Fantastic service , they seat you really fast. It gets packed in there, this is my second review of there with more pictures, food was good. The crabcakes were delicious. Oysters were very small for what you paid for, the shrimp salad was OK nothing too fancy. I liked the homemade dressing.

The staff at Salt and Stone graciously accommodated my party of 11 as we were able to be seated outdoors by the beautiful pond and at a secluded table to ensure privacy on a week's notice. Our waiter was funny and efficient. Food was great for brunch. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the grilled and raw oyster appetizers were tasty. Portions were generous. The bread pudding for dessert was a crowd pleaser. Highly recommend for your next big party or brunch.

Another satisfying visit! Solo pop in to grab a bite amidst vacationers and locals enjoying beautiful weather. Sat outside in front (views are so pretty) and I scarfed down the gluten-free hearty fish tacos. Very good! Server's were beyond excellent, professional, friendly, super helpful. Impressed all around again.

French Onion Soup - perfection

I've been spending annual mini -vacays here in this valley for decades and I only stumbled onto this great wine country resto just this year. And so glad I did cuz now I wouldn't mind in including them in each visit from here on out. It rained on this particular trip in the fall months and even for a weeknight dinner, this place was still quite poppin' with mostly locals. That speaks volume. Since it was raining no one was sitting on their heavily landscaped patio with koi pond and vineyard glimpses. I still took a look out there just to get a sense for possible future outs, and it's a major greenlight. Started with a local Pils that I had never ran into: Cuver Bell Road's Pilsner. I had just finished a wine tasting just down the street and after tasting several types of wine, my mouth just gets kinda fatigued from the tannins and bold acid of wines. When I took a sip of this crisp Pils, it was the refreshment break my palate was waiting for, so...damn...perfect. Probably one of the best Pils I've ever had, not brewed on that side of the pond. I'm already searching on how I can get this into my home fridge. Trust. French Onion Soup ($12/5*) Since it was a grey and rainy day, it seemed almost everyone in the bar area had a bowl of this under their face. I haven't had this soup in ages and it just hit so perfectly on this evening. Perfect natural beef broth that wasn't too salty and studded with super tender caramelized juiliennes of onion that each bite so comforting and warming. And a big crouton which softens quickly sitting atop that onion-y broth and a thick layer of ooey gooey gruyere completely melted onto the toast, so as you took a bite of that cheese-y crouton a huge cheese pull ensued. Messy, hearty, satisfying. Probably THE best French Onion Soup I've had, and I've had it from many French bistros. Crisp Skin Salmon ($30/4*) Okay the salmon part was perfectly executed. Interior of the salmon was tender and moist, and the skin was crazy crispy like potato chip crispy. I love when chefs leave the skin on fish dishes and even more impressive when they can elevate it. Very simply seasoned that even though I enjoyed the simplicity, I felt it could have had an extra element to make it pop, like some herbs or a light sauce of some sort. This salmon sat atop some risotto that was heavily mingled with fresh corn. I think they took fresh corn, pureed it until it got all creamy so they basically had creamed corn. Then they used that to enrich the risotto. Great vibrant corn flavor but the rice to me just seemed more like wet rice versus risotto. Also there were just some halved raw grape tomatoes around the dish, which did add a pop of acidity and some color to the dish, but just felt the dish really could have used a significant vegetable component, like chard, broccolini or haricot verts. But still an enjoyable fish dish. Too full for actual dessert so I just had one of their Old Fashioned for a night cap. Theirs has a dab of marmalade to it and does make it fruity sweet. I enjoyed the sips but liked it more after I poured a splash of cold water into the drink, it made it more juicy and not so tight and hot. An awesome find and add to my Sonoma wine country trips. Just good ol fashioned wine country food without getting all tweezerfied and obscure. Fits me well, cheers and see you again!

Where do we start, oh that's right. Let talk about the delicious aroma as soon as you enter their parking lot. You can smell top tier food cooking in the air. The place is packed busy with customers, servers, managers, and hostesses. It is live, upbeat atmosphere yet relaxing and serene. Love the outdoor seating near their coifish pond with floating lotus flowers. It's super busy so if this is where you'd like to sit near- be sure to state that in your reservation. We set reservation online and our table was ready upon arrival. The food- easy 10/10, their butter! Don't know what they put in that thing, but the best butter we've had! The scrumptious lobster tail dipped in that butter will have your eyes rolling back. The filet mignon cooked to perfection was another filling prize on the plate. Along side with mash potatoes and grilled veggies- the dish was over the top satisfying. We had some zero proof cocktails as I'm withchild and they were also really good. The service was super, the managers also walked from table to table to ensure every guest was enjoying their time and meal. Overall, great experience. We look forward to coming back and trying their other delicious items on the menu, or I just might not be able to break away from the surf n turf. We shall see. Highly recommended

Had a chance to retry this restaurant, especially after Stella opened. Food was good, ambience great and service ok. It was a bit breezy outside but what a beautiful setting with the lily pad filled pond and beautiful evening. Service was ok as there were large gaps in service. But they did honor our request for pacing of appetizers, then salads and mains. The baked casino oysters were wonderful and truffle fries good. They even split our salads(which were huge). The seafood pasta was good, filet excellent, blackened snapper good and seafood stew good. We were stuffed and didn't have any room for dessert. Btw the outside chairs are very uncomfortable! The cushions do not extend to the front edge so terribly uncomfortable with the lip cutting into your thighs.

My girlfriend and I celebrated New Year's Eve with a visit to Salt & Stone. This is one of her favorite fine dining experiences. We were greeted by Niambi, a friendly server who has a sense of humor and is easy to communicate with. She was prompt about helping me navigate my dietary restrictions and my girlfriend described her as "charming." I got the Brussel Sprouts, which were perfectly cooked. There was delicious complimentary bread which we ate three plates of, we are ashamed to admit. My girlfriend got the Lobster Bisque and New York Strip. She called them "muy delicioso." The space was a cozy respite from the rainy day. Our table spacious. The lighting was warm. There is a beautiful bar where I will certainly get a drink from next time I come in. We shared the Blood Orange Sorbet, which was a perfect end to a perfect evening.

Along the beautiful drive between Sonoma and Santa Rosa on Highway 12 is Salt and Stone. It was a warm evening and we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view of vineyards and mountains. It's been one of our go to places when we host friends from out of town and this was an amazing meal. Our waitress was extremely nice about giving us time to catch up while we ordered drinks, starters and main entrees at separate times. The peppered burrata and oysters were a great start, the freshness of the oysters as it is nearing the end of the season. The green olive tapenade gave a salty and savory texture with the creamy burrata on a crisp crostini. For mains, the short rib was cooked beautifully, melting in my mouth with just the right amount of fat left on the meat to add flavor and not feel too chewy. The polenta was rich in color with a slightly sweet element that paired well. The sole was breaded to perfection and the filet was flaky. The only thing I'd want to add is a touch more salt on the fish itself as it tasted as though the lemon caper beurre blanc was carrying the flavor of the dish. The Calabrian Linguini was rich with the garlic and herb sauce. The clams were cooked well and there was plenty in there to fill one's appetite. We had no room for dessert unfortunately, but we were satisfied with a great meal as always.

So this was the $13 Caesar.  Before I touched it.  Both were the same size.

My family swears the food is great but so far not my experience. My wife went with them a month ago, and couldn't cut her pork chop. This time my steak was so like warm the butter didn't melt, and the "salad" was roughly $2 per piece of lettuce. I wanna like it, but so mid. The quality of the steam was pretty disappointing, tons of huge fat chunks I had to cut out

We stopped by for lunch after visiting Pine Ridge and a great spot. We sat outside in the patio area and it was perfect because it was such a beautiful day. We started off with the charcuterie board and then ordered our mains. No complaints about the food, everything was perfect and the pond in the background was such a treat. The koi fishes were beautiful. The service was a tad bit slow but we were in any rush.

Great happy hour menu, delicious, reasonably priced, pretty restaurant , plenty of outdoor seating. We were heading to Healdsburg for wine tasting and came here and lucked out on happy hour (11-5 pm M-F) and ordered from their happy hour menu which was pretty amazing. One thing I would say with sitting outdoors was there were plenty of flies and gnats that became overwhelming at times and annoying (even with the help of a fly fan). I did ask for water a couple of times and never got and they might've forgotten. I would also recommend that the server be more mindful about clearing empty plates from the table to create more space when bringing out new food.

What time is brunch served on saturdays? What time is lunch and then dinner?

Dinner on Sunday starts at 5:00 PM currently. Brunch starts at 11:00 AM currently. Salt and Stone is a hit and miss at times. Usually good service, good food. Nothing outstanding.

Is there covered patio dining in the case of rain?

Yes there is, enjoy!

Hello Luda, thanks for your inquiry. Happy Hour is available Mon - Fri 2:30 - 5:30 in both the Bar and the outdoor Bar Veranda.

Corkage fee is $18.00 dollars per bottle. We were there just a few weeks ago.

Are they dog friendly?

Yes. Outdoor patio only. Leashed at all times.

Steve, the owner and chief bottle washer, answered the phone and scheduled a last minute tasting. 30 min later we pulled in to his property. He has a small but personal tasting room that makes you feel like you are a a friends place. Much of a positive wine tasting experience is the interaction with the owner/ operator/server and Steve is the trifecta of all 3. Great sense of humor and the perfect host. We fell in love with the wines at the first sip! His cool weather Syrahs are the best I've ever had. We have been members there ever since and always look forward to his amazing member parties that his amazing wife Heather, Steve's boss, puts together.

It's a fun place with a lot of local products incorporated and history displayed on the walls. Our wine expert for this visit is a local man who works part time at Seamus on the weekends. He was able to teach us a bid about the local area, and was very educated on the artistic process behind the shamus product, including the artwork and labels for the wines , he had all three of our taste for the afternoon already pre-poured, which helped the time go quicker. They have a nice patio area in the back, and even had a lemon tree growing out there.

The history of this winery can be traced back to the 1920s, when a rich mining family moved west from Michigan and purchased the land where it sits on. The winery business actually started in the 1970s by several businessmen from the San Joaquin Valley. 50+ years later, it remains one of the more recognizable names in the NorCal wine industry. I got here with my buddy David A. and his wife at around 4:15pm. The first thing that struck me was the tranquility. I was dealing with a major protest in my city that morning, so the peacefulness was truly appreciated by me. Aside from that, nature's beauty was on full display. The sky was blue, the hills were green, and the temperature was a perfect 72F. Sarah couldn't have asked for a better day to have her wedding! The ceremony was held in a covered area near the chateau, with seating set up for 100-150 guests. After the ceremony, a pre-reception cocktail party was held in the courtyard area. After about an hour or so, the dinner reception was held under the giant palm tree. The food and service for the entire event were fantastic. From appetizers to main course to desserts, the food was well prepared and delicious. Service provided by the staff was friendly and attentive. There were a couple minor hitches during the reception, but they resolved them quickly. Chateau St. Jean is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. As a non-drinker, I don't know enough about their wine to have an opinion on their quality, but I think you will really enjoy the serene setting.

There was a tasting menu that consisted of five wines. The two wines I enjoyed were the Checkerbloom Rosé, which after tasting became my favorite rosé, and Merlot Cuvee. During this visit I didn't purchase any wine because there was another winery we were visiting for a tasting menu. At that winery I preferred one of their red wines over the Merlot Cuvee from Deerfield. However I really loved the Checkerbloom Rosé. When I came home I ordered Checkerbloom Rosé online through Deerfield. I wasn't sure when I was going back to Deerfield. As I really like their one wine I wasn't driving to Deerfield just for the Checkerbloom Rosé. About the last couple of months I've been receiving emails from Deerfield Ranch Winery about the @Rose 2023 was soon to be sold out as it was selling for $10. I'm not going to order wine that I never tasted before. Before going to Deerfield I had to check online if the Checkerbloom Rosé was still available. Apparently it wasn't. Also the @Rose 2023 wasn't $10 anymore. On a hunch I decided to go to Deerfield. I went to Deerfield last week on a Sunday. As I entered the cave I went to the cash register. One of the workers Ben approached me. I asked him if @Rose 2023 was still $10. He answered yes. I also asked if the Checkerbloom Rosé was still available. He showed me the bottle. I decided to buy the Checkerbloom Rosé. Before buying I asked Ben if I could take a sip this rosé. It was sweet. Ben replied the @Rose 2023 is sweeter than the Checkerbloom Rosé, which is drier. I decided to buy three bottles of @Rose 2023 at $10 each. There are certain wineries that have specialties. For me during my two visits at Deerfield their rosés are better than from other wineries I've tasted.
