Saw this cafe and been wanting to try it! They offer pho, Bahn mi, rice plates and vermicelli plates, along with various drinks. I definitely recommend getting the White Lotus Platter to share as an appetizer. It has a bit of everything so perfect for those who can't make up their minds. Love my special lychee jelly drink. And the noodle soups were so so so delicious! They also have a kid's combo but my little was more interested in the noodle bowls. Lots of parking spaces outside. Service is quick. Perfect for a family meal. Not a lot of tables inside so you may want to opt for take out.

Very casual as expected for this area. Staff was nice and welcomed us right when we walked in. It was snowing outside so we wanted noodles with soup, but it didn't hit the spot. It's also pricey for the small portions. I read good reviews about the bun bo hue, but the broth was weak. I asked for medium spice but it wasn't even mildly spicy. Bun bo hue wasn't authentic and didn't have pork hock or pork blood. The bun rieu broth was also weak. I remember ordering pho delivery years ago and it was tasty, so this experience was disappointing.

After spending the morning in Coquitlam, we drove over to this restaurant around 3 pm on a Monday. There were a few other patrons but it was quiet and clean. We ordered pho sate, com ga, and an appetizer platter. The appetizers were amazing and very flavourful! I wish there had been more satay in the pho but I noticed it had all just settled at the bottom. Portion sizes are good!

Got noodles here for dinner one night and it was yummy! I was surprised that when I said "spicy" for my bun Bo hue option, it was almost not spicy at all. But the broth was flavourful still, and then give you a really good amount of toppings. I was running out of noodles to accompany the toppings--defs a good value. Also I absolutely loved their takeout containers! Super compact while still providing a solution to separate the broth from the noodles.

We really enjoyed our vegetarian pho at White Lotus. It was filling and delicious. Kind and helpful staff and would go again.

Beautiful pho place in Fair Market strip mall. Parking is plentiful in the nice large lot in front. The interior looks nice and modern. There are seats for maybe 16 people inside. I've been told that the seating area has recently expanded (they took over the adjacent spot). Staff were friendly. Wow their kitchen looked busy. Takeout orders were happening like crazy the entire time my friends and I were there. Pho is a bit pricier than the competition ($14 as of the time of writing), but the quality is there. I was definitely happy with the Bun bo Hue. The spiciest setting is maybe a medium at best. Nice broth and chopped onions. Their pho toppings also include some red cabbage in addition to the usual fixings. I also tried their cold cut banh mi. Pretty tasty and authentic, though the size is a bit smaller than the competition. Bread was nice and crunchy on the outside. Definitely will come back at some point. Recommended.

Tucked away at the corner of the strip mall, this place stands out as it looks newer than the other tired looking shops or restaurants. This place is clean, bright and spacious. The prices on the menu reflect that. It is quite a jump from $11 to $14 for a bowl of pho. The saving grace is at least the pho is tasty. Nothing worse than paying more for mediocre food. I had the bun bo hue medium spice. It was good and it was not very spicy. I asked for the usual sauces plus chili oil. The chili oil hot sauce tasted house made and was really good. It went very well with the noodle. I also liked that it did not come with cubes of pig blood and trotters. It was just the ham, beef balls and slices which I prefer. Apparently they made the bread in house for their banh mi. Something to try for the future. The service is also excellent. Plenty of parking at the strip mall lot.

We came here for our sons first restaurant meal after a trip to buy low and it was excellent. The staff were so accommodating with providing a baby bowl, spoon and scissors to cut our food so he could eat it. They also have high chairs. This was really above and beyond and we didn't even ask for these items, they just gave them to us. Food was good! We ordered a pho and noodle combo. Both were tasty. This will forever be a great memory for us and we look forward to visiting again!

Decent vegetarian pho but far from the best in town. I stopped in for lunch one day looking to try their veggie pho ($14.50 plus tax). They contain "vegetarian meats", and though I was told they were vegan, I had my doubts (some veg seafood has egg/dairy), so it might be worth asking to see the package or omitting them. Anyway, the soup came out in about 15 mins. You get a generous portion of thin noodles, tofu, broccoli, carrot, and all sorts of veggie meats. Personally, I could do with less of the veggie meat and more veggies. The broth was fairly bland, almost tasting like a very light homemade chicken noodle soup broth. They have homemade chili oil which amps up the broth nicely. Filling and reasonably satisfying overall, but not especially interesting veg pho.

Was in the area and knew right away, if there is a strip mall with a grocery store, that formula equates to good eats. I was right! Whats so special? Their beef stew base has a ton of msg! No extra sauce or salt needed. I like the seasoning (msg*), but it was almost overbearing. Your sodium conscious friends would not like the soup base at all. The stewed base was lean and very beefy, excellent! Pork Patty Bahn Mi I love their Pork Patty, cooked to well down and seasoned perfectly. I would totally add another side of patty to the Bahn mi next time, as the portion for the regular is on the lean side. Very fragrant homemade pate as well. Decor: You know the staff/family know how to party here with their sound system, tv and lights. It is family run and it shows. Bathroom is clean and the cutlery, folded napkin, presentation is well thought out. Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu. Extra bonus marks for tap pay system for credit cards.

I'm so sad this place is all the way out in Burnaby. We got bbq pork and chicken Bahn mi and the wonton soup. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. It was some of the best wontons we've had (and they're hand made!). The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is very clean. The staff was very friendly as well.

$18 this is a great platter to share.

A hole-in-the-wall diner, but prices comparable to nicer establishments. The food is good, and the karaoke decor, suggests that fun is had in this tiny space when the sun sets.

Vermicelli bowl with a choice of two toppings/sides: I chose the sugar cane shrimp and spring rolls.
    Stephanie G.

*Pre- Covid Throwback review (2019!)* The sugar cane shrimp sounded unique so I ordered that as a side. I expected whole shrimp with a sugar cane glaze or something but in actuality it was like a shrimp and fish paste ( texture like a fish ball) skewered on a sugar cane stalk. It was, however, super tasty. We ordered the house special pho and a vermicelli bowl. Spring rolls was crispy and fresh. The broth of the pho was delicious and very flavourful. Small shop with a few tables, we went for an early dinner so there was a couple tables to spare. It is still on my list to try their beef stew and bahnmi's so maybe this will be the year! I visited this place due to its many high reviews and it did not disappoint! Quaint little restaurant nestled in a row of other small shops just a 5min walk from Holdom station !

It does not come with tofu, so I added some (another $4!) to my small size. The pho came out in less than 10 minutes. The pho came with lots of veggies (lots of broccoli, plus cauliflower, carrot, celery, white onion and green onion), plus lots of rice noodles, and tofu. Of course, the broth is usually what makes or breaks a pho, and this was one of the most low-effort, lamest vegetable broths I've tried in Greater Vancouver (and I've tried over 90 pho places in the Metro area that have veggie pho options). In fact, I saw the woman fill up my pho bowl from the hot water dispenser. So, they don't even bother to have a proper veggie broth; they just base the broth on hot water, with maybe some salt and possibly some other spices? The broth tasted like barely salted water. Super lame. Embarrassing product to serve. The value is bad given the very lame quality. I like that they have a veggie pho option. The portion is big and you get lots of vegetables, though the lack of tofu is definitely a thumbs down given the already above average price for the pho. All in all, don't come here for veggie pho. 2 stars is very generous.

Since then though we've heard a few people say positive things about it so...we decided it was time to give it another try. Came here as a group of 5, and it was a last minute decision as we had originally planned to eat elsewhere but that place turned out to be closed on Sundays. With no reservation on a Sunday, we were asked to wait about 10 minutes. Not too bad of a wait, compared with another Vietnamese place that we'd driven by earlier which had a lineup out the door. A couple of people in our group had fried eggs on their dishes. The eggs looked good. Soft yolks and soft yolk is what I like to see. There was a Papaya salad that we shared amongst the table. This was OK for me. Wasn't thrilled with it. I ordered the Lemongrass Tofu on Vermicelli. I love that this restaurant gives the option of having it on Vermicelli. I'd been somewhere else earlier this year which also had Lemongrass Tofu but it was only served on rice, with no option of switching to Vermicelli. The Lemongrass flavor was strong. Very flavorful. Something in the dish though was quite spicy. It seemed a lot of other dishes on the table were also quite spicy. Hubby's Bun Bo Hue was extremely spicy but he still enjoyed the dish very much. My daughter and I both ordered the Sober Sunday drink which had Lychee, Kumquat and Lemon Juice. The drink was OK. Nothing to write home about. Our daughter just ordered the Tapioca Dumplings appetizer and then took bits and pieces from other people's orders. A spring roll and a couple pieces of Lemongrass Tofu from me, some beef and noodle from her dad...etc. The dumplings looked tasty. They looked like something I'd have ordered myself if I were still a meat eater. Overall, the food here is flavorful. It was a much better experience this time than the first time we came here. Personally though, I'd prefer them to tone down the spice or even eliminate the spice altogether. I don't like having to wipe my nose all the time because of having eaten something spicy, or having my lips burn.
