my favourite noodles for any pho restaurant in the area. I love the broth and the fast service

Pho Chay (large, with satay peanut broth; vegan)
    Matt B.

Very solid veggie pho with a satay peanut option, though not the cream of the crop for Vancouver/Burnaby. I stopped in for lunch during week and ordered a large Pho Chay ($14.50; small is $13.50), and modified the broth to be satay peanut (+$1.50). My soup came out in 5 minutes, with a very generous of vermicelli, some fried tofu, and mixed veggies (broccoli, carrot and loads of cabbage). The broth was rich, lightly spicy, and amply salty, but perhaps without the complexity that some other satay peanut broths have. The veggies were a little overcooked as well; the broccoli and cabbage especially, having lost their crispness. All in all, solid spot, slightly on the pricy side but still reasonable. I'd return if I were in the area but wouldn't come out of my way to eat here again with so many awesome pho spots in town that have veggie options, as well as satay peanut broths.

Decent pho place near Brentwood station. Parking is somewhat available in the Solo lot. Supposedly there is 30 minutes free parking there, but as there is no way to verify in case one gets a ticket, it's not worth it. Park on the side streets instead. Some free spots along Dawson. Inside is modern and quite new, like the rest of the building. P2 Pho d'lite beef - got a bit of everything. Large is a decent sized portion. Nice light soup. Beef bits are fresh. Pho toppings are also fresh. A2 spring rolls - skins are regular and not fluffy. Length is fine but girth is a little lacking. Dipping sauce isn't the most fishy. Half decent but nothing special. A3 garlic butter chicken wings - the entire plate was only drumsticks. Drumsticks are baby sized. These have to be the smallest ones I have seen in any restaurant, including the ones at wings nights at pubs. Totally not worth the money. Knock 1 star off. Served with some salt and sugar in a dish as well as some shredded lettuce. Overall I may come back for the pho, but the appetizers are disappointing.

Standard Vietnamese pho restaurant, nothing special IMHO. I had a large P7 (rare beef and beef ball pho) and enjoyed it. My friend had E4 (beef and carrot stew), I tasted the broth and it had a nice satay-like flavour to it. Both had plenty of noodles and a good amount of meat. I was profiled and given water instead of tea, without asking me. I actually prefer tea while eating. The garnish provided was basil and lime, but no beansprouts?? I ordered a salad roll and never got it (but at least was not charged for it). There were only 2 of us and the lady memorized the order, I'm guessing she just forgot to ring it in. Parking is limited right out front, but there's more underground. It's a busy area with more apartment towers going up all the time.

My kids always crave for pho and honestly my mom makes THE BEST in the city (not biased cuz that's the only thing she is good at). Lmao We came here yesterday for lunch and were allowed to seat anywhere in the restaurant. Isn't that great? There were two tables already. We ordered the beef pho, chicken pho, and a salad roll. I wasn't hungry but I still tried some. I noticed that the pho's broth was a little on the salty side but they were very generous with the noodles. The pho ga (chicken pho) was kinda weird because anywhere you eat, they would chopped up a real chicken and give you the pieces. In this case, it was just pho and what my son said "they chopped up the lemongrass chicken and put it in." Don't get me wrong. He still enjoyed it but I don't think it's the traditional way to make pho ga. My salad roll was boring. I don't like how they put in Vietnamese ham instead of real pork. Anyway, this restaurant was clean and service was acceptable but the food was so-so. I might come back and try their other items if I'm in that area.

Just okay! The pho is okay got new additional foods since i have come here. Best tea you would find in vancouver though. Wouldnt regret coming here for the tea. Food is too expensive for the size so its not that worth it.

They have the most delicious chicken wings you'll ever have. So my husband says. The vegetarian pho is amazing!! They are happy to oblige with special requests like add extra veggies and delete the noodles, and add steamed tofu instead of meat. Perfect for sticking to the way I like to eat Fresh fresh fresh and very tasty. Solid 4! The Pandan tea is amazing too and if you're lucky they may have some to sell for you to make at home.

Harro! Decor and Service: The decor is really nice! I love the simple design and clean feel of the place. Quite small restaurant and does get pretty hot during the summer. The washrooms are very clean and maintained well. The staff here are not bad. You do here them arguing amongst one another sometimes... lol Food: I was pretty surprised by how much I liked the food! I had the House Special Pho which has all the different types of meat and it was really good! The portion for a small was amazing. It was a good amount of meat and noodles and I added a spoon of the chilli oil on the side which made it perfect! The broth is what surprised me the most. Had a very clean crisp feel to it and did not make me super dehydrated or thirsty at the end of it. Which meant not a lot of msg was used in the broth or none at all. To finish off my meal I had an iced vietnamese coffee to go. The iced coffee was so refreshing and had a strong kick to it with a nice sweetness in the end.

Everyone must try their heartwarming Pho and their ever fresh lemon grass chicken salad roll! Best value for Pho for the price you pay! Totally recommend to everyone out there! Their staffs are very nice and friendly. Ambiance from the inside is a 100%. Will definitely eat again soon!

Veggie pho with a SOFT fresh egg on the side 4/5
    Patricia L.

Super friendly staff and quaint place tucked away behind the buildings. I've only had the veggie pho which was great and had lots of veggies in it but what really takes the cake is the fact they can serve me a soft egg on the side. No, not the soft fried egg, an actual side egg that is dropped into a boiling bowl of broth and it semi cooks until you drop it in your pho and get that yolky goodness everywhere. I can't stand it when other places say they can't do it and give me that wrinkled fried egg

The bean sprouts are buried at the bottom of the bowl, not served on top. Not sure if this means the volume of food is reduced. Overall quality is decent. The other dishes here look pretty good too. It does not come with tofu, so I added some (another $4!) to my small size. The pho came out in less than 10 minutes. The pho came with lots of veggies (lots of broccoli, plus cauliflower, carrot, celery, white onion and green onion), plus lots of rice noodles, and tofu. Of course, the broth is usually what makes or breaks a pho, and this was one of the most low-effort, lamest vegetable broths I've tried in Greater Vancouver (and I've tried over 90 pho places in the Metro area that have veggie pho options). In fact, I saw the woman fill up my pho bowl from the hot water dispenser. So, they don't even bother to have a proper veggie broth; they just base the broth on hot water, with maybe some salt and possibly some other spices? The broth tasted like barely salted water. Super lame. Embarrassing product to serve. The value is bad given the very lame quality. I like that they have a veggie pho option. The portion is big and you get lots of vegetables, though the lack of tofu is definitely a thumbs down given the already above average price for the pho. All in all, don't come here for veggie pho. 2 stars is very generous.
