As the name says "Spread" it was truly a great menu! Our cousin ordered the dip platter and raved about the different delicious dips. My favorite here was the beet dip. Trust me all the kids ate everything without a fuss. If you can see the picture of the melon salad it says it all! I have never imagined a cantaloupe would fit in this style of a dish. Outstanding flavors so well balanced. Don't miss it if you find it coz it's seasonal! The entree's I ordered a wrap and shared it. The portion sizes were a bit huge for me so I decided to share and glad I did! Excellent flavors of the lamb and the filling inside the wrap was delicious! Ended on a sweet tooth, the baklava was truly homemade the first bite said it all! Melt in the mouth. Loved the outdoor seating, spacious and well placed tables. Parking was on the streets and we had no problem with that!

We had dinner at Layla with a party of six, and while the food was excellent, the service was…read moredisappointing enough that it overshadowed the entire evening. The biggest issue was that a mandatory 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. If you're going to require guests to pay a 20% tip regardless of the experience, the service should at least meet that standard. Unfortunately, it didn't. Our server, Chloe, seemed far more occupied with spending time in the kitchen or attending to guests seated outside than checking on our table. We were dining inside, where the restaurant was nearly empty, yet she would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time, leaving us with no way to ask for refills, order additional drinks, or get simple questions answered. To make matters worse, our wine glasses arrived visibly dirty. We pointed it out, but they were never replaced. That's a basic service expectation at any restaurant, especially one at this price point. She also volunteered recommendations for her "favorite" dishes, despite us never asking for suggestions--and they happened to be among the most expensive items on the menu. It felt more like upselling than genuine hospitality. The kitchen deserves credit because the food was genuinely very good. But great food can't make up for inattentive service, especially when guests have no choice but to pay a mandatory 20% gratuity. If Layla is going to automatically add a 20% tip, then they should ensure the service earns it--not simply collect it regardless of how poor the experience is.

It was warm pita bread with tapenade. The tapenade was an olive oil based dipping sauce. Great flavor that paired well with the pita bread. The pita was warm and soft. The Warm Hummus was an excellent appetizer that followed. It was served with warm pita bread. The hummus was made with paprika, olive oil, and pine nuts. Loved how the paprika was mixed in with the oil. The hummus had a wonderful flavor. It was very creamy and had a nice zest. The grilled pita was good with the hummus. Great way to start our meal, too. The Chicken Kebab Lavash Wrap was good. The chicken had a great flavor. It was seasoned nicely. It was a bit overcooked, but we still enjoyed it. The arugula cabbage salad was crispy. The tzatziki sauce was good. It had a wonderful zest and very creamy. The aioli was spicy, but not overly spicy. Paired well with the meat. Loved the onions in the wrap. The Greek fries weren't too bad. They were crispy and seasoned nicely. The Beef Doner Wrap was great. The meat was very tender and tasted excellent. Loved its savory juices and it matched well with the tzatziki and aioli. The wrap was toasted well. The veggies were crispy and completed the dish. It was very enjoyable to have this for lunch. For drinks, we had the Peach Bliss and Efes Pilsner. The Peach Bliss was good. The mocktail had a wonderful flavor with its mixture of fruit juices. It was sweet, tart, and quite refreshing. Great drink to end our meal on a warm Saturday. The Efes Pilsner was good, too. An easy drinking beer that paired well with our meal. Light and refreshing. First time trying Turkish beer. Great experience. Service was great. Our server was very friendly and helpful upon our visit. She offered great advise and made our visit wonderful. Our food arrived in a timely manner. The hostess sat us down right away. Great times dining at this downtown Napa restaurant.

The seasonal menu's offerings were ideal for a rainy April day, when their cassoulet, bocadillo and other cozy options provided the comfort food we were craving. I loved the colorful tables and tasteful decor. It was clearly a regular lunch destination for many of the diners. The bar was packed during the rush, around noon, as well as the other indoor seats. My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. We ordered a rice pudding for dessert and dug in before I was able to snap a picture!
