Took advantage of the $1 soup base and AYCE for kids recently. You get to choose from pork bone, tomato, and spicy for the $1 soup base. The sauce, snacks, and dessert bar is always amazing as I love the fruits and jellies they offer there. The pork and beef are my go-to's. Service is great as they provide high chairs for the little, aprons for everyone, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars after the meal. We were celebrating a birthday so they even plated our birthday cakes nicely, with candles, decorations, and a small happy birthday sign! All for no extra charge! Free parking is available at a nearby parkade and there are lots of tables available.

First time visiting The Dolar Shop and we had a great dining experience. The wait was quite long even thought we had a reservation, but the hostess gave us complimentary bean curd and unlimited ice cream as compensation for the extra wait. The service was outstanding and food was good. A bit on the pricey side if ordering from the à la carte menu but it is worth it if you are craving individual hotpot. The presentation was great and we love that everyone gets their own broth choices!

Came during happy hour which began at 9 pm on a Saturday evening. My cousin took the liberty of ordering for us all. I got half regular and half spicy. The veggies and meat that came with our order were more than enough for our party of 4. The veggies were fresh and were a great compliment to the soup and meat. I like that they have a bar for the sauces and some sides. The ice cream in the end was a great finishing touch to our meal. It was a great dinner considering how cold it was the night we came. I'd definitely stop by again when I am in town. Great service and food!

First time here and tried their a la carte menu. Ordered 2 beefs, 1 snake fish, a few veggies, cocktails and some noodles for a total of $105. I think that it was on the pricy side considering that all you can eat at their sister restaurant chocho would be the same price.

I usually go to Haidilao but this place is definitely a contender for my favourite hotpot restaurant. We came for their lunch combos that range from 38-45$ per person. We also ordered their plum juice. My favourite part was their unlimited rice and noodle refills. The noodles are so good! I also loved their ice cream cones and ice jelly bar. The combos are definitely more than enough food even for a big eater like me. The combos are definitely cheaper than just ordering ala carte. The service was very attentive and although restaurant was very busy the sauce bar was always stocked and clean. Will definitely be back if in the area.

Love the individual hotpot's and you can choose your own soup bases - I went for pork and tomato broth which is so delicious! We shared the beef, seafood, and wagyu platter. The hand-drawn noodles were the best and it was unlimited. Service was so amazing, they always came by to fill our broth & water. Also they provide unlimited fruits and dessert bar and you can make your own sauce too. The restaurant was pretty spacious, and I recommend making a reservation otherwise the wait may be long.

Consistent with a great lunch deal. They offer a $40 set lunch before 5pm. You can choose between vegetarian set, beef set, Wagyu set or seafood set. Each set comes with a plate of veggies as well. During the lunch special, you're also allowed to have food from the snack bar, dessert and an ice cream cone after your meal. Service is always great, but they can't split the bill properly. We had to get a couple of different bills on the side. Another note is if you pay by cash or debit, you don't need to pay the additional fee.

The service here is always top tier. They offer bibs and hair ties if you need and are always happy and ready to help. The food quality is also always great and I love the unlimited dessert bar and sauce bar. Ps they also have unlimited ice cream at the end! As you can see, I quite enjoyed the dessert bar. Don't worry if things run out either too! Because staff frequently check on the inventory and restock items at the dessert and sauce bar! It does get quite busy here especially at this location so I would recommend you reserve a table in advance if you have a big group or don't want to wait.

The meat and skin of the wing was crispy and juicy. The fried rice was a bit too moist for my taste, and there're green peas in the fried rice which I don't like. But it's just my personal preference. Overall, it was pretty good. I also tried their Hong Kong style milk tea. The taste and texture were quite authentic. The server was friendly. The restaurant was clean and decorated with Hong Kong old movie posters. I appreciated the owner's love for Hong Kong culture.

The food came out pretty quickly too, and we were very thankful lol. We ordered 2 stuffed chicken wings to try/share - the corn cheese one, and the cumin lamb rice one. It is a very interesting concept of stuffed chicken, and I am not sure I would re-order this again. I liked my cumin lamb rice one, but I wish there was more cumin and lamb flavour, and less rice. I would DEFINITELY come back to have their tomato beef noodle dish again. It was so homey, and the flavours really hit. The stew sauce tasted like a great mix of Asian and Western flavours. I don't really know how to describe it, but I was slurping this down so quickly. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly. I kept telling my partner how I wanted to learn how to cook this myself at home but was unsure how to replicate the flavours, hehe.

The first thing that struck me was…read morehow incredibly busy it was--I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a restaurant this packed. It was well capped and clean. They had tables inside outside on a patio and even on the boulevard on the grass they created another space for people to eat. It looks like they need to expand! We didn't have reservations and ended up waiting about an hour, but the food made the wait worthwhile. I ordered the pho special of the day and it was excellent. It was spicy and noticeably different from other pho I've had. The broth had a very rich, deep flavour and something unique about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but I really enjoyed it. I was also impressed that they served fresh culantro, which I had never seen served with pho before. My only small criticism was the amount of bean sprouts provided. There were two of us sharing the accompaniments, but the portion looked more like what I would normally expect for one person. I'm sure they would have brought more if we had asked, though. The servers were very pleasant despite how busy the restaurant was. There was a bit of confusion with the waitlist--they told us they would call us when our table was ready, but after checking back several times, they couldn't find our name and the system showed that we had already been seated when we hadn't. That was frustrating after such a long wait, but I wouldn't let it overshadow the overall experience. The food was excellent, the flavours were memorable, and I can understand why Lunch Lady is Michelin-recommended. I will definitely be back and highly recommend giving it a try--just make a reservation if you can!

The environment is supper casual with some bar seating, some indoor as well as patio seating. I stopped by here with a relative, and he has a tomato allergy. Vietnamese coffee - ($7 CAD = $5 USD) - While the coffee was strong it definitely tasted premade. The other thing I didn't like is that I watched the server prepare our drinks and he filled one glass completely with ice, and the other half filled. So the one filled with ice had a lot less coffee. Softshell crab fritters ($26 CAD = $18.57 USD) - This consisted of lettuce, 3 pieces of fried crab, and a cilantro dipping sauce. Crispy with tender pieces of crab meat, this dish tasted great with the dipping sauce. Steak luc lac - ($36 CAD = $25.71 USD) - This came with 6 oz. of steak prepared medium rare, a side salad, and some rice with a fried egg. I wasn't impressed with the steak at all, it wasn't very good and it was served with some peppercorn sauce, but they were extremely stingy with the sauce. The rice was a little dry. My relative has a tomato allergy and yet they served his salad with the tomatoes. Overall I wasn't impressed with the food here here. They were stingy with the drinks and sauce. They definitely need to pay attention to people's allergies when it's brought to their attention. The items here are over priced as well. I don't get the hype here.

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.
