Shawarma fries had great seasoning but were definitely mushy, and we didn't let them sit around as we were starving. Burger was fabulous! Maybe it was just a bad day? But you'd think a shawarma place like this wouldn't run out of pita. Maybe they should double fry the fries so they don't congeal. $70 bill, not cheap. If I go back I'll stick to plain fries and the burger, skip dips and shawarma fries.

The plate was ready in 3 minutes. The falafel was good, adequately spiced, not too oily, and nicely textured. Nothing else was all that interesting. The spiced rice was nice but bland; same with the potato. The tabouleh was decent; the house salad was lame. The hummus was fine. Overall, I was definitely full, but there was nothing special about the plate. Okay spot for an inexpensive, quick meal.

The toum was really good, but that did not make up for everything else going on. They get a second star from me because when I ordered I also bought a bottle of their ayran to drink later, and that did end up being pretty good, so I feel my rating should acknowledge that there was something that wasn't a complete miss. Return or not return?…read more Return, but.... Had combo plate, chicken bowl, schwarma pide. Liked both the meat and chicken, but rest of family thought the chicken was too dry. Other issue with chicken is it had skin and chunks of fat that detracted from the experience. Disliked the fact they charged to have sauce on the side vs in the food. Not cool. Menu also confusing between a platter and bowl. I was confused and literally a minute later another customer came in and asked the same question I did. What's the difference? Garlic sauce a little runny, but good. Liked their hot sauce. It's very vinegar-y and hot all at once. Pricing a bit on high side, but then again it's Vancouver.

The food can be had either in shawarma form ($8), or in plate form (shawarma with sides such as rice) ($15 or so). They must be making a killing here. The place is a bit slow to make the food, but the quality is decent. However, the sauce is a bit on the liquidy side. I ended up making a mess when my lunch leaked. Not sure if anyone cares, but they have gluten free options. Worth trying once, but the price makes me hesitant to come by too often.
