We've always loved Allikai's sandwiches so we decided to try other dishes for a catered lunch that we picked up. All I can say is we've introduced eight other folks to Allikai that cannot wait to have another meal prepared by them. The charcuterie board was not only the prettiest one we've ever seen but it was absolutely delicious. Same with their signature potato salad and shitake ceviche (both unique and outstanding). Of course we also had to have their sandwiches - either the veggie or the butifarra. Our guests were delighted, surprised and very, very full! Allikai is a "must" choice of food in our city of Sonoma!

Amazing food here! Brought my dad, who was visiting from out of town, neither of us have had Peruvian style food before so this was a first! My dad ordered the special, Allikai BLT & I ordered a rice bowl & added pork belly. We were both left speechless by how good the food was so much flavor! Service is friendly & it's cool that you can see into the kitchen as they're prepping your food. The inside is very clean & fresh unfortunately they are unable to seat anyone inside for dine in but they have a cute picnic table outside where you can enjoy your food. Definitely a must try!

In town for work and this place seemed perfect for a quick bite. Young guy greeted me and offered to answer questions regarding the menu. I went with the popular Butifarra sandwich and it was sooo good. Only downside, no restrooms. Was able to enjoy their picnic area outside.

Delicious sandwiches. Such fresh bread! This is our second time with takeout from Allikai and both times exceeded our expectations!

Don't let this place fool you. Stop and go in. I was taken aback when I entered as it didn't seem like a typical eatery. However, the staff present greeted us right away and answered all my questions regarding what they offered there. They were very pleasant, professional, and welcoming. I ordered the Butifarra Sandwich and it was spectacular! Everything about that sandwich was perfection. Buen provecho!

So happy to see Sonoma got a Peruvian eatery instead of the usual Mexican restaurant or tasting room! They offer sandwiches, salads, soup, rice bowls, ceviche, charcuterie plates, and desserts. Walking in you are greeted by a wall of bright colors and fun Peruvian music. It's clean, open and you can see the kitchen staff working their magic thru the 2 wall entries. A kind gentleman welcomed me in, explained the menu and said they cure their meats in house. Out of the 2 sandwiches I was considering, he suggested the Butifarra. He did not steer me wrong, it was phenomenal!!! Served on a fresh ciabatta roll, smeared with a delicious garlicky aoli, a heap of fresh thinly sliced ham (jamon) that will melt in your mouth, pickled shallots and lettuce. Every bite was a party in my mouth! They have a bench out front to enjoy your lunch, he mentioned they'd be adding more w umbrellas which will be nice to traffic watch and enjoy the fresh air. Prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly! Looking forward to my next visit!

The fish was fried crispy outside with perfect salt and pepper seasoning. The inside was juicy and fresh. The sauce came with plenty of seafood like scallops and calamari. While I was eating it, I already think of ordering this dish again next time!! The empanadas is yummy. The pastry wasn't doughy which is exactly I like. The green sauce came with it definitely made it even better. The short rib and bean dish was good. I like the seasoning and think it would go well with lamb too. The short rib was a little dry to me but the overall taste is still good. I'm definitely looking forward to get the whole fish again and try different dishes!

A bright and clean space with understated decor. Portions are good so you might want to skip appetizers though we tried the Calamari which was good and the Yuca Frita was sublime. Small wine list with good choices from South America and if you order by the glass you will be amazed at the size of the pours; double what one would normally get! Two of us had the Paella which was very good, a third ordered the excellent Lamb Shank and the fourth had the top notch Pork Rib platter which completely disappeared very quickly. Perhaps next time we'll try the Ceviche as we will return if they can remain in business with such little traffic. While not inexpensive the value is solid as you would pay far more in any other good Sonoma County restaurants for similar dishes. Polite if a bit shy service but man did she light up when we went head over heels over her family home made hot sauces which are a "must try" if you have an appropriate appetizer. Ask for them as they bring you tasty but not too spicy standard condiments. Oh, and very clean restrooms and well paced food serving times. Keep this place open, try it sooner vs later.

Ambience is ok, they have some Peruvian decor. Nice tables and silverware and plates. They have a good sized menu. Food was the surprise. I expected it to be different but it was quite tasty. We shared the empanadas 1 each - beef, chicken, pork. We also had the sweet plantains and the mango habanero ceviche. The empanadas were a little on the small side but they were delicious. The mango habanero ceviche was really just cooked shrimp with a mango habanero sauce and pickled red onions. There was also a dried plantain chip on top. Though I was expecting a more traditional ceviche, it was really tasty. The sweet plantains were excellent, just what you expect with more onions and a sour cream type sauce. The service was quick but not intrusive. Would definitely come back.

wow. this is one of the best meals I've had in sacramento in years…read more this place is located on 16th street, so there isn't great parking. I had to find a metered spot on the street and walk a bit to get here, but I'm glad I did bc I was very pleasantly surprised with how tasty the food was. I dropped by for a weeknight dinner, and it was pretty slow. The restaurant is fairly spacious, but most of the tables were open. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. DRINK - Chicha morada: I've never had this before. It's non-alcoholic. It's a purple drink made from purple corn, pineapple, cinnamon, & cloves, and it's delicious! definitely give it a try. And, you get a very nice, tall glass of it. - Pisco sour: a finely crafted cocktail. I've had this drink a few times before elsewhere, and it's a good one. It brings the sweetness & tanginess, and while you can definitely taste the alcohol, but it's not overbearing. FOOD - ceviche anconero (white fish LDT, red onions, peruvian corn, sweet potato): a solid ceviche. the peruvian corn was great with it; they were sorta like sweetened corn nuts. there was a nice spice to the marinade. - lomo saltado (wok-fired beef tenderloin, soy, tomato, onion, fries, rice, fried egg): this was amazing. I've had this dish elsewhere, and it's always a winner. the onions and tomatoes were perfectly cooked. the onions were cooked just enough so they retained their crunch without just being raw. I guess my one minor criticism is that I could've used more fries. but.. definitely get this. - black seafood rice (creamy squid ink rice, grilled head-on prawns, mussels, calamari, roasted peppers, aji amarillo butter, cilantro oil, grilled lemon): wow.. another great dish. unlike the lomo saltado, which I've eaten before elsewhere, I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but it was just as tasty. I really don't think I could pick a definite favorite between the two dishes. the rice is kinda porridge-like and is enrobed in the seafood goodness. The shellfish was nicely cooked & not rubbery. the portion size is pretty big & bc it's a rice dish, it's very filling. this dish (like the lomo saltado) do lean on the salty side, but I do like my salt..... I have had lomo saltado where I've felt it's gotten too salty after eating it a while, but it (and the black seafood rice) didn't get my palate to the point of being over-salted. I will definitely return at some point. And, I'm happy to know that they also have a location out in Roseville as well.

I found myself in downtown Santa Rosa doing an errand at 2:30, hadn't had lunch and was starving…read more I wandered around 4th street and came upon Warike, saw that it had tables outside, which looked delightful as we are having a bit of a false spring, and decided to try it. I also was very curious about Peruvian ceviche. Mexican-style ceviche is one of my favorite things and I make it a lot, but had never had Peruvian ceviche. It seemed like the perfect lunch. The restaurant is really beautiful inside, with wood and stone and earthy colors. The place settings are all very nice handcrafted ceramics and the bar was a giant wooden fancy installation. During the day it was very quiet, but with all the hard surfaces, I imagine it was pretty boisterous at night. I told the waitperson that I was interested in ceviche and whether he had recommendations. He pointed me towards the ceviche carretillero (cart ceviche), which he said also had their house ceviche, fried calamari, fried yucca and plaintains and that it would be more substantial for a lunch. I later looked up "ceviche carretillero" and found out that in Peru, a street food was ceviche topped with crunch fried calamari and that it was very popular and served out of carts! The preparation was lovely, with a pile of their fish of the day, which was a type of cod, in the middle with shredded onions on top. surrounding it was fried calamari, sweet potato, yucca, and extremely thin and beautifully fried plaintain strips. He offered to pour the small pitcher of Sangre de tigre on top and I agreed. Sangre de tigre is the marinade used to "cook" the fish. It is different than Mexican ceviche!! While not spicy with chiles, it was spicy with ginger and I don't know what else. It hits your throat, not your palate, which I thought was so interesting. I would not say it was "hot spicy", but I did cough a bit when I swallowed! It was very good! The fish was cut into fairly big rough pieces so you could really taste it. The calamari was excellent, as were the yucca and plaintain. I used the plaintain like I would fried tortillas in a Mexican ceviche, and using it almost like a spoon. I don't know if that was proper or not, but it worked for me! The Yucca would have been perfect with some mojo sauce, but that's a Cuban thing. I wonder if their is a comparable Peruvian sauce? The portion was generous and perfect for someone who came to lunch hungry. I really enjoyed my little middle of the day splurge lunch!
