time tried mixing in some taco bell fire sauce which was interesting i love that these came wrapped in aluminium foil to preserve heat. a great touch overall, as far as taste, these were pretty good, but when you consider the amount of meat you're getting, along with overall portion size - it's simply a fantastic meal.

I knew going in that I had to try their carnitas, but it was the other dishes that impressed me the most. The quesabirria was top notch. If you haven't had one before, it's as if a quesadilla and a taco had a beautiful baby - and the tortilla is dipped in the sauce that the meat is cooked in. The cheese is plentiful and delicious, it's a blanket that I've to take a nap in. I was a bit thrown off by the chunks of birria, most places shred it up. But I would say that it was much more juicy than the shredded version, I was blown away. This comes with some awesome roasted jalapeños and onions. The carnitas taco was excellent. For a street taco, they load it up with meat. It's a very traditional taco, so just carnitas, onions, and cilantro on a tortilla. But if you have the opportunity to eat here you should, they have an extensive taco bar with everything you need. The star of the show for me was the tostada de camarón. You just don't get them like this elsewhere in Seattle. Shrimp, mango, jalapeño, and avocado are all diced up to provide even distribution on a crunchy tostada. It's an exquisite bite every time.
