Visited The Tea with my wife on a Saturday evening and it was pretty chill. There's two self ordering kiosks by the front desk which is always a nice sight to see. They have some tables but not enough for a place to hangout to be honest. Their whole concept is pretty much a open kitchen, order and walk to the back and wait for your order. Can get pretty cramped but that's just how their shop is designed. Parking - Free in a one way outdoor lot. If it's full, there's the plaza right next door and/or street parking, plenty overall. Their menu is quite extensive, from teas, boba, coffee, fruit teas, they've got it all. For first timers, they have a signature section which I think is basically their most popular drinks, they're all recommended to try. My wife and I ordered the Oreo Matcha Brulee and the Uji Matcha Latte to share, both came out pretty quickly, around 5 minutes or so. I'm a huge sucker for oreo matcha brulee type drinks and this place made it perfectly. Each sip is full of the ingredients, very refreshing, and perfect sweetness in my opinion with 30% - 60% sugar level. Overall, great tea shop, it's pretty ironic to find a place that's just called "The Tea" which can be hard to search up, but their drinks are high quality, staff is quick, and their shop is clean. Yelpers, you guys did me wrong. Had a crappy experience here. Filled with awkward silence, no greeting, blank stares..your typical Gen Z behavior. Add to that, a toasted tea that tasted nothing like Thai! And horrendous Nikki Minage blasting from the speakers. Oh, and there is no air con so it was uncomfortably stuffy in there and let us not even touch on the cleanliness...especially when there was more than one employee working--some could be cleaning. Came Back for Our Usual... Left With Feelings About Parking & Sugar Levels Hubby and I decided to circle back to one of our top 3 favorite boba spots (not that our list is super long lol), because after a delicious hot pot dinner we were seriously craving their Coco Mango. My drink was $6.95 and honestly worth trying if you want something fruity and lighter. Now for the Coco Mango... This drink usually never misses. The sweet coconut with that tart mango blend is usually chef's kiss every single time. We've probably been here close to 10 times, which is why I immediately noticed it tasted a little different last night. I ordered mine with the extra lychee popping boba (+$1), so total was $7.95, and I'd rate it around a 6.8/10 this visit. My husband always tells me to stop doing 70% sugar because "either commit or don't" and honestly... he might've been right this time. But even aside from that, both the coconut topping and mango felt less sweet than usual and just didn't have that bold flavor we normally love. Maybe it was because they were extra busy and moving fast -- totally understandable -- but it was the first time it felt a little less magical than usual. Still... one off night absolutely won't stop us from coming back because when that Coco Mango hits, it hits. PARKING: It's a big lot, just be careful going in and out. The intersection is bonkers. SEATING: Lots of seating inside for people who want to chat or just to wait around for the drinks. I'm giving them 5 start based on their coffee. I got the Seasalt Cream OG and 2 toasted brown sugar Boba milks. The coffee was amazing. My husband makes me a coffee from a phin everyday day for work and this is exactly what it taste like except the cream which elevated the coffee even more. We came back from Vietnam and the coffee in America has been subpar. This has been the only place that I would come back to consistently. Only for their coffee. My children like the Toastes Brown Sugar Boba and finished it quicker than most other places. There is a touch screen to order. Heard great things about The Tea so finally gave them a shot! They have a large menu, the inside has a few table seating in the front and some 2-seaters on the edges. We ordered a couple items from their signature menu, the matcha yuzu and the Oreo milk. We realized after ordering that the Oreo milk had no tea in it, there's one that is called Oreo milk tea so something to be aware of. Matcha was hand whisked but not super strong. I came here today with a friend to study and was deciding between the Coco Mango and the Pomelo Mango. I ended up choosing the Coco Mango. I honestly hate leaving negative reviews for businesses, but I was extremely disappointed with this drink. For nearly $8, the cup was filled with what felt like almost two cups of ice, a small amount of condensed milk and coconut milk, a light drizzle of mango, and only a few mango pieces. The drink did not feel worth the price at all. In areas with a lot of strong competition, restaurants and drink shops naturally have to improve their quality because customers have plenty of better options to choose from. Competition pushes businesses to become more creative, improve their recipes, and provide better value. But when customers continue supporting a place regardless of the quality, there is very little pressure for that business to change. Why improve the product when people keep buying it anyway? I hope they take customer feedback seriously. I would genuinely like to see them improve the portion size, flavor, and overall value of this drink. I only get two drinks here that are my favorite. The Uji Matcha and the Mellow Milk Tea with Boba (kind of like a regular milk tea). However, I have to get this drink at 60% sugar. The boba is definitely honey soaked, which means that I can lower the sugar amount in my tea and the drink will still be sweet enough. When the boba isn't sweet, it really ruins the experience of having boba with your drink. I haven't had a bad experience with my drinks so far, but $7.20 is a bit high, so I can't come that often. Parking is hard in the front as it's very very limited so park to the side covered parking structure. I walked in and was immediately slammed with an amazing sweet tea and boba scent. We were actually next door waiting for our mochi order and decided to walk over and kill the 45-minute wait here. Hubby ordered us drinks on the kiosk- No 18 Golden Mellow Milk Tea with oat milk 75% sweet with less ice and boba for me and the Toasted Thai Tea with crystal boba for himself. I had placed my order and I realized that I had completely forgotten to ask if the drink had boba included.. the gal at the counter asked me if I wanted boba in it and I said yes. We tried The Tea because my sisters-in-law recommended it if Sunright is too busy. I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea, house signature fresh fruit tea, and or-lichee. Honestly, they were just okay, nothing really stood out and the tea flavor wasn't very strong. I used to love this place. For some reason, either the quality has gone down or the recipe has changed, or the staff who were making those drinks were not properly trained. Oreo matcha brûlée was my go-to. But the drink looks significantly different now. The yellow hint of brûlée is no longer there; the Oreo is a big chunk and not fully blended. This spot is literally across the street from Ralph's supermarket. We decided to stop by to try it out. I ordered the coco mango and matcha I just can't remember which one :( You have milk options and the level of sweetness which is awesome. When we walked in we were greeted not too cheery but acceptable. The cashier was very nice though. She was very helpful and patient since we have never been there before 5 stars for her. A pretty good selection of teas and boba here. We tried this place for the first time this week. Nice, clean and decent in size, but the smell when we walked in was not pleasing to our olfactory senses. It smelled of some rancid grass or the smell you get of the hay mixed with animals at the stables. Aside from the smell, the drinks were pretty solid and definitely not too sweet. The Uji matcha is what initially drew me in as that is where some great matcha comes from. The drink was a bit gritty and definitely not sweet, as I ordered it with 30% sweetness (but it did taste to be unsweetened instead of 30%). The others said they liked and enjoyed their drinks.
