Looks like this location has finally jumped on the AYCE bandwagon, joining the other locations. With that said, the AYCE here is different. Parking is available in the Lansdowne lot. The interior has more of a traditional look, with booths surrounded by wooden posts. Staff are friendly and quick. As of the time of writing, there is an AYCE special (7 days, all day) that consists only of beef and lamb slices. The tradeoff is that the price is lower than the other locations. Sauces and soup bases are extra. Orders are done via tablet. One thing that is neat is that they have soup pots here that can carry 3 different broths instead of just 1 or 2. Special mention. Oh yeah, the fish maw broth is pretty good. The soup ladles don't all have hooks, but they don't exactly "fit" the large soup pots either. Best to just use communal chopsticks instead. The orders come quite quickly. Many cows and lambs were eaten. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Recommended.

Located inside/by Landsdowne Mall. Plenty of parking. It wasn't that busy when I went. This is my second time coming here. I ordered mussels and different beef platters (this is not AYCE) some vegetables, chicken wings and the clear broth. The service was good. Sauce area could use some cleaning up. But hey... it's meant to be messy, I guess. Get the donut...... it's massive.

Love the variety of meats, veggies and broth this place offers. Loved the Tomato based soup broth and never thought I would. Price is quite decent and meats are fresh. We ordered lamb and it tasted fresh without a heavy smell. Service was great too. We will be back for sure

CURRY SOUP BASEhappy lamb has recently introduced their new curry soup base and it's definitely a unique flavour with the meats. It's an acquired taste as it's so rich in spices but if you like that mini kick on your meat then check it out! * Love how they have 3 locations, the Richmond one is a la carte but still delicious. * I highly recommend checking out the Richmond location for their late night happy hour as the meat plates are such a steal!

The Richmond location of Happy Lamb chain of hotpot restaurants. Used to be called Little Sheep. It's located next the the east entrance of Lansdowne Mall. Mid size restaurant, nice decor. They have a variety of tables, some with a stove for each person, and other tables with one or more larger stoves for people to share. We had a reservation on a weekend, and waited a few minutes for our table. Restaurant was mostly full, but there wasn't a line of people waiting. There are sauce bars at both the front and the back of the restaurant. The back sauce bar also had two dessert tray and a fruit tray with two types of fruit. In terms of appetizers/snacks at the sauce bar, they had edamame and black cloud fungi, so pretty limited selection there. Unlike some other Happy Lamb locations, this one doesn't have an all-you-can-eat option, so it's a la cart. Didn't look into the menu in depth but most of the items you'd expect are there. Particularly they have a good number of lamb and beef cuts. We tried the "lamb brain meat" which is thick sliced lamb served on a board that supposedly comes from near the brain. Tasted pretty good. We got the non-spicy broth which was good, although you would need to add some water to drink it since the broth is salty. No complaints on the lamb, beef, seafood and shrimp paste we ordered. We also ordered their fried dough. For $9, it's pretty expensive for a fried dough, but that thing is gigantic, has a super crispy skin, and will fill up your stomach if the hotpot didn't quite do the job. Our bill was $135 for 3 people. Overall tasted good, comparable to something like Haidilao. Probably a little cheaper than HDL, in exchange for less service, although Happy Lamb also has a robot for carrying trays. We were definitely full, especially thanks to the fried dough. They give a 10% discount for cash payment, so make sure you have some cash on hand. They have some good happy hour (before or after normal dinner hour) deals, which we didn't take advantage of.

Our amazing friends treated us to hot pot today and we absolutely loved everything about it! The meat was fresh and their broth was excellent! A tad too salty but that's what hot pot broth is usually is at these types of hot pot restaurants. We had a little bit of lamb and beef, some lamb skewers, lots of tofu, meatballs and fresh noodles. The condiment/sauce station was packed with a wide selection and I loved that they had Edamame beans! They had fruits and some dessert. I had no room for free ice cream afterwards but an enjoyable mean and a very vibrant environment!

We came on a Saturday for dinner. We had made reservations for 7pm but were asked to wait. We didn't wait for too long but were told that the next available table was for the individual hotpot section and not the shared section (what is the point of making reservations if this is by next available table). Tip: when you make reservations specify what kind of table you want or they will force you to go to the single hotpot tables (higher price as you need to order individual hot pots but shorter wait time) On to the food. We ordered the hot soup, tomato soup and clear broth. All were not bad. The hot soup isn't very hot so if you want it hotter don't order medium spice. The tomato soup had strong and sour tomato flavours. The lamb skewers were pretty delicious and we can see why they are a popular item. Very tender and well seasoned. Would recommend ordering medium spicy (not too spicy). Don't get the australian lamb and beef plate. For the meats, I would recommend getting the yipin fat cow. It gives you the most bang for your buck. The flavour is better than the beef short rib. We also got the shrimp paste and the ball platter. Both worth getting as they taste like freshly made balls. Very bouncy and delicious The handmade noodles are also worth getting as they are fresh noodles. They soak up the broth well and great for finishing your dinner. Overall the service is mediocre but the food is okay. The price can get quite steep if you aren't careful about ordering. Would recommend you get the yipin fat cow, handmade noodles, shrimp paste, ball platter. For the soup base would recommend medium to hot spicy soup. I actually came for the cat robot but only got a glimpse of it once (it usually comes with your first order so get your pictures in then).

this place is awesome. We ordered lamb and pork for our meat with some mushroom broth/soup and it came in pretty reasonable time for a restaurant like this. Also we ordered the hand made noodles which tasted really nice combined with the pork. The food came to us by a robot. Wow i get why this place has a lotta customers.

Great deal for hotpot if you come during their happy hour! At least for now, from 1:30-4, you can get 32% off all food orders. I don't know how long they'll have this promotion around for, so check with them if you're not sure. My group of 4 came for a late lunch at 2:30, and because of the happy hour, it was super packed even then. Definitely make reservations before coming! You can either choose to share a pot (whole or split) among your group or do individual pots. We chose to do individual as everyone wanted a different broth. I went with the original clear broth and liked it (though it started tasting a bit too bitter and salty near the end...), but I tried the tomato broth and liked that as well. All broths are $8.99. We ordered a ton of meat and veggies to share. Everything was very fresh and presentation was good. Your orders are served by a cute little robot that comes right up to your table. My personal favorites were the wagyu beef ($25.99), the shrimp paste ($14.99), the mixed mushrooms ($10.99), and the handmade noodles ($5.98). The sauce bar is all DIY with plenty of options, including a leek sauce that I've never seen before at any other restaurant. In addition, you can help yourself to free unlimited servings of fruit (it was orange slices and honeydew on the day we came), edamame, black woodear fungus, and some other desserts. They do charge $2 pp for the dessert/sauce bar, but I thought it was worth it.

Entering the new year with a hot pot meal at Little Lamb Hot Pot. This is not an AYCE like the other restaurants with the same name. When I called in to confirm I did not get a friendly answer on this topic. Anyhow we wanted hot pot so booked for a reservation to try it out. The restaurant is spacious & clean and have plexiglass dividers. A Robot delivers food to your table. There are two bars to make your own dipping sauces. The bigger bar by the kitchen also have appetizers like pickled fungus and edamames and desserts. Wished more people were more aware of using the gloves at the sauce bar. A better signage should be in place. All orders were made on a computer pad at the table. It was easy to navigate. We ordered a split broth of spice and non spicy soup, lamb, beef (no chicken but had pork), shrimp paste, puff tofu, assorted mushrooms, greens, donuts (so yummy as it was freshly cooked and crispy) and noodles for 3 people. Prices and portions were reasonable. At the end of the meal you get an ice cream on a stick. We enjoyed our meal and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a newbie in the group and he certainly enjoyed his first time hot potting! Might return for happy hour.

This place was superb .such efficient , attentive and quick service . The hotpot providing a were wonderful . Bill for 4 people will generally run you about $120. But a great experience . The robot tray server is a hoot

We stopped by for the happy hour beef and lamb promotion ($3.99/plate after 8 pm). Service was underwhelming. Some of the servers would avoid looking at our direction when we needed assistance. The broth and food selection was good. I enjoyed the sauce bar as well. You get a popsicle for dessert before you leave. If you want value, the this is an okay option. However, do not expect much service.

LATE NIGHT SPECIAL PRICE CHANGE!! Meat - Cow (beef) 7/10 & Lamb shoulder 8/10, $3.99 per plate: Late night special, 8pm-closing! It used to be $2.99 per plate but that changed not too long ago. The beef was more on the fatty side & the lamb was soft, so overall quality was standard. The portions could be improved, I would get 10 pieces for one plate and then 13 for another. The price is still good for late night if you love meat! The soup, veggies and noodles that we got was pretty good though. I went in on a Saturday night, the restaurant was full so me & my friend waited for 5 mins until we got seated. Shortly after, we ordered our food and everything came quickly! Throughout the night the servers didn't check in much aside from cleaning dishes, and the only time they refilled our soup was when we were basically done our food with 1 piece of lettuce in our pots. What stood out to me was when my friend was paying, the server was staring down at my friend & the card machine to see how much we tip. I understand tipping is important, although it felt kind of forced on our end with the % tip they wanted from us. They also have a sauce bar that is $2.99 per person. (old price, $1.99) This is optional, and you can add that on their ipad when you order. We did not choose the sauce bar since we didn't want additional snacks, but when I looked at the bill they charged us for it, so I kindly asked to remove it and the server did. I recommend checking the bill before you pay! I do like Happy Lamb & the service is usually decent, hopefully this just a 1 time miss! The free melona bar is always a bonus. Its a chill place to hang w/ friends since they also have private rooms!

I liked their AYCE menu and had been wanting to come back, only to find out when we sat down that…read moreAYCE was no longer available. Huge bummer. We arrived around 9 PM and stood at the entrance for 3-5 minutes while multiple staff walked past us without any acknowledgment. Most tables were empty, so it wasn't clear whether we were supposed to seat ourselves. I eventually had to stop someone, who then brushed us off and grabbed someone else instead. After sitting down, I asked about AYCE and was told it was discontinued in October 2025. The waiter mentioned happy hour and said we could get an extra discount with a student ID, but when we showed our U.S. student IDs, they wouldn't accept them. Lame, but whatever. The price is acceptable during happy hour. The seats are uncomfortable, and the kitchen was very loud that night. The floor vibrated on and off throughout our meal. The biggest issue: bugs. They clearly know it's a problem since there's a small fan over the sauce station to keep the bugs away, but it didn't help. We found a dead bug in the sauce we made before dipping our food. There were also bugs flying over our food the entire time (see photos). That alone is unacceptable. Food came out almost instantly after ordering on our phones. Impressively fast. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't order the spicy broth again. I know that's the style, but even at one-star spice it was extremely oily and overpowering for me. Another ongoing annoyance was staff constantly messing with our stove. On both visits, we ordered multiple broths. The spicy broth boiled aggressively because of all the oil, while the non-spicy broth barely simmered. We didn't like the spicy broth at all and just wanted the non-spicy one hot enough to actually cook food. Every time I turned up the heat, staff immediately turned it back down because the spicy broth was boiling. As a result, the non-spicy broth never properly boiled the entire meal, and our food was likely undercooked. Extremely frustrating. Last time we came, we got complimentary ice cream at the end. This time, we didn't. I assumed they stopped offering it, but based on other recent reviews, they just didn't give us one. I'm not coming back until AYCE is back and the bug problem is actually fixed.
