Bun Bo Hue with added meatballs.
    Melanie H.

Literally the best pho I have ever had in a long time. I got the Bun Bo Hue and the chicken wings. Portions are huge! Service is extremely fast. And restaurant was nice and clean.

large house special, with rare steak, brisket, fatty flank, tendon, tripe and beef ball

we popped in out of curiosity after noticing how busy the restaurant was a few weeks back. this restaurant has a homey, casual feel with wood paneled walls, and simple furnishings. it's clean, bright, and efficiently set up for a busy but welcoming dining experience. we were a group of three and arrived around 2:45 pm on a sunday, and even at that off hour, the place was bustling. the menu was extensive, everything from appetizers and rice dishes to noodles, banh mi, and drinks, ooh, and they have durian smoothies! pho runs $16.95 for a small and $17.95 for a large. our server recommended the house special, and for just $1 more, you know we gonna supersize that. i appreciated that they asked whether we wanted the bean sprouts cooked or raw, a nice personal touch. it didn't take long for our meals to come either. the bowl was huge and came loaded with a generous variety of meats (rare thinly sliced steak, brisket, fatty flank, tendon and beef ball) and the broth was comforting and savoury. the other diner in our group ordered the beef stew vermicelli, also large, which came with thicker noodles than we're used to, pleasantly slippery with a nice bite. the beef was fall apart tender. we had an order of spring rolls to start, they were freshly fried with a nice crisp exterior, and not too greasy. the filling was decent, though nothing particularly memorable. solid, but not a standout. as for the durian smoothie, it's not for everyone, but if you like durian, this one was thick, creamy, and with that unmistakable durian taste. the large bowls were truly massive, we were glad we shared one and still had plenty of leftovers.

Beef satay. It was okay. Nothing wrong with it but I've had better for sure. Probably won't order again.

The name sounded like NFL of Pho or something. I had to try Pho Super Bowl to see how big their food was. I ordered Lemongrass Pork with 2 Spring Rolls on Vermicelli ($19.75) it was big enough for 2 servings. And yes, this place is like NFL version of Pho it's gigantic! I was freaking out at the portion when it first came. Because I didn't bring my own container I paid 25cents for the box. Food was good. There were 2 big pieces of spring rolls, some pork slices and some veggies on vermicelli. It came with free soup before my noodles came. I had to get scissors to cut meat so I can eat in a bite size. It was a pretty good deal overall. My bill went over $20, but the portion was huge. This resto is true to it's name. I strongly suggest people to bring a friend to share food. If not, it's wise to bring your own containers. I took half of my food home.

House Special- a bit of everything beef pho

My husband and I tried Pho Super Bowl around 5 mins walk away from Bettie Allard YMCA after our daily workout. It was a great experience. The food is delicious, the portions are very filling and the ambiance is chill. I had a small House Special and my husband had a large #10 beef stake pho. Both were very tasty. For bigger eaters, I highly recommend large. Great price value! We will definitely visit this restaurant again!

Never been to Pho Super Bowl but they're known for their large portions. It's in the same plaza as Me + Crepe, Katsuya and Pokerrito. We dropped in on a slow Tuesday evening (around 7:15pm). Service was dreadful. Witnessed a waitresses go to a table and leave before they were finished ordering. The menu consists of appetizers, banh mi, specials, pho, beef stew, egg noodle, combos, rice plates and vermicelli. Most dishes are in the $13.95 to $18.95 price range. - Herbs - bean sprouts, basil, lemon wedges and hot peppers. Basil wasn't the freshest. - Pho bo sate (#3) ($15.95 large) - steak was thin but overcooked in the broth. Not sure how you can call this a pho sate. Detected no peanut flavour. Broth was bland and boring. Had to throw in some of their chili paste to give it some oomph. There's a massive amount of rice noodles, but they became incredibly soft and limp halfway through. Terrible. - Bun bo hue (#4) ($15.95 large) - broth was average. Not much depth or complexity. This is a quantity over quality BBH. - Bun thit nuong sa, cha gio thit (#66) ($18.25) - spring rolls were of the Chinese variety. J said the pork was overcooked. Not his favourite vermicelli bowl. Don't get the high praise. No plans to return to PSP with so many better Vietnamese spots in town.

    Pho satay

I'd say if you were craving pho and were really hungry, this place will satisfy. Portions a large and generous while still priced as most pho places. But when it comes to flavour and quality, this is where they fall short. I've had their pho before and it was just... meh. If you know your pho, you know. The depth of the flavour was just non existent seemed to just be bland. Today I tried their satay pho hoping this would redeem their regular pho. I was so wrong. I've had satay pho before at some of my other favourite joints so I know how it's supposed to taste. This one was just too watery and waaaay too much oil that all I tasted was the heat. 2/5 star because of the portion. Otherwise I'd have given it 1 star.

Diameter of the large size Pho is the same length of a pair of 11" chopsticks!

They don't call it "Super Bowl" for nothing!! We went out to Pitt Lake for a walk and thought we would grab something light before we head back to Richmond! Boy are we wrong! "Light"?? We both ordered the customary House Special "Large" thinking that its the regular "Large" we are use to seeing all over town, but boy-oh-boy this Large was indeed SUPER!! At $14.95 ( large ) $13.95 ( small ) I truly think they are of great value!! Just go check out the cost of beef is nowadays!! I strongly recommend any meat lovers to come and experience yourselves!! Its almost like endless beef and pho noodles all cradled in this super smooth and deep flavoured broth!! Lucky we did not order any sides as we both almost cannot finish our Pho! From some of my Yelp buddies reviews here, next time I am for sure gona order their Fried Wings!! Plenty of free parking at this mainly restaurants strip mall...

Super bowl indeed. Parking is available in the nice large strip mall lot. The place looks like it used to be a Korean restaurant at some point, with the wood panelling. Actually it used to be Japanese. Staff were friendly. No problems. I wasn't sure what to try so I had their house special which contains all the various cow parts. The bowl is definitely larger than the competition. Broth was nice and light. Decent amount of meat. Soup came with plenty of onions and cilantro. It was beautiful. The spring rolls here are fairly decent but aren't anything special. They are the non fluffy Chinese style. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back next time I'm in the area. Recommended.

Pho - the bowl is bigger then your head

Looking for some super sized bowls of pho? Across from the Burquitlam Skytrain station, this hidden restaurant is located in the plaza on Clarke Road, Pho Super Bowl will fill your craving and then some. Portions are large and great for sharing. They also have combo meals if you're with your friends and family or if you're super hungry. The pho bowls range between $14- $16. Banh mi are under $8, while their rice plates and vermicelli bowls are $17. But again, sharing is recommended or expect to take home left overs. They have their own parking lot, but they're sharing with some other fantastic restaurants so either get there early or at an off time. Give this delicious place a try.

Planning to order veggie pho for me, he will have to 19 rare steak fatty flank tendon tripe.

I will judge from my man and he said whenever he wants something he'll come here lol! The flavour in the broth was amazing yum is an understatement.

    Bun Bo Hue
    Sally C.

My new favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Coquitlam! My go to is Bun Bo Hue & Beef Satay Peanut noodles. Their Bun Bo Hue is one of the most flavourful broths I've had in the Lower Mainland. Packed with lemongrass, chili, complex flavours from the meat, and a great portion of the meat. Not all pho restaurants have the satay peanut soup option so I had to get it when I saw it on the menu. Definitely not the typical pho broth you'd expect but you'll definitely like it if you like a rich savoury peanut broth! The service is very friendly and I always enjoy dining here.

    Chicken lemongrass rice dish ($18.25)
    Ally S.

2.5/5 Ordered 2 different dishes, but they forgot the other one, so my mom and I ended up sharing the chicken lemongrass rice dish. The portion size of the chicken was really good and the chicken was pretty flavourful, but overall, it was just okay. I initially wanted to get the veggie pho, however the broth is beef, so that was a no-go which is unfortunate as the friend I was with did get a beef-pho and she said it was pretty good.

The new location is in Richmond near the Richmond Oval, across where T&T use to be. The space is pretty big, and clean, with around 10 tables spaced out. There's definitely room to put in more tables, but I think they want to test it out. Everything on the menu looks delicious. We ordered No.9 on the noodle soup, with eye round steak, well-done brisket, fatty brisket, soft tendon & beef tripe, and a couple of spring rolls. The price is very reasonable, within $20 for a bowl of pho, and there was also a 10% off for the soft opening, The broth is rich and tasty, however on the salty side. I would suggest to squeeze the lime into the broth to balance out the salty taste. Portion is pretty big as we couldn't finish in one go. I like how clear the broth is, and a lot of meat it comes with. It's well balanced. The rice roll is made out of rice paper, instead of the spring roll paper. Be aware that it's going to be sticky on your teeth, haha. I personally not a fan, but I know it's authentic. The service was pretty good, a little slow since it just opened, but the servers are nice and friendly. It's a family business, and they all use to work in the Coquitlam location. It's pretty busy during lunch hours, and I have no doubt that it will slowly build up to the community. I mean, who doesn't like a good bowl of pho in winter?
