Every sip of my mango margarita with tajin and chamoy (fresh and made on-site) was a flavor explosion...literally the best margarita of my life...no joke and I am 51 years old which means I have had many a margarita! The food was right there with the flavors. Every bite was amazing and hot! My friend and I couldn't stop with our amazement. To top it off, we had the best service from Erika and her staff. She and her husband own the restaurant and started the restaurant from a food cart and then opened on Alki. Another is opening on Capitol Hill soon too. They are killing it with their food. Everyone was in great spirits and we just had the best experience eating, having a beverage, and watching a World Cup game. The food is not bad but also not great. Price is pretty fair for the area. Ambiance is typical of a Mexican sports bar/cantina-esque establishment (not fancy but they have outdoor seating and open windows during nicer weather). The chile verde is fine. The nachos and salsas are also just ok. The goat birria is good, not gamey or tough, but not spectacular. Idk... it's just that something is missing but I can't quite put my finger on it. As far as service goes- The hostess and some of the bartenders are nice but most of the other FOH staff seem to almost be annoyed to have to serve people lol. Definitely my biggest deterrent (and I am a very low-maintenance dining guest) which is unfortunate bc the location is super convenient for me. Another note: I've been here a few times and spend quite a bit of $$ each time yet when I asked to have tiny bite-sized samples of their salsas to see which one I wanted to order a full serving of the manager said no. Fire Tacos has the birria tacos I've been looking for! This was a fun bar/restaurant right on the main strip of Alki Beach. Lots of fun decor and I'm sure it turns up at night! Staff were friendly, but I feel like once we got our food we didn't see our waitress again until it was time for the check. It was cool that they offer beef, lamb and goat for the birria options -- definitely not something you see often here in WA. The consume was flavorful, beef was incredibly tender. They offer 3 different salsas, which each complimented the tacos with different flavors and spice levels. Next time we go I'll be sticking with the quesatacos because they are crunchy which helps the tortilla hold up. Meanwhile the standard birria taco seems to have a steamed tortilla which falls apart very quickly. Total for 4 people, with a few drinks, ended up being about $160 before tip. Loved the food here! This place has a very casual vibe, the servers are really friendly and prompt. The food is very flavorful!! After hearing so much about this place, my wife and I made the trek out to West Seattle to check it out! I'm glad we did because it lived up to the hype! The birria tacos were really good, and the salsas were perfect for them. They had tons of different drinks and birria options for people looking for the more traditional birria. I got the firebox, which comes with one birria taco, one quesabirria taco, one birria quesadilla, one birria mulita, and consume. That dish was $25, and the best way to try everything. I recommend eating fast if you're getting the birria taco because the tortilla will fall apart from the birria's consommé. My only issues with this place are 1) the cost of a taco is $5. That's wild. 2) The service wasn't the best. We didn't get checked on enough and needed more napkins and drink refills. We had to flag people down to get their attention. read more

This is my second time going here and it's been amazing so far. I go with the girls and we rent the lime scooters after and it's so fun. This restaurant is by the beach and the interior is such a vibe. The food is amazing. Never have we ever got something that was okay, decent or not good. We got some shots and drinks. All of the drinks were really good. I get the quesabirria tacos and it hits every time, you HAVE to get the consomé on the side (im salivating as im writing this). We got the same host and honestly he made our night. So funny and sweet. We also get the churro boat? Food was amazing. We really enjoyed our tacos and nachos...the best tacos we ever had. We finished the nacho like in seconds LOL maybe we were hungry. It's so fresh and the flavoring and garnish is on point. Service was friendly and efficiency. As soon as the waiter turned away after he took our orders, the nachos showed up. The vibe is fun and loud like a usual Mexican bar/restaurant. It was a nice and warm day in Alki, an area always so crowded and can be overwhelming, on any nice warm sunny day. We walked to Ben & Jerry next door and had a small ice cream, sat down and finished it, then got notification our table was ready. Visiting my son at Akli Beach area and went for lunch. Seated at a great table with a view of the beach. Pleasant waiter joked with us and checked on us several times. Cute decor inside. My son told me the birria tacos are great here, but I ended up ordering asada and spicy pork tacos just to try. He got the quesabirria tacos and gave me a bite. Quesatacos are definitely the way to go here. Nice crunchy outside with the cheese goodness. My regular tacos were good. I wasn't a fan of the spicy pork. It was just spicy with no sweetness at all. Asada was in small chunks. I prefer a little smaller chunks, but this way the meat stayed moist and tender. We both got a traditional margarita which was very tasty. My husband ordered a plain chicken burrito. He said the chicken was tasty. One thing different from most taco places is there was no combo option with rice or beans included. Awesome food and friendly service! Four of us came on a Sunday for lunch and sat outside on the patio (patio is not large). We started out with chips and salsa.....you could tell things were "homemade" and we enjoyed them. My bride ordered the Pollo Bowl and commented on how moist the chicken was and how she loves the the. I went with the Fire Box and absolutely devoured it - everything was outstanding! I stopped in at Fire Tacos & Cantina today for a Yelp Elite Experience and while there I bought an additional dish and a beer. I arrived soon after their 11:30 AM opening and sat at the bar where I was well taken care of. While there I tried their Chile Verde Quesadilla and topped it off with a pint of Pacifico! The Chile Verde Quesadilla caught my eye by the description in the menu that it won an award from LA Eater (?). I thought it was more like a soft open taco and not the two tortillas surrounding cheese and other fillings that I make at home. This one was unique and the pork cubes were very tender likely having simmered in the chile verde sauce for a good long time. It was very delish! Overall, the staff were friendly and checked up on me for anything I might need. I love their decorations inside and took a bunch of photos posted with this review. In the summer their rollup windows look like they make the place feel more tropical (as much as Seattle weather can get!). I learned they have a location in Kent, they have a food truck on Aurora Ave near Green Lake and will soon be opening a Cap Hill location. I recommend this place for some great Birria tacos and decor. read more

A great Mexican restaurant to eat at if you're at Alki Beach! We came here on a sunny Sunday and it was packed. We got their birria tacos and birria ramen. Their birria tacos were pretty good and the consome was made well! Each birria tacos did cost around $5 and the consome itself was $3, so it's a bit pricey here. The birria ramen was good as well, but it's not something I would get again. I wish there was more birria beef with the ramen. The service was great. The server was very nice and helpful. The food didn't take long to make at all, and it's crazy because it was packed. I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. There's a decent amount of seating. Have been here a couple of times and I'm never disappointed with each visit, the food is always great and even with their drinks, I love how they do their presentation with every dish/drink on the menu it's very pretty. The place over all seems not too big but not too small, I will say though that towards the back it's super cool and you can take pictures with friends/family so don't miss out on that after your done. Sometimes the service is a hit or miss, it just really depends on how busy they are like for ex. If they're really pack sometimes you can't tell who's even the host to tell you how long the wait is or where to sit, but once your sat the waiter/waitresses will be on top of everything. I can't say enough about the food at Fire Tacos. While I "always" order their award winning Chile Verde Wet Burrito, with Mango Cart beer, their whole menu is amazing. The chile verde pork is so good, my wife, who primarily orders vegetarian, goes for all their variations, quesadillas being her favorite. This weekend is Valentine's Day, and while I am not with my beloved, George and Erika shared a sample of their new menu items, chilaquiles (heart shaped for the holiday) - both chili verde and chipotle. The other item was a stack of tres leches pancakes, with fruit. While all were delicious, I liked the chipotle chilaquiles the best. Good enough to make me consider mixing up my wet burrito with salsa macha in the future. So, we just came back from Playa del Carmen Mexico, where we hoped to have some over the top Mexican food. While breakfast was great it wasn't enough to outshine Fire Tacos. A waiter at one restaurant summed it up well. Everyone in Mexico makes good food, but the best of the best succeed in the US. Very disappointing experience. We were told we could not be seated because our entire party had not arrived yet, even though some family members were actively looking for parking. Anyone familiar with the area knows that finding parking can be extremely difficult and time-consuming. Turning away customers under those circumstances shows a lack of flexibility and customer service. It was frustrating to be denied service when the rest of our group was only minutes away. I would not recommend this place unless your entire party is present before checking in. Unfortunately, the experience was made worse by the fact that the food was only average. Walked past the window and saw someone eating Birria Ramen and two questions popped up in my head. 1) I have not seen Birria Ramen anywhere in my area, since when is this here? 2) How have I passed by this Fire Tacos location on my way to the arcade and never noticed it?? I'm glad this event was a drop in! I got to meet with a friend for a girls night here. The churros were amazing. Fresh warm filling inside while crispy on the outside. The tacos were good, I ordered get the ramen birria soup but probably wouldn't recommend it. Soup was good when dipping the taco with the broth but adding noodles to it made it really bland. Chips and guac were kind of pricey for the portion received. My friend enjoyed her pork and beef tacos but since we ordered so much she didn't get to try the shrimp. Such a great taco place! We tried beef and quesataco with consomme, pork chile verde tacos, pollo tacos and carnitas. All we're very flavorful and juicy except carnitas that were a bit dry, which I was disappointed with and it's the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. Today was crazy long due to their 2nd anniversary. So their tacos is only $1 each, limit 7 per person. They started from 4-9pm. We got there around 3:30, the line was already 30 ppl deep. We arrived just in time, got in for the first round. They have 7 types of taco for today $1 special. My dad introduced us to this restaurant because he was very excited to support something local, especially because he found a post on Tiktok that was emotionally promoting the business. When we walked in, the game was playing extremely loud to the degree that it was just annoying us. It was hard to enjoy where we were when something is blaring in our ears. It's also very hard to find a parking spot, and I won't blame the restaurant for this but my dad spent 20 minutes driving around. We waited at our seats with water for about 15 minutes waiting for my dad to arrive, then one of the hosts tells us that we will have to go if we don't order anything. I understand that there is a limit for us to wait, but the service and attitude of the host wasn't necessary. Not only that, the food is quite expensive for even just one taco being $5 and very few options on food besides tacos and burritos. We randomly stumbled upon this place which has a good view of the water and is right in the Alki Beach area. We got sat outside to enjoy the view and despite it being a pretty busy day, we were constantly checked up on in a timely fashion. The waiter was very friendly and with it being our first time, we asked for drink recommendations and they did not disappoint. The fruity drinks were very refreshing and the fresh fruit with the tajin was a nice touch. I will suggest putting a napkin or carefully eating the fruit on top before drinking as a lot of my fruit did fall from being a bit overfilled. Can't complain about the amount they give, just wish I was more careful with it. I ordered the Wet Burrito which was topped with melted cheese and smothered in Chile Verde. Despite the outside being more on the wet side, cutting into the inside, you were greeted by the pork chunks, rice, and beans. It was really yummy and filling although I wish they gave an option to make it spicier; then again, I didn't ask so maybe there's some secret to getting it made spicier. My friend and I were hungrily walking around in the area and we saw Fire Tacos. We were both down for tacos and wanted to try this place out. We were able to get seated almost immediately, which I'm very glad about. The quesadillas were pretty good, although I wouldn't say that anything particularly stands out compared to other taco joints. I was a bit taken back that the quesadillas were a bit on the smaller side, but they were the same price as the tacos so should I should've expected that.
