Outstanding buffet for breakfast or dinner. The dining room and food is arranged very beautifully and the food is very good. Lots of American, international, and a few Japanese options. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Really great option if you are staying at the hotel.

Mozaik on the Sonoma Plaza is doing something special. Global flavors, serious execution. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The Kashmiri chicken tacos, green curry, and sea bass were all deeply flavorful and memorable. The fries came with three sauces (regular, curry, strawberry) and every single one was good. That kind of detail wins me over. Food 4.5/5. Two things to know: avoid the back seating, it feels cramped and overlooked. And skip the zinfandel, ours was a miss. Stick to the food and you will not be disappointed.

Lovely casual weekend lunch spot. Ordered the gem salad and shared the chicken tacos and umami burger. Host was extremely welcoming and nice. She offered samples for the wine so we could decide what to drink. Gem salad was fresh with a delicious crunch. The vinaigrette was simple and perhaps the most well seasoned part of the meal! Tacos and burger were fine. Ingredients were fresh and the salsa on the tacos was good. Burger was a little overcooked but the wasabi mustard was very tasty and unique!

To be honest we couldn't get a reservation at our first choice so decided to give MOZAIK a try and so glad we did. I was a little intimidated by the eclectic menu but everything we had was deliciously prepared and tasty. The restaurant feels romantic with just the right amount of soft lighting and decor. The staff are all professionally dressed and gracious. This is the perfect place for a date night for that special person. We split a Caesar salad with prawns -so delicious! Prawns perfectly cooked and grated egg was the perfect topping. The Thai green curry was perfect with just the right amount of spice. We usually skip dessert but decide to try the berry tart - AMAZING I can't say enough about the service we received from everyone there. Definitely going back

Mozaik is a small little restaurant with a bar that we went inside of on a whim. My wife and I were exploring Sonoma for the day for my birthday, and we ended up here for dinner. We had the Thai Green Chicken Curry & Mediterranean Sea Bass which were both phenomenal! Our waiter was extremely kind and brought us glasses of Rosé as a birthday treat. He also offered us dessert and we ended up getting vanilla ice cream topped with a spicy pistachio sauce, which was fabulous! I was even sung Happy Birthday by the restaurant! There was another woman celebrating her birthday who received the same treatment. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday dining experience. I appreciate both the waiter and waitress that helped us out, and how kind and thorough they both were. Highly recommend Mozaik!

Went for lunch - though the menu is small, everything sounded so good and had a tough time deciding. We ended up ordering the sticky ribs and wonton & shrimp. Both were excellent ... so flavorful and delicious!! Didn't look at a wine menu and instead shared a couple varietals we were interested in. The wines that came back were really good and took the pressure of having wade through a long list of wines. Will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu we were eyeing, but didn't get a chance to try. Suggest ordering rice with either the ribs or wontons & shrimp with such rich flavors.

Was in and out very quickly, but the service was good, ambiance was welcoming, and food was great. I'd come back and explore the menu more!

Seabass, French fries and Thai Chicken Curry

The food was excellent as I had the Seabass and wife had the Thai Chicken Curry. We also had the honey/chili carrots, little gem salad and the wonderful French fries with three diff kinds of homemade ketchup. The waiter, David was fantastic! I highly recommend this place!

Nestled right on the Sonoma square, this incredible restaurant is easy to miss -- but it absolutely shouldn't be. We were only able to snag a late 3:30 p.m. reservation for a Valentine's dinner, and it was completely worth it, no matter the time. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and highly professional, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the shrimp wontons, short ribs, and gem salad -- and every single dish was mind-blowing. The portions were perfectly balanced, leaving us satisfied without feeling overly full. The restaurant itself offers a cozy, warm, and intimate environment that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. This is truly a must-visit spot when you're in Sonoma.

Tried this place out on a Saturday! Thai curry was pretty good, slightly spicy. Sea bass was fresh with potato puree. Highlight was actually the fries with different types of ketchup. Service was fine, the owner was taking our orders. Ambiance was nice and quaint but more suited as a wine bar....

    The crown salad with falafel

We dined in on a reservation and had a short wait. The restaurant was rather warm throughout the experience. Service was slow though the restaurant was busy. We split a bottle of wine, the sweet and spiced carrots which were really well cooked, the salad was a bit underwhelming although the dressing was delicious, the curry was nicely sized though my party member who got it felt it was under seasoned. The meal was rather expensive as a whole we felt for what we got.

Stumbled across Mozaik after wine tasting nearby and their happy hour quickly caught my attention. They have a flight of tapa bites for their HH menu, I believe 5 for $30 or 3 for less which I thought was a steal! They all sounded yummy so we opted to try all 5. The presentation was super cute too, the food came in dipping sauce platters with 3 of each to try. Some notable mentions were the hummus & falafel, meatballs, and some type of chicken shawarma! The dumplings and shrimp weren't my favorite, so I'd probably opt for just the other 3 next time. The customer service here was able phenomenal, we got seated fast and the employees were friendly. We really found this place on a whim so I'm glad we were able to get a quick bite here after some wine and before dinner as it was the perfect amount of food!

I've been here a few times since they've opened, with a my cousin for dinner, and for happy hour with friends after an event at the Sonoma Botanical Gardens, etc., and so far, there hasn't been a dish I haven't liked (although I declined to share the meatballs ordered by my friends - I'm sure they were good, my friends said they were, I just don't care for ground meat that much - call me an overgrown picky toddler, it's fiiiine). I love, love, love the sweet and spiced carrots, I could eat a hundred plates of those. Service is warm, personal, and inviting, and the ambiance invites good conversation.

Outstanding flavors so well balanced. Don't miss it if you find it coz it's seasonal! The entree's I ordered a wrap and shared it. The biggest issue was that a mandatory 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. If you're going to require guests to pay a 20% tip regardless of the experience, the service should at least meet that standard. Unfortunately, it didn't. Our server, Chloe, seemed far more occupied with spending time in the kitchen or attending to guests seated outside than checking on our table. We were dining inside, where the restaurant was nearly empty, yet she would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time, leaving us with no way to ask for refills, order additional drinks, or get simple questions answered. To make matters worse, our wine glasses arrived visibly dirty. We pointed it out, but they were never replaced. That's a basic service expectation at any restaurant, especially one at this price point. She also volunteered recommendations for her "favorite" dishes, despite us never asking for suggestions--and they happened to be among the most expensive items on the menu. It felt more like upselling than genuine hospitality. The kitchen deserves credit because the food was genuinely very good. But great food can't make up for inattentive service, especially when guests have no choice but to pay a mandatory 20% gratuity. If Layla is going to automatically add a 20% tip, then they should ensure the service earns it--not simply collect it regardless of how poor the experience is.

The seasonal menu's offerings were ideal for a rainy April day, when their cassoulet, bocadillo and other cozy options provided the comfort food we were craving. I loved the colorful tables and tasteful decor. It was clearly a regular lunch destination for many of the diners. The bar was packed during the rush, around noon, as well as the other indoor seats. My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. We ordered a rice pudding for dessert and dug in before I was able to snap a picture!
