Really good pho place! It's very clean and modern-looking inside and the staff is really nice and efficient. I ordered the large House Special pho (eye round steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, beef balls) for $12.45. It's not a super large portion, but it's filling and tasty. The broth is very clean-tasting and you don't get that thirsty feeling afterwards. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for some good pho! read more

Reasonable prices and generally decent service. One of the male waiter (probably highschool or college) is super welcoming and always have a smile on his face. The other older male waiter is cold and not too friendly. The female waitress that day was pretty friendly too. The food is good and food portion size. Quite a few options to choose from for food and drinks. They have alcohol beverages too and bubble tea (but I won't recommend the bbt at all since it's not authentic). They have a few desserts too but most are bought and ready made. The avocado smoothie was good although I prefer not have it with crushed ice. The only thing that could be better for the smoothie was to be a bit more careful with how they cut it maybe (I keep finding and biting into the head/stem of the avocado which is inedible) lots of parking but it's usually packed. The restaurant itself isn't usually packed, just a good amount of people so it's not too busy or loud. I'd definitely come back again and highly recommend others to give it a try! read more

Quite disappointed in this place and pretty sure I have stomach aches and diarrhea from this place. I found an ingredients label in my soup and was only given another bowl of pho. Now I'm feeling the repercussions of eating at this restaurant. Also, I don't know why the pho noodles were different from every other pho restaurant I've been to. The noodles were also kind of under cooked and clumped together. The location is good for big groups, but unfortunately after our experience I will not be coming back here. read more

A very beautiful spot, the food however is okay??? My daughter and I were seated right away. The servers were super efficient bringing us tea and water. It was 12 ish and it started to get busy. I'm on a low carb diet so I ordered the shrimp papaya salad and a pork salad roll without noodles. The salad was lacking herbs, as in basil or mint like I'm use to. The salad roll was also lacking herbs, it was two pieces of meat and lettuce. No sprouts or mint? The sauce was good though. I ordered the kids meal, a small bowl of noodles with beef balls and flank. My daughter really enjoyed it, I tasted the broth and it was good. The meal came with a juice box which was a bonus. The give you a fortune cookie at the end of your meal which is nice. Would I return??... if I were in the area and was super hungry but I wouldn't go out of the way. read more

I recently moved to Coquitlam and have now eaten at I Am Pho 5 or 6 times. I think this is by far the best Pho I have tried anywhere. The restaurant is new and clean and the service has always been fast and courteous. Definitely a Must Try! read more

Go somewhere else! The pho soup has gone downhill and taste is bland as Paul S. posting says. On top of that, "service" can be hostile or non-existent. Wow, funny how service changes after the grand opening period. I guess the fake niceness went out the door with grand opening banner. Have been here a handful of times since opening. Pho is better than Pho 99, but service was never great. Usually servers seem absentminded--needing to be reminded more than once to bring tea or anything else, even when the restaurant is less than half full. Just went back recently and was truly surprised by one of the more friendly, but absentminded servers. The place was only half full. She tried to seat our group by the door. As temp are below 0, we asked to choose a table a little farther away from the door as we have seen many skip the dishes drivers come and go. When the request was made to sit one table over, the server (not new staff, possibly family member of the owner) looked annoyed and ignored us. We didn't know if that meant she wasn't going to seat us at the table farther from the door or not. So we just sat down at the table we wanted. She looked very angry and glared at us. it was strange as there were no other guests waiting for a table. She clearly looked angry and we tried to explain, but she did not try to hide her anger. She walked back to the counter and complain loudly about us to fellow staff. We did not leave as we were tired and had kids with us and did not want to involve them. To our relief, the original server did not want to speak with us. Another server brought our drinks and took our order. We ordered and we were served very staggeredly so some of us had food for almost 15 mins after others. We thought this was odd as no other patrons had come in after us. We were never asked if our food was ok and or offered more tea. We had to ask for water twice before getting it. We were not provided any cutlery for our non-pho dish. Again no new patrons all this time with at least 3 servers on duty. Then we noticed halfway thru our meal that one of us who actually ordered a drink never got it. As the meal was half done, he decided he'd just ask for this be taken off the bill. We told the server about this when she brought the bill. She did not even try to provide a hollow apology. instead, she had the audacity to say that she could bring it now so we can take the can of pop with us to go! Needless to say, they didn't get a tip and we aren't going back. read more

I ordered takeaway, the number 4 combo roll selection. I know this is basic, but if a restaurant does a great job of their basic items... It was really delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation - even in a styrofoam takeout dish was pretty good. Great value. I noticed while I was waiting that a lot of thought went into the beautiful décor. This place is ok but not great service. No pork fried rolls they said but they just look and taste like eggrolls, not the nice big pieces of what a fried pork stuffed egg roll should look like and cut. Major disappointment as I was craving a real roll. read more

I Tried to find a Pho restaurant that opens earlier than 11 so was excited to find this place. I've seen it a few times and wanted to try it. Got there at 1040am. The staff were friendly and prompt. Appeared to be a family working there and they spoke Vietnamese so nice to know the restaurant is authentic! Ordered a large bowl of pho noodles for $11 and it was served very quickly (they weren't too busy, maybe 2 other tables). It was delicious. The noodles were flat so not the typical ones i'm used to. The bowl appeared larger than it was tho. There was lots of meat (which was nice cuz usually i am left with a lot of noodles). The restaurant was clean and the style was contemporary. I like how they have a kids noodle bowl for $7 and the menu was vast! They have subs, stew, rice & vermicelli. I will definitely be back to try other items! The parking lot is busy but free so thats great. They accept credit cards so another bonus! read more

I've been here twice. The first time was around time when they had 15% off promotion for their grand opening. I had their pho & it wasn't bad, generous amount and service was quick. I was positive I will be coming back again. Last night, I went back again because I was in the area. It was very busy for a Saturday night but it doesn't justify waiting over 10 minutes to wave down a server. The same bowl of pho I got this time had less noodles & the broth was greasy. I didn't feel full despite I ordered a large with a side of spring rolls. The deep fried spring roll shockingly had a shard of white glass. I'm guessing something broke inside the kitchen & a piece flew into the filling. The server offered to bring me a new one but she didn't seemed surprised I found glass inside the spring roll when I confronted. I don't think I will be going back here again since there's a Pho place just up the street beside the bowling place which have bette spring rolls that are thick and tasty. read more
