Found this new boba shop that had recently opened and decided to give it a try. Their menus are fairly simple with a small list of options, so if you're indecisive like myself, this is great when figuring out what to get. I got one of their top signature drinks "Purple Yam Fresh Milk w/ boba + pudding" and of course my classic go-to "Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/ boba" as a safe option to try out. Jasmine Milk Tea: the tea itself had somewhat of an aromatic flavor, however, I wish there was a stronger tea flavor rather than an overwhelmingly sweet milky taste. The drink itself was also a bit too sweet for my liking even with 30% sugar but that could just be my own preference. Purple Yam Fresh Milk: the drink was creamy and not overly sweet. There are no artificial flavors and you can definitely taste hints of the purple yam as there are literal chunks of yam within the drink! Probably my favorite out of the two. Overall, both drinks are pretty solid. However, the boba pearls had a bland taste are too soft, lacking that chewy texture of how I'd prefer my boba pearls to be (I wouldn't say they're the best, but good enough to get that boba fix in). The shop itself rarely has many people inside, usually with no lines at all. Parking is also super easy since it shares a lot with the 168 Market and CVS. I have tried some of their other drinks and they are nothing to scoff at, but the peach tea with yakult foam really takes things to another level. The small bits of peach add tons of flavor that really elevates the drink. It is super yummy and is 100% my ultimate recommendation if someone were to only get 1 drink around the area. I've been back here several times since my first review. The purple yam with fresh milk is a standout, since it's more dense than any of the competition. For example, while MeetFresh has its highlights, their purple yam drink is totally watered down and... ew. When I get the drink here, I can taste and feel all the fibers of an actual sweet potato, and see that in the kitchen they have a dedicated container to hold the sweet potato puree. The drink has thickness and substance. That means it isn't artificial flavoring, and it isn't just a little bit of sweet potato for the appearance. Today, I decided to branch out a little and tried the oolong peach milk tea, half sugar. I liked that I could taste the tea through the sugar and milk, and I liked that the tea tastes like decent quality loose leaf tea. Obviously it won't be as high grade as something I would steep from the collection, but it isn't over steeped and bitter, nor watered down. The taste of the tea is distinct, nutty, with a peach undertone, aside the sugar and milk. Whatever they're doing, they're doing right. As per my previous review, the price can be a little on the higher side, but I've since come to the conclusion that it's totally worth it.
