Very vibrantly lit with cool neon signs inside that gave it a funky, fun vibe. The sauce bar isn't extensive (but it's clean) and the bottom part of the menu was super faded. The food selection is good, but not very dietary restriction friendly. No substitutes for anything in the pots, although they are willing to remove things you don't want. Come after 8 pm to add an extra portion of meat for a low price. The upgraded rice with braised pork was delicious. Portion sizes are generous and it's a decent spot for an interesting twist on hot pot. Service was quick and efficient. Paid street parking available.

Food looked so delicious that I ate before my camera.

I'm definitely adding Pot Empire to my list of go-to late-night dining spots. I recommend heading there around 8 pm to take advantage of the discounts on meats. Their portions are really generous, so I opted for the free pork bone chicken soup pot with pork neck (it was absolutely delicious). They're incredibly fast at refilling drinks and have great service. The hanging neon lights make the atmosphere quite unique too.

This just might be my new favourite hot pot restaurant. I loved the combination of foods that came in my Vegetarian set, and was very impressed with the flavor of the broth once I had finished cooking and eating everything on my tray. I've experienced very salty broth at other hot pot restaurants, especially if they refill my pot with more broth instead of plain hot water. Here, they refilled with broth but the soup was still good to drink at the end of evening, and not overly salty. Plus, the meal came with a drink as well as an ice cream cone, and I do love my ice cream! We've been to other hot pot restaurants that are AYCE but I think I prefer having a set meal. It gives me a wide variety of foods, and at the same time it forces me to stop eating whereas with the AYCE hot pots, I have a tendency to overeat and then I just end up feeling ridiculously full to the point where I can't think of anything but my fullness! Service: Good Parking: Free covered parking at the side of the building Location: 4877 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC

I love soupy meals! This individual-style hot pot is perfect for eating out with people who want different ingredients in their pot. The first time I got the 8oz AAA Prime Rib with the original pork bone chicken soup. There was definitely too much meat for me so I ended up giving most of it away. The second time I got the 5oz fatty beef and that was the perfect amount. I also ordered the vegetarian mushroom soup instead and absolutely loved the flavour. It comes with a drink (my default is the yakult green tea), dipping sauce at the sauce station with so many options, veggies, your choice of rice or their special noodles, and ice cream!

Love it when the hotpot spots come with a drink and ice cream!! Got a the Hot Special Pork Bone Chicken Soup Pot + Blade eye slice combo (5oz) + hande-made noodle + milk tea + ice cream all for just $19! They have great portions here, vibrant interior with all of the neon signs, and it was very spacious! I thought the blade eye slices was fresh and the chicken soup was nice and hearty! I was really excited for the noodles since it said hand made noodle on the menu, but I thought the noodles were pretty average and just tasted like udon. I also found the plating situation a little awkward - they placed the individual pots in the middle, and served the meat/veggies/noodles on a big tray right in front of me. Not sure how to optimize it but I found it a little difficult to access the hotpot stove while having the big tray in front. Maybe it'll be a good idea to take everything off the big tray and just have all the plates on the table next time!

I quite like this place and feel it's a great alternative to Gokudo and the like. The pricing is good. They even give you a small bowl of free edamame for a snack. There's a self serve sauce bar for no additional charge! However, my main complaint is that everything feels a little sticky and when we sat down, the chairs and seats feel like it could be cleaner. We had to wipe away a bunch of hairs left behind from prior guests that were semi stuck to the booth seats. Which made me feel a little uneasy during my whole eating experience.

Great intro into Hot Pot if you have never been. Just follow the menu and build your pot with base broth and accompanying ingredient, rice, hand rolled noodles or vermicelli add your protein and veggies and customize! You may develop and enhance your flavour profile with the "sauce station" A drink and ice cream cone is included I'm REALLY love the "neon" market ambiance Service was very attentive. Note you are cooking your pot in front of you so be mindful of young kids Will go again to try different flavours

This popular hotpot place is located on Kingsway where Cattle Cafe used to be. There is a small parking lot around the corner beside CM Chicken. We went early on a weeknight so we didn't need to wait for a table. I heard the line up on weekends is pretty long. They serve individual size hotpot meal. Comparing the price and the food offer, I find Pot Empire offers the best deal compared to Gokudo and Pearl Hot Pot. For $18, you get their chicken and pork bone broth that's already filled with a bunch of food like fish ball, veggies, etc., a plate of meat, small appetizer, a plate of veggie plate, a bowl of rice or noodle, a drink and ice cream! I thought the 5 oz only comes with 6 pieces of meat so I ordered the 8 oz one but I was wrong! There was so much food. There is a sauce bar that you can mix your own sauce as well. The staff comes around often to refill our broth. The only down part is that we felt we were being rushed out. Our empty plates were taken away so fast and when you were almost done they asked if they can turn off the fire to your pot. I think we were in and out in an hour. Overall, Pot Empire is a good place for a quick affordable meal! I highly recommend.

    Bright interior!

Another addition to the already busy hotpot scene in the Metrotown area. This was a pleasant experience and worth the somewhat long wait. Each customer gets their own personal hotpot bowl. You choose your soup base which is either free or a small cost. You also choose your meat or seafood dish then a drink and if you want rice or noodles. You also get a large bowl of various vegetables to cook. There are many variations so you can try different kinds! The servers were very attentive and explained how everything worked so that was cool. We will definitely come back!

Hot pot is my weakness- and this place fulfills my hot pot cravings! Enjoyed everything I had in my set meal, and I feel like they were the first one to offer ice cream? Idk but I just know that it was goood. We made reservations beforehand as this place gets really busy!

Met up with my friends for the holidays at Pot Empire. Great value and great service. We were amazed at all the food that it comes with. Most of us got the free chicken and pork broth. They have a small sauce bar that was sufficient for me. The combos with a free drink that you can get refills for. At the end of the meal they gave us ice cream that I was too full for! My friend helped me eat mine haha. The neon light signs were so cool and gave off a fun and casual ambiance. The restaurant is located just across from Metrotown which made it convenient. I can see this as a great place to revisit!

We stopped by for dinner. Reservations are highly recommended as the restaurant was packed. For hot pot, there was a number of customizable options for the broth, meat, carbs and drink. I picked the house special broth with fatty short plate slice combo, instant noodles and plum juice. I paid extra to upgrade the noodles and drink. There was a self-service sauce bar. I enjoy the individual sized hot pot and the vegetable selection. The meat was decent quality. They also know people like instant noodles and charged accordingly. There was free soup top up as needed. Service was efficient and we were set up fairly quickly. Staff responded quickly to drop off any extra items we ordered. The sauce bar section could be a bit cleaner is my only complaint. Overall, it was a solid meal and is a good individual hot pot option in the area.

Came in on a cold Saturday afternoon had to wait around 10 mins for a table for 4, not too bad! I love the variety of soup options. They even offer one basic soup for free which was great. I got the free pork bone soup with a 5oz fatty short plate, sadly the meat actually had some bones in it. Every combo included veggies, pork ball, tofu, shrimp, bean curd and fish tofu. The combo included a drink and a choice of milk tea, yakult green tea or unsweetened green tea. Also a choice of rice/vermicelli/hand made noodles. Whole set came out to be around $20 so I think it's a great price for the amount of food! Definitely coming back to try the other soups! Oh also they have a free sauce bar!

The seafood is not top notch, but decent enough for all you can eat. At the end of the meal, you can get some soft serve ice cream in a cone or cup. I like the ube and vanilla swirl cone. At one point I ran out of sauce and the server immediately noticed and offered more without me even asking. We ordered the lunch special combo for two ($39.99), which includes two soups, two meats, two sides, two drinks, and dessert. For soups, we chose the preserved duck egg with cilantro and the Malaysian laksa. For meats, we went with two orders of fatty short plate. We upgraded our sides for $1 each and got ground pork on rice. Drinks were milk tea (drink of the day). The laksa soup was very flavorful, while the duck egg cilantro soup was a bit light and watery and could have used more depth. The ground pork rice was really tasty and came with mushrooms, which was a nice touch. For dessert, they only had pistachio Melona available, which unfortunately wasn't my favourite. I rarely eat at all you can eat hot pot places…read morein general. -came on a weekday early afternoon with my friends. -happy lamb had a $19.99 happy hour all you can eat lunch special so we decided to try it out. -We selected the mushroom broth for our hot pot broth. Not a big fan of it. Tastes pretty plain in my opinion. Not bland by any means but it was just ok in terms of taste. -The meat was fine. It wasn't fatty. It tasted like any sliced hot pot meat you can get anywhere. There were lamb, beef, pork, and luncheon meat slices available for this menu. There was a small selection of seafood available as well. I didn't really like the cod paste siu mai. The texture was rubbery and the flavor wasn't that great. The fish tofu, fish roll, and fish balls were fine. They tasted like any other fish balls you can get anywhere. There was also a small selection of vegetables available. The Napa cabbage leaves and winter melon slices were fresh and big. No complaints on the vegetables. The sauce station was vast and everything you could possibly want was there. There were no lines and the station was clean. Some places like Big Way Hot Pot provide simple sauce recipes for beginners, but there were no suggestions here. It would be nice if they added some suggestions because i'm a newbie when it comes to sauce combinations. A very small selection of hot small plate appetizers were available too. They served as appetizers for the hot pot or something more solid in case you want a break from just eating hot pot foods. I wish there was a bigger selection though. For the appetizer buffet area, there were lamb bones with meat in some type of brown and red sauce, the classic vegetable spring rolls with sweet chili sauce, and deep fried mantou, which is basically a kind of crispy fried dough bread with condensed milk. They had a few cold vegetable appetizers like chinese Kelp salad which was slightly spicy, and wood ear mushrooms which were slightly sour. I didn't like either of them. Also, i noticed from past yelp reviews that customers were offered free ice cream. We were not offered any. I guess they discontinued that bonus. As for the service, I don't really have any problems with the service here. The staff were pretty good at refilling the water jug with sliced lemon even though it wasn't really empty. We didn't have to wait long at all for our hot pot ingredients. It all arrived within 10-15 minutes. One little hiccup was that we ordered udon but the staff gave us thin ramen noodles by mistake. Our server changed it to the correct udon noodles after we pointed it out. As for the place itself, it was pretty empty with a couple of solo eaters and a couple tables with families. The dining area was clean and roomy. We were seated at a booth by the window but the blinds were closed since the sunlight was too bright. Washrooms were tucked away far in the corner so it was a bit of a walk but they were clean, not too small, and empty. Overall i would give the food 3 out of 5 because nothing stood out to me. The food was just average all around. The service was fine, but the price was great at $20. In fact, I think $20 per person is by far the cheapest, best value all you can eat hot pot deal in the Vancouver area. So i'll give Happy Lamb Burnaby 4 out of 5 yelp stars overall because its a good value. This is the best bang-for-your-buck AYCE hot pot deal as long as you're okay with their average food quality.

Spicy was traditional Chinese spicy (so pretty spicy) but both are flavorful. The lamb and beef meats were good. The inside was nice and clean. We ordered the Chinese Donut, as we got the last 2 in the buffet style area, but the guy came back and said they are all out. So it seems like they don't make more after a certain point. Parking seems a bit bad. We are not familiar with the area and planned to go to the nearby mall afterwards, so we ended up paying for parking at the mall across the street. From the looks of it, they only really have street parking available. We paid in advanced for the happy hour price before happy hour ended. That all being said, the service was subpar. It was okay at first, but then we ordered more meat and fast forward 20 minutes, it still had not come out. It the took a minute to find a flag down a worker, but we asked once again. It felt like only had 1 (maybe 2) actual server on the floor. We waited like 5 more minutes before ultimately just leaving. I'm not sure what happened since they were pretty empty (customer wise), but it heavily ruined the experience. If you go, I hope your experience is better!:)

The cooked dishes are decent as well, as we tried their pork trotters, fried mussels, and lamb skewers. The selection for hotpot ingredient is as you'd expect for an AYCE place, but the cooked food selection is a bonus. Definitely stuffed myself and was a satisfying meal on a cold winter day. Feels like communist era China, with the propaganda style artwork and decor. It really feels like one is eating at some streetside outdoor restaurant in a Chinese village. Special mention. Even the dumpy wooden tables feel authentic. With that said, this is actually one of the cons of the place. There is simply nowhere enough room to put the uncooked food, even with a side table. And the place sure is authentically cramped. Knock 1 star off. The tables aren't actually piped into a gas system. Instead, the dips in the table hold the portable type hot pot burners that use gas canisters. They do run out occasionally, so be sure to check the flame every once in a while. Staff are friendly and professional. No complaints. My friends and I did the dinner AYCE. Drinks are not included. However, they did include a (1) teapot of cold peach(?) pop, which really hit the spot. No refills for this one though. Besides the typical beef and lamb slices (good quality for both), most of the rest of the food is self serve in their refrigerated sections. Special mention. My friends and I loaded up piles of animal bits. There are skewers, seafood, marinated meats, and other goodies. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Some may not like the whole self serve thing, but personally I found this to be way more efficient than other places where one has to order then wait for the staff to bring the food. As of the time of writing, there is also a late nite AYCE special starting at 2100. Only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because of the seriously cramped seating, as well as the tables that are too small (as mentioned above). With this in mind though, I would gladly eat here again. Recommended.
