I grabbed whatever ingredients i want , chose the broth and unlimited sauce at the side.

Big Way Hot Pot is one of my favourite go-to spots in Coquitlam. You pick your ingredients ٫fresh meats, seafood, veggies, noodles ٫and they cook it all for you. The variety is great and the Tom Yum broth is absolutely delicious. Pricing is by weight so you stay in control of your bill. On top of that, you get a complimentary drink and free green tea ice cream at the end ٫such a nice touch! Staff are friendly, the place is clean, and they're open late. Highly recommend!

Tasty hot pot! Love the spicy mala tang. Affordable meal with ice cream afterwards. Beef and pork were fresh and so were the veggies. I love the mochi as well.

First time at this popular hot pot place and our experienced was very good. Our waiting time is reasonable since we booked at their online waiting list feature. I loved their concept where you pay what you pick and eat from many selections of meat, seafoods and veggies. I chose the Collagen broth and was very happy with it. The soup gets cold faster so you better eating it fast while you can. I wish they served it with a hotplate to prolong the hotness of the soup. They also give you a free ice cream in cone wafer for dessert. I will definitely go back here and this place is highly recommended for people craving hot soup on cold months.

Never get the dry szechuan, overly salty and overcooked

Only good thing abt this location is late night eats since there's not much open passed 9pm in Coquitlam. However, not a fan of the male server with the long hair. When I wanted to move to a booth he told me I couldn't and had to sit in the table which I didn't appreciate since the booth was enough for two people and our food hasn't arrived yet. There were two booths and some tables already available. The other male servers were much kinder providing a new water pitcher each time ours went low and was much friendlier. The dry szechuan was gross. Overly salty and everything was overcooked, making the instant noodles inedible.

I usually go to the Burnaby Happy Lamb location for the dinner buffet at double the price, but honestly this one might have converted me to do lunches instead. The food selection is very good and you can get your own selection of veggies off of the trays on the side. The pork, chicken, and garlic beef are also available on the side. You have to order the beef and lamb separately with the wait staff. This is much better than trying to have the kitchen staff guess how much of each item you want and getting it wrong. The sauces are also available. There are alot of choices, including sesame paste, fermented tofu, sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, salt, sugar, green onions, and coriander. The interior of the restaurant is not as nice as the Burnaby location and overall feels less luxurious. The bathrooms were kind of sketchy. The female one had three stalls, one with a broken lock, one that was totally out of order, and a third one that was somewhat functional but had no handle to open the door from the outside. There was also no paper towels.

There is also some dimsum like custard buns and eggs tart, along with a typical dipping sauce bar. The bone broth soup base and quality of the meat is pretty good. The seafood is not top notch, but decent enough for all you can eat. At the end of the meal, you can get some soft serve ice cream in a cone or cup. I like the ube and vanilla swirl cone. Dinner price is $53 before tax and tip per person. Not cheap, but cheaper than going to Dolar Shop or Haidilao, and you'll definitely leave full.

Bossam is served with a fun variety of sides like tofu, pickles, and radish. Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

Place was very clean and color scheme was a lot like "Fish with You" (fish pot restaurant at crystal mall ). Service was very quick - got a table on a weekend afternoon instantly. They do have a minimal order weight of 1LB/19.99 / so this might be the reason why some stated this place is expensive, and it could be if you're a small eater seeking the $10-15 pots. In terms of selection - I don't think they have that large of a selection compared to say Big Way - I felt like there was less of everything. The Fried Egg here was a disaster and don't recommend / it was very dry. Broth selection was mid , tried the #1 spicy broth , apparently most popular among customers - the medium level spicy was alright - you can taste the gentle numbing of the peppercorns, however it still lacked intensity , maybe I should got max heat.
