I've been pondering how to rate this dinner for a couple of days. The food was pretty good and I think it is definitely worth a try. However it just wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. I did not find the location or the staff warm or welcoming. With so many other restaurants to try, I doubt I will return The burrata special appetizer wasn't particularly special. The first bite of my pork chop was amazing though!

I've been thinking of returning here for 9 years now and I'm so happy that my memory did not disappoint!! Still love the vibe, kind service, delicious carpaccio, delicious pasta w so much flavor and tender prawns (so many of them) and the apple crisp...we all agreed it was the best apple crisp we've ever had. I don't know what made it so good but it just was. We wanted to return again on sun and Monday but sadly they were closed those days.. but hopefully will not be another 9 years before I return again! Yum!!

Very quaint restaurant with really great food. We walked in for dinner and thought it was delicious! I had the shrimp pappardelle and he had the sole meunière. Both great dishes. And we finished with a flourless chocolate cake. Service was excellent. The server kept checking on us.

Definitely Not a Michelin Star Experience--for Service, at Least Café La Haye may have the food game going, but if Michelin gave stars for service, our waiter would be deep in the negatives. My sister and I were treated like we had activated stealth mode--no greetings, no service, not even a glance. I half expected him to say, "This aggression will not stand, man," but instead, we got nothing. Just pure paraquat energy. Thankfully, Christina (the manager and clearly the restaurant's MVP) came to the rescue. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we finally got food on the table and a little joy back in our evening. If not for her, I'd be warning everyone off entirely. Would I recommend it? Only if Christina's working--and if you don't mind earning your meal through sheer perseverance. So thank you, Christina, for bringing some soul and service to the evening. Café La Haye is lucky to have you--now if only your staff could follow your lead and recognize the living among their diners!!

Was really excited to try this restaurant as it's on the Michelin guide for Sonoma restaurants and it did not disappoint! The hostess and our waitress were both extremely friendly and gave us the best recommendations. Everything we ordered was exceptional but the standout dishes I really enjoyed were the braised short rib in puff pastry appetizer and the seasonal fish just melts in your mouth. You can tell the produce and meat they use are of the highest quality. We ended off the night with a couple of desserts and the warm apple pie cobbler paired with vanilla ice cream was truly amazing. A small but inviting restaurant that has everything you could ever want - amazing food, even better people and a cozy atmosphere!

I love Cafe La Haye! We snagged a last minute reservation for dinner. the restaurant is cute with art on the walls. the wine we ordered was very tasty and local. the pork chop and accompanying sauce was spectacular- highly recommend. we also had the appetizer special, which was heirloom tomato and burrata with a crostini. We ended the night with the yuzu cheesecake, a very tasty dessert. we were lucky with finding free street parking within a 2 minute walk. all in all, a great night in sonoma!

We had a lovely dinner with friends and enjoyed a super yummy dinner. The service was excellent and it is small and intimate just perfect for a small group or a date/ friends night out.

Went there today. Saturday night around 6:35pm. I did not have reservation, hostess is super nice and try to find me a 2--persons table. The ambience is very nice and restaurant seem to be busy. 1) Decor is modern look 2) Clean 3) Bathroom has interesting wallpainting, I don't have photo 4) I have food photos. 5) order appertizer, burrata and tomatoes and pesto sauce, very good 6) husband ordered risotto with shrimp, good 7) I ordered italian sausage with pasta, red sauce is very good I am so full, I really want to try the dessert, maybe next time.

This place was great. The food and service were fantastic. For mains we shared the pork chop and one of the specials, handmade tagliatelle with prawns. They were both so delicious! We were torn on desserts, so we ordered the apple crisp for there and got a slice of chocolate silk cake to go, which we enjoyed a few hours later. Both desserts were amazing.

Just amazing!!!! Service was impeccable food clean and to die for. Expensive dinner but completely worth every penny. We both ordered the salmon which just flaked away and was perfect parings with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Wine was so-so though it didn't make a difference. Will be back on all those special occasions.

We had such an once experience at Cafe La Haye! Every dish that hit our table was amazing! It was all so fresh and delicious! The restaurant is cozy and well adorned with classy art. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting without the pretentious vibe that a lot of high end restaurants have. The wine list was amazing and, most of all, we were blown away by the service! Our waiter was to notch and even artfully folded my napkin when I went to the restroom. The head chef and owner, Jose, came and checked on b each table personally and recommended dishes for us and his recommendations we spot on. This restaurant is truly a Sonoma gem not too be missed! Thank you for the incredible experience!

The intimate atmosphere, excellent service, and top-tier dishes are second to none. We had the pasta, risotto, and fish (the last one not pictured) and a bottle of wine. The food was perfectly balanced and so fresh! For dessert we had the yuzu cheesecake and one of the specials - a berry crumble. Both were stellar! The highlights include not only the spectacular food, but also the staff. We thought we lost an item at the restaurant and the staff diligently searched and communicated their updates to us. We are so grateful for the wonderful food and service, and we can't wait to come back!

This was my second visit to Cafe La Haye and although it's been a while since the first one, everything was just as perfect as I remembered the first time. It's small and intimate right off the historic square of downtown Sonoma. The staff is warm and welcoming. Because of its size, be sure to make a reservation well in advance. We started with a glass of wine from their very nice wine list . We decided to pass on appetizers and went directly to the butter lettuce, salad, and the Caesar salad. Both were beautifully presented & perfectly dressed with tender fresh greens and in the case of the butter lettuce, salad, crispy, bacon, avocado, and a hard boiled egg. For our mains, we enjoyed the pork chop, which was slightly overcooked, and they immediately offered to remedy that by the way, and the pappardelle pasta special of the night with shrimp. we saved a little room for some dessert since we were celebrating a birthday, and the fresh fruit apple crisp with ice cream with a cappuccino was worth every single calorie , Yum! Don't miss this little gem. Next time you are in Sonoma. It will not disappoint.

Liberty Farms Duck Wings: A must order, this is one of the finest ducks I have ever eaten with special call out to whatever they did to render out the fat from underneath the skin and get the skin so heavenly crispy and crunchy. Stone Fruit Panzanella: Classic Tuscan salad. Arugala, pears, cucumbers, mozarella, etc. So refreshing and clean, we ordered another one after easily finishing the first order. 16oz Ribeye Wagyu: IMHO way too decadent and savory for a single person, we ordered this one dish and split it so everybody get 2 pieces, made it taste so much better than with meat overload. Octopus: Chickpea conserva, saffron broth, with salsa. So tender and delicious, everyone enjoyed a slice of this though my oldest enjoyed it the most. Both dishes were very interesting and flavorful - not your average faire. The benedict was unusual, with the tomato-based sauce, but very tasty. The hash was heavy with local mushrooms, which gave it a richness and depth. The accompanying eggs were beautifully prepared (poached for the Benedict, and fried sunny side up for the hash). They def knew their menu. Immediately brought water with cucumber and lemon, very refreshing. I ordered the bread with butter to start, it was excellent. That butter just melts on every bite, taking the bread to the next level. Staff recommended the Rachel pastrami. It did not disappoint. It was very simple. However the combination of the thousand Island, sauerkraut, the pastrami and buttered bread just made it so delicious. It was decently meat packed too. The sandwich came with fries which I inhaled the ketchup that they brought me extra. It also came with two types of coleslaw both were delish. They were not overwhelming with dressing. The yellow one was interesting bc I thought it was turmeric but it was slightly sweet. Delish as well. Also ordered their Italian prosecco. Good, but not the showstopper I was expecting. Brussels Sprouts - These were really good! Perfectly roasted with lots of flavor. Spicy Sweet Chili Wings - THE STAR OF THE SHOW! These were hands down the best thing we ordered. Crispy, sticky, sweet with just the right amount of heat...absolutely delicious! I'd honestly come back just for these. Clam Chowder - Creamy, comforting, and a nice starter. Bacon Cheeseburger - A solid burger that definitely hit the spot. My only real complaint? The wings. Not the flavor--the portion size. For $20, I think the order should include at least 8-10 wings. You get six (the sixth one is hiding under the garnish in my photo ), and one of them was noticeably smaller than the others. They were so good that I just wished there had been more! Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Between the charming atmosphere, friendly service, and those unforgettable wings, I'd definitely come back again. Next time, I'll probably skip the bread and go straight for another order of those wings!
