My friends and I discovered this place while looking for hot pot in the Richmond Area and it did not disappoint! I knew it was going to be good because the restaurant was pretty crowded at that time. We opted for the 4 person and 2 person dinner special because there was 6 of us. It was very good value as it came with a soup base for each of us and meat, vegetables, fish, noodles, and sauce. They give out a pot of free hot tea. We also ordered the quail eggs and fish tofu puff. The fish tofu puff was a regular tofu puff with a piece of fish inside. At the end of the meal, they give a delicious free ice cream too!

We had an unreal time dining here at Beijing Hot Pot. The service was super fast and the meat quality is top notch. The broth is also so flavourful. I definitely would recommend checking out Beijing Hot Pot and we will definitely be back again.

Been seeing this place pop up all over IG and decided to check it out on a Friday night with a friend and ordered the $49.99 combo for 2 that includes soup broth, DIY sauce bar, lamb, beef, noodles, luncheon meat, frozen tofu, enoki mushrooms, and napa cabbage, and peanut thick noodles. We also ordered tofu fish puffs and two passionfruit drinks. My friend ordered the pork broth and really enjoyed it. I got the tomato broth and it was lovely. My pot was constantly boiling while it took awhile for my friend's pot to heat up and boil. The only thing about the pots is that you can't control the temperature. The staff does come by with hot water to fill up the pots but it does dilute the flavour of your broth over time. The DIY sauce bar is small but has all the essentials - satay sauce, soya, sesame oil, vinegar, cilantro, chopped up garlic, green onions, chili sauce, and a few more. The 2 person combo plus tofu fish puffs and 2 drinks came out to be $71.50 before tip. We left full and for the quantity and quantity of food, it wasn't bad. We also got an ice cream bar at the end of our meal - yum! For $20 more, the 3 to 4 people dinner combo is a great deal for $69.99 with lots more meats and includes fish slices too. They also have a daily $19.99 lunch combo, I would definitely return for that deal.

As a hot pot lover, I am always down to try new hot pot spots. We visited this Beijing-style hot pot restaurant at dinner time & got the $49.99 Dinner combo for 2, which is a great deal as it includes all this: - 2 broths (out of 5 options, we chose: white pepper pork tripe, tomato) - sauces (including sauce bar) - sliced beef or lamb - crystal noodle - luncheon pork meat - beef tripe - cabbage - enoki - frozen tofu - handmade noodles We also ordered the following drinks (not included in combos): - Passionfruit drink - Lychee Soda Highlights of my meal: Good quality meats, fresh ingredients, clean hearty broths, & great combo deals. They also have an amazing lunch combo deal for just $19.99, which runs daily from 11:30-4:30pm, even on weekends! Will have to come back to try the lunch deal for sure.

I found the hotpot and condiments here to be just okay. I liked the pickled veggies in the condiments section and the cold noodles with the sesame sauce.

It is A great lunch deal. For $20, you get the broth, a huge plate of meat, veggie platter with some assorted seafood and fish balls. I am so happy that the deal is for everyday not just weekday. The sauce bar is included with the combo as well. My parents were impressed with the meal quality. My mom was already plotting to come back after work one day for early dinner. The air conditioning is great so don't need to worry about sweating during dining.

Your very own mini hot pot!

Special set lunch meals! Your very own individual pot of soup, lots of veggies and an assortment of meats. They also have some noodles included. The soup is very flavourful which you can add in some sauces. We would definitely go back again.

Small hotpot restaurant near where Buswell St intersects Westminster Hwy. The style (Beijing style?) of hotpot is individual pots that have a stand, and heated by a puck of what looks kind of like camping fuel. With the type of pot they use, you can't adjust the heat so you can't speed up or slow down the boiling, but looks interesting. We went there on a weekend night, managed to snag one of the last tables without having to wait. Ordering is via QR code, although they can bring you a paper menu to look at. There is a small sauce bar. We got their special 3-4 person combo for $69.99. It includes 3 or 4 pots with individual soup bases, and a selection of meats, veggies and stuff to put into the hotpot. Combo also includes 3 or 4 servings of sesame dipping sauce. For the soup base, we tried the clear soup, tomato base, and pepper pork stomach base. Clear soup is very mild. The tomato soup is pretty good. The amount of food was about right for the 3 of us, but probably would need to order more from the menu if we had 4 people or people had bigger appetites. The combo is pretty decent deal to try things out.

The hot pot was good, but there was a paper towel (Scotch) in a cabbage pickle salad from t he Sauce bar. I spit it out and that's how I found out what it was and the product brand. I show it to one of the female worker. That mishap they offered me a plum juice. Do they think this was will helped me wash out the bacteria of my mouth. I'm very dissatisfied with the handling of this unsanitary that this might harm me. Who knows if the paper towel was clean or dirty when it went into the ready to eat food. The service was good, but the handling of the situation was not good at all. The end of my meal and I request my bill, they didn't comp my meal at all. I don't need to comp my entire party, but at least my portion only. They take ten Canadian dollar off the bill. I was very disappointed .

Food was good, the specials offered at lunch for individual hot pot is what drew me in as hot pot in groups can be tough to arrange. Why one star? I got food poisoning, and I did the protocol of calling them to report and the attitude I got was baffling on how they can still operate. As this happened in June, I had a few conversation with a few friends about this. I hope this is a learning opportunity. If one gets food poisoning, the establishment must get the diners info, what they consumed, time etc.. I actually asked them do you want any info from me and what I ate, the person on the phone said "no". Decor is great, staff while dining friendly, food- you can get food poisoning and it's business before proper business practice.

Came for lunch with friends to try their lunch hot pot menu. For $20, I thought the portions were quite generous and the food offerings delicious. They offer a few different broth flavours, though I wish they had the herbal type of broth that I'm used to, but I had their Pork Tripe broth and that was good! My friend ordered a dry hot pot for us to share and I really enjoyed that dish! You can place your order through your phone so service can be quick in that way. The ambiance is nice and the decorations, including their hot pots are beautiful. Would come back here again.

We've driven past this place many times and never thought to come in ( dont know why) but we were very impressed with the food here. It was all very fresh, nicely presented. The soups were very rich. And food came fairly quickly. PS the skewers were actually really good!

The Meat Carnival deal allows you to choose from five unlimited meat options: two kinds of beef, chicken, fish, and lamb. I skipped the chicken on the first round since I don't usually like it in hot pot. Personally, the lamb was just "meh," so I ended up ordering a lot of the beef instead. Pro-tip from our server: They suggested ordering the 1/4 soup pots (four grids) to save money. I got the tomato broth and my friend got the pork broth. In my opinion, HDL still has the best tomato broth in the game! Just a heads-up that veggies and noodles are extra. In the end, we spent about $60 per person after eating seven orders of meat in total. It's definitely worth it if you can eat a ton of protein; otherwise, you're better off coming during regular hours, as you won't save much if you aren't a big eater. The service was great! Super attentive and friendly throughout the night. 5 stars for the staff!

We arrived around 9 PM and stood at the entrance for 3-5 minutes while multiple staff walked past us without any acknowledgment. Most tables were empty, so it wasn't clear whether we were supposed to seat ourselves. I eventually had to stop someone, who then brushed us off and grabbed someone else instead. After sitting down, I asked about AYCE and was told it was discontinued in October 2025. The waiter mentioned happy hour and said we could get an extra discount with a student ID, but when we showed our U.S. student IDs, they wouldn't accept them. Lame, but whatever. The price is acceptable during happy hour. The seats are uncomfortable, and the kitchen was very loud that night. The floor vibrated on and off throughout our meal. The biggest issue: bugs. They clearly know it's a problem since there's a small fan over the sauce station to keep the bugs away, but it didn't help. We found a dead bug in the sauce we made before dipping our food. There were also bugs flying over our food the entire time (see photos). That alone is unacceptable. Food came out almost instantly after ordering on our phones. Impressively fast. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't order the spicy broth again. I know that's the style, but even at one-star spice it was extremely oily and overpowering for me. Another ongoing annoyance was staff constantly messing with our stove. On both visits, we ordered multiple broths. The spicy broth boiled aggressively because of all the oil, while the non-spicy broth barely simmered. We didn't like the spicy broth at all and just wanted the non-spicy one hot enough to actually cook food. Every time I turned up the heat, staff immediately turned it back down because the spicy broth was boiling. As a result, the non-spicy broth never properly boiled the entire meal, and our food was likely undercooked. Extremely frustrating. Last time we came, we got complimentary ice cream at the end. This time, we didn't. I assumed they stopped offering it, but based on other recent reviews, they just didn't give us one. I'm not coming back until AYCE is back and the bug problem is actually fixed.
