Really great cali style burrito spot. Prices are affordable especially for the portions. Breakfast burritos are a killer deal. My personal favorite is the carne asada with fries burrito! a california burrito with a twist. Tortillas are fresh and tasty. Service is reasonably fast given that they are cooking up a bunch of orders after you order. Drive thru can take some time if there is a lunch line, but it is worth the wait trust me. Salsa bar is stellar, defintely worth trying all of the different sauces. I have talked with the owners at least once and they are really kind and amazing people. Love to support these guys and this burrito spot! If you ever went to Memos in Tacoma back in the day, this place is better than that, that Memo's used to be ran by the present owners of this place. Only thing holding it back from 5 stars is just the location because it sometimes gets a little nervy, but go for breakfast or lunch and you shouldn't have an issue! Sadly not really a fan of just dining in while in SODO but happy to grab an order to go. The better half loved her enchiladas and my sopes were solid too. This place is so terrible. I went through the drive thru and ordered 3 beef Taquitos and other food for my family. Upon eating my dinner at home I took a bite of my Taquito and was met with a stabbing pain. A damn wooden toothpick was in my taquito and stabbed me in my mouth. I am beyond pissed. I have a bleeding cut in my mouth now from this bullshit. I called the location and was met with an employee named Marisol who said her manager was not in and understandably didn't know what to do in this scenario. I am going to complain as far as I can go. Had this place on our list for a minute and finally came here for dinner when I was feeling too lazy to cook after getting groceries at Costco. For the price, you get relatively tasty food. I expected it to be much worse, as many of these restaurants tend to dumb down the flavor significantly to cater to the general population. They're no frills and quick service. I found the ladies at the counter to be alright --not overtly friendly, but not mean either. We ordered inside at the counter and then sat down inside to eat our meals. -The burrito was a good size, but didn't have any rice and beans, and the flavor was a bit bland, but it got the job done. Hubby left full, so it works out. -I got the queso birria tacos and ordered a side of rice and beans because I was craving them as we switched to Quinoa at home :( The Consommé was yummy enough, and they gave you a decent-sized side, so I used the extra to add flavor to my rice and beans. I liked the tacos. You can't go wrong with these, so I would have been really surprised if they managed to mess this dish up. As for the types of folks that frequent this place, I'd say yeah, you get the seedy ones given the area, but lots of regular city folks grabbing some food on their way home as takeout or after grocery shopping in the area like us. We didn't feel unsafe or anything and inside is spotless, super clean. Even when someone who seemed unhoused came in, he was treated well, and there were plenty of staff who would have likely intervened if something had gone down. That said, we were there on a Saturday afternoon, so I don't know how it gets on other days and nights. Stop by here today and it was so good getting this monster burrito. It had so much meat in it. It would've been nice to see a few other things besides all that meat if I could've tasted more toppings, but it was amazing and delicious. I don't know about the ambience cause I ordered it to go. Intoxicating bright lights & bold vibrant colors with the idea of tacos lured me into Alberto's for lunch. Yet that was my best part of the experience... Frank now reviews the menu and the 4ft imagery of the 5 rolled Tacos Supreme made me say, YES! A friendly staff member took my order and within a few clicks of the clock my order was served. I sit down and was still very enthusiastic about my order and then I ate some of it.. Let's just say very bland subpar food. By the halfway point I had the urge to upchuck right then and there. They must have changed their recipe for their chile verde pork dish and/or changed their cook. The last couple times it has been terrible. The sauce is reddish brown, not green (doesn't verde mean green?) and gritty tasting (added weird spices). I've been to 3 of the Aliberto's locations now and the 4th street location is by far the best. They recently increased some of the prices I think, but I still find their food totally worth it. I have only ever ordered one thing becuz it is literally so good and that is the Carne Asada burrito with everything. This burrito is so massive that I could never eat it in one sitting. I get two meals out of it making the price seems even better. My husband loves the grilled chicken burrito and eve he needs two sessions to finish his burrito. I don't really like going in the drive thru, becuz of course I need to hit the salsa bar and get some limes and burn-your-face-off Veggies to go with my burrito. Sometimes I add a little sour cream when I get home (don't ask for it there because then it doesn't reheat properly). The food was tasteless and quality wise some of the worst I've ever come across. We literally felt better throwing most of it away than finishing it. We ordered some mulitas that had a strong nasty taste that we could only describe as what body odor would probably taste like. Second time ordering from here (through DoorDash) and love it! Very quick service and both times, I ordered during rush hour. I absolutely love the quality of the tacos, with a generous (maybe too generous haha!) amount of meat, I could make another one or two tacos more out of it. The second time I ordered their California Burrito. I wasn't sure if it tastes the same as the California Burrito from Alberto's in Van Nuys (LA) so I knew I had to try it. I come here often because they are open 24/7 and right next to my job. You get a lot of food for the price especially being located minutes away from downtown Seattle. My go to is 2 birria mulitas with consommé. The consommé isn't the best you'll ever have but it's complementary with the meal so I can't complain. The mulitas are seasoned well and very flavorful. I found myself in the SoDo neighborhood around 9:45 am and in need of a hearty breakfast. I tend to avoid Denny's, etc in order to try something new so I ate at Aliberto's. Overall, it was as expected. Good authentic type food for a good price. No frills. I had Huevos Rancheros with corn tortillas and a fountain drink. There is a self serve hot sauce and other condiments bar in the lobby. I got a good amount of food for the price and it tasted just fine. The staff were there cleaning the floor and wearing protective gear while dealing with the customers (gloves & face masks). Great prices for a decent Mexican restaurant. They offer a kids menu, a drive through and in-person dining. I've had the carne asada burrito, chicken burrito and carnitas plate. All have come with very large portions that included a relatively large amount of protein which is a huge plus. And for those from California, their carne asada burrito is pretty close to what you get in SoCal. Not as good, but close enough considering how hard it is to find this type of food in Seattle. The one downside is that their guacamole is creamy, not chunky. This is good for their burritos since they add tomatoes and onions to them, but not great for dipping your chips into. They have only been open a few weeks (since March 2022) and still have yet to get the swing of things so they don't know their own menu very well, but I'm sure this will improve with time. But overall it's a very decent option for Mexican food in SoDo. read more
