I really appreciated the staff accommodating my family and niece when we came in. It was a kind gesture to change the playlist to a kids one (we didnt ask they did it!) and I was really grateful for it. Michi was previously popularly known for its stuffed chicken wings. The stuffed chicken wings were good and interesting. It didn't feel like much meat so to speak but also I get that it's stuffed so it was pretty filling. We ordered the devils bowl (bbq pork and eggs on rice) and the beef noodles. The rice bowl was satisfying and the noodles were a bit of a pass in our opinion. I'd love to try their noodle bowls next time if we end up going but I wouldn't necessarily make an out of my way trip there. Service was great but food was just ok!

I've never had stuffed chicken wings before so this was an experience! You can choose to have your chicken wing stuffed with fried rice or glutinous rice and it comes with a sauce to match the flavour you choose. The chicken wing came out looking much bigger and tastier than usual. The meat was moist and I'd definitely get it again but they are pricy at $5+ each. The curry omurice was okay. I think the rice could have been seasoned more but with the curry sauce it balanced out. If you're a fan of fusion cuisine, try Michi out!

My friend and I came for an early dinner on Tuesday around 5:30. It's a small restaurant with 4-5 tables, and we were the only ones dining in for a while. We shared a couple items: Original stuffed chicken wing ($6.90) - they had a couple of stuffed wing flavors, but we opted for the original. They are quite pricey, so I'm glad we shared one. The original was pretty good, and the sticky rice inside had a slightly sweet peanut flavor. Aburi pork rib ($9) - my least favorite dish from the whole meal. The pork was tender but not flavorful enough, especially on the inside. They use some kind of sweet marinade for the outside flavoring that I found too sweet. Tomato beef omelette rice ($16) - hands down my favorite part of the whole meal. The beef was tender and the tomato sauce on the side went SO well with the egg and the fried rice. I also got the Hong Kong bear milk tea ($5.99), and it was almost too cute to drink! It's a lot for one person to drink though, especially in the evening, so I recommend splitting it.

Second time coming here and I forgot how much they stuff the chicken wing. I remember seeing photos of this place the first time I came here and first thought was like "How?!?! How do you magically fit fried rice into this thing?!?!" Somehow, they figured it out. Ordering just one seems kind of pricey considering if I were to order fried chicken wings elsewhere, I would get the bang for my buck. But this is more for the experience and to indulge my curiosity. Like seriously, how?!?!?! I ordered the sticky rice this time and my friends tried out the original and cheesy rice as well. The sticky rice included sausage and egg inside the wing and I'm like okay sure, you are telling me you can stuff a whole boiled egg into the chicken wing along with a piece of sausage and sticky rice?! GTFO out of here! When they brought the utensils and napkin and disposable gloves, I was quickly reminded how hot the wing would be to hold. Definitely recommend either letting it cool down or wrap the end your holding with the lettuce piece. Definitely took a while to lift it up and I eventually made my giant first bite. Lo and behold, I ate into the sausage, sticky rice, and holy crap... I tasted and felt an egg! May not have been a chicken egg (maybe a quail egg?), but it tasted like an egg still. Quite good, worth the price? I don't know. But I did come back here to do it again so maybe? One was good enough to make a good snack or appetizer. I would love to maybe order 5 or 6 and be charged $25. That would be reasonable for me to have it like a meal. Being about close to $7 right now, I don't know. Once for sure. They do stuff that wing to a point where it's abnormal for a chicken to have such a swole wing. I say check it out yourself at least once and determine whether it's worth it yourself to come back. Also they have a cute milk tea drink with a brown iced teddy. Instagram-able for sure.

The reason we came here was for the wings. You gotta admit, they're Insta-worthy. But I was sad to come to realization that looks were all they had going for them. Rather dry, under seasoned. The saving grace, however, was the omelette rice! If I came back, it would be for the tornado omelette on rice with either the curry or the tomato sauce! Very tasty and highly recommend. Please order this when you're here, it'll be the highlight! Parking is a little awkward because it's small and shared with other businesses, but there are plenty of spots on the streets surrounding the building.

Small Asian fusion restaurant located at the Boundary Plaza, and opens daily from 11;30 am to 9;30 pm. Delivery and pick up only but up to this date their website says dine in as well..... Parking here is difficult, its either free street parking but busy, or few spots infront the restaurant courtesy of the building but also busy...but there is underground parking under the Plaza $2.20/hour plus tax. Pricing? a bit pricey for a piece of stuffed wing will cost you $5.99 + tax, but the pasta pricing is about right and worth. I got the popular order stuffed wing with sausage eggyolk rice, well to be honest in my mind it is wing but looking at the wing bloated with filling it looks like a frog or a part of dinosour body...puffy....Taste wise...I am not impressed....$5.99 per piece nahhhhhhhhh....... I also ordered the squid ink pasta, this one was really superb dish, black color noodle due to squid ink and very creamy sauce comes with mixed seafoods and big prawns. If you get to visit the place I recommend this item.. messy on lips and stained teeth temporarily but delish, yummy 100% your taste buds will be happy and satisfied.... Average service but not bad, busy place a lot of customers picking up orders....The wings waiting time is approximately 15 minutes....freshly cook for you.... I need to revisit the place so i would hit on other pasta in the menu but definitely not the stuffed wing... Accept cash/debit/ and credit...neat place no washroom for clients....

Okay. Starting off with the Omelette Rice w Curry Chicken. The first bite seemed a bit ~ehh. I guess I was expecting some explosion but as I ate a few more bites, mmm they're good it wasn't too spicy which I liked so I was able to enjoy about half the dish before having to stop it tastes as expected, curry flavoured but it was very creamy, chicken were nicely cooked and the egg omelette was Also - shoutout to the staff who told me I wouldn't taste the onions - and I really didn't! (I've had places tell me I wouldn't notice but I did and I turned ). This time tho - I honestly forgot there's onion in it! I got the rest packed up cause it's too good to not have it again Next, rice noodles with mixed sauces. Since I was sharing it with my mom, I asked for the hot sauce on the side. I quite enjoyed it; rice noodles were soft with plenty of flavour! I dipped some hot sauce and it was a bit too much for me but I kept going back for more cause it was good The teddy bear milk tea it did felt a bit anticlimactic after I poured the milk tea into the ice (took a video which will be shown later on!). Since the tea was hot, I had to wait a bit for it to cool down in the ice before I could drink (otherwise it would be this awkward lukewarm temp ). Another dish but not shown was the Boiled Bok Choy My mom wanted a veggie dish so we got this but unfortunately she didn't like it so I didn't want to post a pic of it we prefer our veggies more soft and tender so this dish wasn't meant to be ‍ Overall, I quite enjoyed our experience. They're famous for their stuffed chicken which I wasn't in the mood for so that shall wait for next time!

A pretty small restaurant on Kingsway and Boundary but has some interesting dishes! The milk tea bear was super cute but the milk tea flavor wasn't very strong. Had to try their michi stuffed wings since they're their speciality. I got combo d which comes with two, a salad, corn, and soft drink. I tried the spicy wing which was stuffed with rice and the cheese corn wing which was stuffed with corn. They're super filling! Could've been more flavourful but it was interesting how they really stuffed the wings. My friends also got the omelette rice, which were quite tasty and well portioned.

We paid our first visit here with the thought that this is a sushi joint because the name "Michi" is so Japanese... it actually pronounced from a Mandarin word meaning sticky rice stuffed wings 雞米翅. With only 2 young waitress serving 7 table which seats 20 people, got one washroom, the menu is kinda limited, and not the best affordable price.. However, I would still give a 4 rating, simply because the food is really delicious and I like the menu idea is pretty innovative. I sure would come back to try the next dish - BBQ Pork on rice...

The stuffed chicken wings are pretty amazing. This is the second time back and the wings are great. The Sticky Rice stuffed wing was my favourite. I tried to make it myself and it is not the same so I come here for it.

I came across this creative, asian comfort food restaurant when I saw a picture of their squid ink noodles on instagram. I would say that another signature dish of theirs are the michi stuffed chicken wings. Here are my thoughts. [Items Tried] *Must Try* Squid Ink Spaghetti on Seafood White Sauce - $12.69 (4/5) Taste: I rarely come across squid ink noodles and when I do, it's quite pricy. I was happily surprised that these noodles were quite al dente, flavourful, and the sauce was the perfect amount to enhance but not overpower the flavour of the noodles. Be careful when you eat this though as it will make your mouth black and inky! The prawns accompanied with the noodles were average and lacked freshness. Portion Size: Good portion size for 1 person. Green Sauce Pasta (with Lemongrass Chicken) - $12.69 (4/5) Taste: The pesto noodles were delicious as well, accompanied with chicken that tasted like it was made with asian flavours (more of a soya sauce based chicken). The chef does a good job with not making the noodles too saucy. Portion Size: Good portion size for 1 person. Michi Chicken Wing (Stuffed with Original Corn Rice/Chinese Style Sausage Sweet Rice) - $5.69 (3/5) Taste: Personally I thought that the concept of rice stuffed inside a chicken distracts from the meaty taste of the chicken and there was almost too much rice stuffed inside. However, I did like the chinese style sausage sweet rice chicken as it was a better compliment so if you were to try this, pick that one. Portion Size: Very filling stuffed chicken, one per person for an appetizer size. I thought the pricepoint for one chicken wing was a bit much. [Value for Money] The noodles are worth trying at this place as the prices are reasonable and as a fan of squid ink noodles, I'd come back probably just for that.

Omelette Rice with Tomato Beef Stew / $12.69

What would you do when you only have a bowl of rice, an egg, and some meat in your fridge? A rice bowl with a sunny-side up egg? Sometimes, adding creativity to some simple ingredients like these can create the most delicious comfort food. Michi Craft Kitchen, a newly opened restaurant on Kingsway, features a simple menu with delectable options, such as squid ink spaghetti and omelette rice. There are many attractive items on the menu, and we really enjoyed the Omelette Rice with Tomato Beef Stew.It may look simple, but it is hard to master. A plate of white rice is wrapped in a silky, perfectly cooked egg omelette. It is then covered with the tomato beef stew. Small bites of beef is very tender and soft. The stew and the softly-cooked omelette complements each other very well. I think the price is reasonable with its generous portion. I also tried the new item, Minced Pork Rice. It is a smaller portion, but just perfect for me, especially I was still full from my late lunch! You can choose how your egg is cooked, but I think sunny-side up egg is the way to go. Mixing the egg yolk with the rice is my type of comfort food. This rice bowl is covered with minced pork, and I highly recommend you to mix it before eating it! So that you can taste bits of everything in one spoon. I found it less salty compared to other version I tried in Taiwanese restaurant, which is perfect for me. Overall Impression Although the menu is limited with food options, I think "quality over quantity". I really enjoy the service and food here, as my go-to spot for my comfort food crave. The portion is quite huge, so getting one dish along with some michi to share might be a good idea. It is not the cheapest place to eat, but the price is reasonable for the portion. I will return to try other items on the menu! Taste : 4/5 * Service: 4/5 * Ambiance: 4/5 * Quality-Price: 4/5

Stuffed drumsticks, have you tried? It's a Chinese dish that's quite labour intensive. What it is is basically a chicken popsicle with any type of stuffing you choose, typically with rice. At Michi, you get just that and more! However, the chicken becomes a medium and lacks quite a bit of flavour and juices and most flavour comes from the stuffing. Noteworthy dishes to try includes their tomato beef omelette rice and chicken with rice noodles.

Fairly typical looking space, where it's just one big room with multiple tables to maximize the number of guests. We ordered from their Special Combo Set Dinner Menu, so we ended up trying the following: - Beijing Duck: Good. A few interesting notes on this one. First, they actually bring it out to the dining area to slice it for everyone to see, but because the dining area is so packed, they end up slicing it at a side table (or the bar), so there's no real point in doing it at all really. There's also a lot of unrendered fat on the slices, so lots of flavour, but not as carefully prepared as other places. - Duck Lettuce Wrap: OK. Good flavour, but thought it was really wet, which doesn't give a nice texture. - Seafood, Meat and Deep Fried Tofu Hot Pot: Good. Very traditional flavours, and good size - Deep Fried Pork With Spicy Chili Salt: Good. Pork was very tender. the Spicy Salt didn't really stick to the pork though. You sort of had to scoop it up separately and it to each bite to balance the flavours. - Wok Fried Eggplant and Beans: Very good. Fresh eggplant and beans, properly cooked (not too raw or overcooked) and good flavour. Service was actually a bit better than I expected, as the server had a much more outgoing personality than what I normally see in a Chinese restaurant. Other notes I made: - the floor was very slippery. I didn't notice so much going in, but walking out, I could feel my shoes slide across the floor due to the oil/grease buildup. - we sat by the live seafood tank and we noticed there was a leak, which was basically solved but placing a bunch of towels to contain it. Overall, it was good. It get's high points for value, as all the dishes were quite large. Food was generally good quality, and our particular server was quite funny. I wouldn't mind coming back.
