Came in for a late dinner around 830pm. The restaurant is clean and up to date with sleek decor. Edison light bulbs and black tables. The server seated us quickly after we entered the door. She got us menus and we perused what we wanted. We were given hot tea right away to drink.. the server came and took our order. Wife ordered #c4 pho grilled lemon grass chicken i ordered #p15 pho brisket, tendon, tripe, beef balls. Regular size and a #A1 fried rolls(2pc) The broth was nice and hot and had decent flavor but not a beefy depth I've had at other pho places. But not the worst.. and I've had much worse. This is fairly standard. The noodles were cooked perfectly, beautiful chew and texture. Decent amount of beef Brisket, tendon and balls. Overall solid bowl of pho. Nothing bad here. The fried rolls were beautifully crispy and not overly oily. The filling was tasty and had a very nice texture. Fish sauce was a bit lacking in my opinion. Wasn't horrible bit i felt it could be a bit stronger in flavor? Took a piece of wifeys grilled lemon grass chicken from her pho. Was nicely cooked. No complaints there. As said before overall everything was decent and fairly standard for a solid meal. No negatives but also nothing stands out. Would definitely frequent this establishment again if in the area. read more

First time at this place for a friend's birthday dinner celebration and our experienced was good. The place was very busy on Sunday evening but we got seated right away. Staff were friendly and very attentive, always checking our table needs. The place's interior was very nice and cozy. Although food serving time was over 30 mins, the foods we've ordered were very good and delicious. I had the Grilled Chicken Rice with Eggs and the chicken was tender, juicy and very flavorful. read more

In my Junior High school we had this cafeteria lady who was terrifying. You lined up straight, made no eye contact, moved the line and for your own safety remembered your "Please" and "Thank You"....and then maybe you got your pizza slice. I am Pho Coquitlam reminded me of the good 'ol' days of high school cafeteria. The only difference was it wasn't just the host that was rude but everyone that worked there just seemed pissed off. We sat for about 20 min before being given a menu. I almost left and now I wish I had, because it got worse. Luke warm tea Dirty menus Wet floor no one bothered with Annoyed looks Very average food. Bon Apetit! read more

Good pho with steak, brisket and beefballs beef balls. The regular was a good portion with lots of meat. I would have appreciated if they provided some Thai basil along with the bean sprouts and lemon given. We came a busy lunch period. Expect a no nonsense type of service when coming here. read more

Great food! I love coming here during my visits to Coquitlam. The service is not terrible, but if you're in a rush - don't expect fast service. But the staff is all very friendly. I always order the Tofu Pho. This place sets the standards for me when it comes to good Pho. It's very tasty, they give you a healthy portion and the veggies are steamed just right. My coworker loves the Lemongrass Chicken Pho and swears it's the best! Go check this place out if you're in the area! read more

I ordered a drip coffee and pho with beef balls, brisket, and ribeye, was extremely good. Will probably eat here again. Our waiter was attentive and they had the service button if we needed anything. They had Christmas music and decorations, felt good. read more

Very solid pho with a separate vegetarian menu with plenty to choose from. I stopped in for a quick lunch having seen that they have a veggie pho (with veggie broth; $15.50 plus tax). My soup came out in about 10-15 minutes in a massive bowl. There was a good portion of medium-width rice noodles, lots of deep fried tofu, and mixed veggies (green cabbage, broccoli, carrot, red and green onion). The broth was nicely salty, with just enough sweetness to balance, making it quite addictive, though without the flavour depth of some of the top Greater Van spots. Filling, reasonably priced and fairly tasty. Worth checking out if you're out this way read more

We've just move to Burnaby few months ago, first time visiting this lovely restaurant. Our opinion of Greater Van pho so far are 'it's hard to find a decent bowl of pho', and thus we've been trying multiple places throughout the months. Taste 0.5/1* Me and the wife both ordered pho (P7 for me & P15 for her) Pregnant wife found the texture of the brisket to be too chewy, I thought it was acceptable She liked the noodle texture, where as for me I found it too undercooked/hard Overall taste was ok, definitely get that MSG overload feel after, will give 0.5 for the split decision on noodle and meat Value 0/1* Bubble tea slightly more expensive than other places at $6.85, but pearls included Banh mi noticeably pricier at $11.xx including a pop Service 1/1* Had to wave a server down to get our order in after no one coming by 15min after sitting, but other than that nothing too bad Cleanliness 0.5/1* Good Reno and clean out front, but washroom was like a whole other world, dirty, messy and cleaning supplies on floor, makes one wonder what's going on in the kitchen Chipped Dinning wear also a cause for concern Overall/Revisit 0/1* As we have already found another spot that we enjoy more and closer to us, likely wouldn't make the trip out here just for pho Paying for ambience? YES Above and beyond? 0/+1* read more

We had never been. From outside we could see the tables were full and there was a line. Despite the line they were attentive and got us a table fairly quickly. Table service was good. The followup when it was time to pay was slow and my husband had to get up and ask for the bill. Food was great. Large portions. Good value. I would recommend it and definitely go again when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

I've tried a lot of Pho places, and prefer places that have a tasty soup, tender meat and don't put too much msg. Generally speaking I don't care too much about decor. We had two large Pho number 13 (tendon and brisket) and the bowls are huge. The noodle is wider than most pho places, the soup itself was good and I didn't taste any msg, place was also clean, staff was friendly. It's a solid choice in my opinion if you're craving Pho. read more

Attention: No MSG added. I am allergic to MSG therefore it is hard to have soup food outside. I Am Pho is one of the rare pho place that make their broth without MSG. I ordered a big special house bowl with plenty of beef slices and other toppings. The store is bright, staff are extremely lovely. read more

One of those lazy days so needed to find a place for a late quick lunch before heading downtown for dinner at Riley's for the first time. Finally decided on this place, probably passed by this place many times when shopping or going to the movies at this plaza but first time here. Parking is easy since the plaza's customers parking is quite decent and this plaza has quite a few different restaurants; Chinese cafe, Greek, sushi, ABC country restaurant, A&W, Wendys, etc... and of course Cactus club across the street. Anyways, walked into the restaurant and promptly seated because it was pretty empty except for one table. The restaurant was clean, quite spacious, and everything look quite new. I believe the restaurant has been recently renovated? Here were the food we ordered; 1. Deep fried chicken wings. They had a medium crunch, the meat were hot and juicy in the middle, but a bit too oily. However a bit lazy and messy with the presentation?? 2. Vietnamese iced coffee. It was average, not bad or not great, but it was a couple of dollars more here then at most Vietnamese restaurants. 3. House special pho. The soup was hot, good! The noodle was good and just the right amount of meat, no more no less. Whether there are msg in the soup or not, well my mouth gets dry fast when there's msg and my mouth was getting a bit dry. 4. Bun Bo Hue. Once again the soup came hot so that's always a good start and have a nice distinct bun bo hue flavour to it so that's a bonus. Overall, the food here were decent but definitely some of the dishes needed to improve on the presentation aspect. And where the heck are my basil, chili peppers or jalapeños slices, and the shredded veggies for the bun bo hue? The restaurant was spacious and clean with AC so quite comfortable eating a hot bowl of pho even with the summer heat outside. As for service wise, let's just say; you order, you eat, you go up to the counter and pay, and you walk your butt out the door. Most likely not a repeat for me. read more

My date and I were in the area and stopped in. Date had the chicken. I had a bite and thought it was delicious. He gave his meal a 4. He said it was good, but wasn't quite a 5. I had the Pho and it was delicious. The noodles were thick and the meat was generously portioned. Probably the best meat I've had in pho in a while. I removed 1 star because they use MSG and I have a reaction. But it really was tasty. It's my bad that I didn't ask ahead if they used it. Service friendly. The tea delicious. Perfect. The restroom is clean and spacious. Nice restaurant. I can see why it's popular. I would have given 4.5 star. read more

I would rate this restaurant 3.5 stars. This pho restaurant has been renovated and decorated nicely comparing to other pho places. They use nicer chairs and tables. The customers definitely feel more comfortable. We ordered three bowls of pho and a dish of pork chop and shrimp with vermicelli. Surprisingly the dish of pork chop and shrimp with vermicelli arrived before the three bowls of pho. We had been waiting for a long time for the pho. Not sure why. We also noticed that two customers came in before us who also waited for their food for a long time. Finally we could taste the pho. The soup base had a very strong MSG. It definitely tasted different from other pho. The pho had a thin and wide rice noodles. I felt like I was eating the Chinese rice noodles in soup, but with beef and pho soup base. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. The customer service was average. There is a sharing parking lot in the complex, so customers don't need to worry about parking. read more

Came back here and the broth was extremely bland. I asked the server why it was lacking flavour. He said I had added too much bean sprouts and it diluted the flavour. I told him that never in my life have I ever heard that about pho before. I always add bean sprouts and in no way shape or form does it alter the taste. He brought me back a sample of the broth from the kitchen and it tasted the exact same... bland! Didn't bother to finish it and he didn't even offer me a different dish. So I won't be coming back. read more

Veggie pho #26 ($12 I think) This time around it didn't come with tofu. The broth itself didn't have much of its own flavour this time, but after I added hoisin, chili oil and sriracha, it was defiantly better! I will say that I've had better veggie pho for cheaper, so I probably won't be coming back here. Still good service though. Veggie pho $11: veggie broth, tofu, broccoli, carrots. I tried the broth before I added chili oil and hoisin. It actually had taste and it wasn't just boulder water. Personally, I would have liked it a lot more if there were at least one more veggie in there, but I know that broccoli and carrots are the usual... just saying that cauliflower would be nice. Pretty good service too! read more

Just meh pho and spring rolls. Not terrible buy lacking the depth of flavor and gusto one expects from pho. Maybe the intention is to tone it down for the less initiated in Vietnamese cuisine? Next time I'll probably drive by and go up the hill to Pho Holiday or Pho Capital. Also, the high school-aged staff played terrible music loudly... and by terrible I mean today's pop hits, so perhaps it's just that I find Ariana Grande annoying. Made me want to eat as fast as possible and leave. Nice atmosphere though, well designed and clean, fast service and food delivery. read more

They restaurant just recently opened and is currently offering 20% off grand opening promo until the end of June. The price is a little bit higher than most Vietnamese restaurants but the flood is very fresh and tasty! I ordered the lemongrass chicken with spring rolls on rice. The chicken is one of the best marinated lemongrass chicken I have tried so far! It was generously seasoned with spices and lemongrass which gave the chicken a lot more flavor. There are plenty of parking around and it is great place four a quick dine before or after movies or bowling that is right around the corner. read more

Restaurant environment: 5/5 very well designed and modern Cleanliness: 5/5 washrooms are tidy and clean Service: 5/5 servers were very polite and friendly Food: 4/5 The pho noodles weren't exactly the same as most other pho restaurants, they are much thicker. It's almost double the width of your usual noodles. I personally do not like it that much but it was acceptable. However, the soup base was perfect. It was flavorful yet wasn't too salty. One of the best pho in Vancouver. Highly recommend it. Quantities are big too. I am love to come back here.

Ordered from here off and did takeaway. I had ordered the beef ball and rare beef pho and paid for that dish, however when I got home excited to eat it.. I open the bag and there is no beef balls!! I wish I had double checked my order before heading home. But even without adding the beef balls there was hardly any rare beef pieces so that makes me think they forgot to add them in. Also my bff & roommate ordered from here off skip the dishes and they had a fly in their broth!! Ya we never ordered again. Also I don't like the flat noodle. read more

The food was decent. The broth of the soup was a little bland for my taste. But a little Sriracha/hoisin sauce combination helps it out. The noodles were good, a little thicker than what I'm used to. Got the lemongrass bahn mi on the side to complete the meal. Dipped the sandwich into the soup and let the bread soak in the juices. Every bite was more and more enjoyable. The inside of the restaurant was very modern and clean. A nice change of scenery compared to other pho places that I go to on the regular. Only been here once, but I'd definitely come back to try their other dishes. read more

Was between errands Sunday afternoon, looking for something warm on a rainy day. Co-worker recommended this place. Was greeted immediately (and they were busy), decor is elegant (no sports on tv or loud music...they were playing soft instrumental jazz, which I found relaxing), food was fast and hot, staff friendly and attentive. I had beef stew with rice noodles. Large portion of tender, beautifully marbled beef slices, daikon and carrots in a tasty broth. I'll come back tomorrow to take out something different for lunch! New Vietnamese restaurant in what used to be a bistro. I feel a bit conflicted about my experience. To be safe, I got a large noodle soup with beef brisket and flank ($11). Basil was fresh, sprout was fresh, great quality beef. The noodle, however, was not what I expected. Instead of your regular pho rice noodle, this place serves flat rice noodle. Not as thick as fettuccini, but definitely not what I'm used to. The soup was alright, not the best, not enough for me to want to get it again. I have eaten at nearly all the Pho restaurants in the Lougheed/Coquitlam corridor. I usually order Bun Bo Hue(Spicy beef noodle With thick noodle and ham). So thats what I did here. The amount of meat packed in this soup is truly huge. The flavour of the broth is standard and nothing to rave about but due to its carnivorous depth I am giving it a higher review. If you want lots of beef and noodles and ham order it. The service here is ok. They were friendlier when they first opened as are all places.
