    Eggs Benedict
    Rachel G.

We had a nice relaxing afternoon yesterday. The vibes are upscale, the food was good. We both got the eggs Benedict and we shared a bottle of champagne. We also got the cheesecake for dessert. The service was good. It was a rainy Sunday and not busy so the bartender was taking care of the entire restaurant. He was attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed. I made a reservation on open table, but we didn't need it, there was plenty of seating. The total bill was $130 for two people. The restaurant is inside the Lodge at Sonoma Resort. I will come back! I liked it.

We had breakfast while staying the weekend to celebrate a couple of birthdays. I highly recommend the lodge breakfast with chicken apple sausage. Their Carneros bread pudding French toast was a hit at the table and we all agreed that the coffee was very tasty. Ambiance was relaxing and we were able to walk in and grab a table for four on a Saturday morning. Pros: Delicious breakfast and coffee in a relaxing atmosphere. Cons: NA

3.5 Stars. Benicia's Kitchen is a great place to grab breakfast. There is plenty of seating and we went during the slow season in Sonoma so it was not very packed. I loved the decor and the relaxed vibe. While it was not the most outstanding breakfast I have ever had, it did leave me satisfied. The waffles were a great texture and were accompanied with caramelized apples that were the perfect amount of sweetness. The side of bacon was a generous serving for a side. The chicken sausage was delicious. I would definitely go back. I was staying at the hotel so it was a convenient and tasty breakfast option.

This restaurant is inside the Lodge at Sonoma. We had breakfast here mornings while staying at the lodge. It was a classy operation. The restaurant was modern and nicely furnished. I tried to sample a different dish each morning. I had Huevos Rancheros, Guacamole Toast, Huevos con Chorizo, and Chilaquiles. The dishes were prepared to order and had great presentation; all were very good. The service was great.

Arrived at the attached hotel starving on a Sunday late afternoon. As the restaurant is right off the lobby, sitting down for a meal was the clear choice. The space is airy and light, and I was seated promptly. Oddly, who let the hotel was busy, there was only one other table occupied in the dining area. I did order a cocktail, and the cherry gin sour was great. As I said I was starving, so I smacked on the truffle fries (crispy and light) and shishito pepper (tasty but a bit oily and heavy) before enjoying the farmer's salad for dinner. Loved the shaved vegetables in it, and the portion was generous so I had no hope of finishing. I look forward to trying break there in the next couple of days.

First off the hotel is WONDERFUL Our favorite hotel thus far Usually we're not a fan of hotel restaurants but we had to check them out. RAUL was VERY VERY nice. Great service, great convo, & a great vibe- Also gave us good recommendations which we appreciated Steak & eggs were a generous portion that came out fairly quickly- Love the chimichurri & the grilled onions Breakfast potatoes were PERFECT Steak & eggs were both not seasoned ): but that was the only bad thing we experienced! everything else made up for it. Will definitely skip the chicken sausage next time though Also, great michelada Overall, will definitely be back!

We ate at Benicia's three times while staying at the Lodge at Sonoma. The wait staff was excellent and kind. The food was well-prepared and delicious. Being there over Thanksgiving, some of the offerings were unique. It is a nice setting, but small and fills up quickly at times. Breakfast: They bring a complimentary little bowl of fruit, which is nice. Chilaquiles are fine, but come with carne in the sauce, which we didn't realize. The bread pudding French toast is very good, no complaints, except for maybe the calorie count. Eggs Benedict are okay, but I ordered it with the smoked salmon and it was way too salty. The English muffins are exceptional. The sourdough toast was also good and the French butter served with it is extraordinary. The omelette with spinach and goat cheese was large but not a stand out, a bit dry. Dinner: Excellent kale salad with butternut squash purée. Blistered shishito peppers were the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Worth a visit if are the resort.

Delicious breakfast!!! We got the chilaquiles and the birria tacos. They were nice enough to sub 1 taco with a side of fruit. Tasty, and the service was great and quick too!

Food is delicious, both breakfast and poolside. The bread pudding french toast was top notch, as were the country potatoes. I would skip the sausage next time. Buffalo chicken tenders and fries are a game changer by the pool and the staff is so nice.

I don't know if it's because we came in during a rush or we were hungry but despite being seated quickly, service was a bit slow. Despite that, we really enjoyed our meal. I had steak and eggs (pictured) but I wasn't expecting so much meat! It was a little overwhelming but definitely filling. My mom had avocado toast with smoked salmon (an added cost) but she (and my sister) were fans. My biggest recommendation is read the menu thoroughly, my dad was expecting a lot of stuff to come with his meal but didn't realize that some things were optional and the waiter didn't clarify. Slightly expensive but pretty good food.

Morning breakfast to start out my day in Sonoma. Raul greeted us and helped with our decision with The Breakfast Lodge with English muffin and bread pudding toast with chicken sausage. Raul was attentive and wonderful server. The meal felt special and feeling ready for the day.

Amazing food! My wife and I loved what we ordered here. The service was also good and the ambiance was amazing. It's what one would expect when dining at a restaurant in the lodge! The breakfast burger was amazing. I'm trying to eat a bit healthier but when I saw the burger it was a just and it exceeded expectations!!

This restaurant is right next to the lodge and provides room service to the hotel. The platinum Bonvoy members get credit here for breakfast. We tried the French toast, quiche and chia pudding with fruit. Everything was good and the service was fine but a little slow. Good restaurant overall and convenient for hotel guests.

Our party of four approached the bar and attempted to move a stool from the end of the bar to help accommodate our group. Instead of offering assistance or guidance, the female bartender mouthed from behind the bar, "That does not work for us, you will have to ask others to move." The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. In a very small establishment, I would expect staff--especially bartenders--to play an active role in helping organize seating and accommodating guests when possible, or at least to communicate in a friendly and solution-oriented manner. A simple suggestion or offer to assist would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the lack of warmth and accommodation made us feel unwelcome and discouraged us from staying or spending beyond one round. While the bar may have potential, customer service is a key part of the experience, and this visit fell short. I hope management considers reinforcing a more hospitable and proactive approach toward guest service.

We showed up, no previous reservation made,we showed up during their peak hours and they managed to seat us within 5 mins perfectly were we requested. Perfect ambiance to sit, drink, eat and enjoy a beautiful sunset. We started with The Morel mushroom tartare, which is morel mushrooms, with an egg, shallots and chives oil over a perfectly well toasted sourdough. Delicious! The steak tartare did not disappoint either. Great balance of flavor between the two. The mushroom earthy flavors along with a light hint of pesto from the morel tartare really balanced out the richness from the steak tartare. The pickled figs served with in the steak tartare really called my attention as they were delicious as well. That was my first having pickled figs :) The salad was delicious, I am a sucker for cheese and the perfectly ripe figs along with the chèvre cheese truly hit the spot. The wild flounder pouched was the wild surprise! I love a restaurant that preps their seafood just right. I love seafood! And I do not like it when it's over cooked. This dish did not disappoint! It was so rich and delicious. Flaky yet nicely seared on one side full of that citrus flavors along which just enhances fish's flavor once it hits the taste buds! Sure I was interested in some food but it was also a football Sunday and I wanted a cold frosty beer to celebrate my hike and the start of my roadtrip. I don't do strict planning when it comes to eating and drinking. I often find it more intriguing when serendipity plays a hand. I'm walking down this town's main retail square, insured something was within reach. I pass by this unassuming dive bar with no signage but very well laid out inside. It was surprisingly quiet for a weekend afternoon in a touristy spot. Friendly bartender asked me what I wanted. But I ask first if I could get our local football game on and if they served food. Game yes said it would be on within minutes. Food unfortunately no but there were tons of options outside the door. Ordered a cold lager on tap from the east coast. The lager was light cold and refreshing. I think I finished it within minutes. Tender was quick to ask for a refill, love that. I next get a beer refill, and a Jameson on the rocks to quietly sip on, as I was now committed to watching the first half there. Very impressive glass and pour on the Irish whisky. I take a few sips but finish my beer, but this time much longer to down as I wasn't so parched now. I sip the rest of the whisky but now well diluted from the cold ice, which makes it so much more smooth to me. It opens the spirit, takes away the heat and blooms the flavors. My second round took over an hour. Then halftime hits in the game with a close score, even though my team did not look good. I tell the bartender that I'll close out to look for some lunch. By this time the bar was filling up. 3 perfectly timed drinks for well under $10 bucks a pop just sent me on my long weekend on a sweet note. I found food around the corner where they had a tv and I was able to watch the remaining of the game there. If no TVs were found, I would have gone back to the bar to finish the game.
