Visited The Tea with my wife on a Saturday evening and it was pretty chill. There's two self ordering kiosks by the front desk which is always a nice sight to see. They have some tables but not enough for a place to hangout to be honest. Their whole concept is pretty much a open kitchen, order and walk to the back and wait for your order. Can get pretty cramped but that's just how their shop is designed. Parking - Free in a one way outdoor lot. If it's full, there's the plaza right next door and/or street parking, plenty overall. Their menu is quite extensive, from teas, boba, coffee, fruit teas, they've got it all. For first timers, they have a signature section which I think is basically their most popular drinks, they're all recommended to try. My wife and I ordered the Oreo Matcha Brulee and the Uji Matcha Latte to share, both came out pretty quickly, around 5 minutes or so. I'm a huge sucker for oreo matcha brulee type drinks and this place made it perfectly. Each sip is full of the ingredients, very refreshing, and perfect sweetness in my opinion with 30% - 60% sugar level. Overall, great tea shop, it's pretty ironic to find a place that's just called "The Tea" which can be hard to search up, but their drinks are high quality, staff is quick, and their shop is clean. Yelpers, you guys did me wrong. Had a crappy experience here. Filled with awkward silence, no greeting, blank stares..your typical Gen Z behavior. Add to that, a toasted tea that tasted nothing like Thai! And horrendous Nikki Minage blasting from the speakers. Oh, and there is no air con so it was uncomfortably stuffy in there and let us not even touch on the cleanliness...especially when there was more than one employee working--some could be cleaning. Came Back for Our Usual... Left With Feelings About Parking & Sugar Levels Hubby and I decided to circle back to one of our top 3 favorite boba spots (not that our list is super long lol), because after a delicious hot pot dinner we were seriously craving their Coco Mango. Super refreshing, the dragon fruit tasted fresh, and the jelly inside was such a nice touch. Definitely a solid 8.5/10 for me. My drink was $6.95 and honestly worth trying if you want something fruity and lighter. Now for the Coco Mango... This drink usually never misses. The sweet coconut with that tart mango blend is usually chef's kiss every single time. We've probably been here close to 10 times, which is why I immediately noticed it tasted a little different last night. I ordered mine with the extra lychee popping boba (+$1), so total was $7.95, and I'd rate it around a 6.8/10 this visit. My husband always tells me to stop doing 70% sugar because "either commit or don't" and honestly... he might've been right this time. But even aside from that, both the coconut topping and mango felt less sweet than usual and just didn't have that bold flavor we normally love. Maybe it was because they were extra busy and moving fast -- totally understandable -- but it was the first time it felt a little less magical than usual. Still... one off night absolutely won't stop us from coming back because when that Coco Mango hits, it hits. PARKING: It's a big lot, just be careful going in and out. The intersection is bonkers. SEATING: Lots of seating inside for people who want to chat or just to wait around for the drinks. I'm giving them 5 start based on their coffee. I got the Seasalt Cream OG and 2 toasted brown sugar Boba milks. The coffee was amazing. My husband makes me a coffee from a phin everyday day for work and this is exactly what it taste like except the cream which elevated the coffee even more. We came back from Vietnam and the coffee in America has been subpar. This has been the only place that I would come back to consistently. Only for their coffee. My children like the Toastes Brown Sugar Boba and finished it quicker than most other places. There is a touch screen to order. Heard great things about The Tea so finally gave them a shot! They have a large menu, the inside has a few table seating in the front and some 2-seaters on the edges. We ordered a couple items from their signature menu, the matcha yuzu and the Oreo milk. We realized after ordering that the Oreo milk had no tea in it, there's one that is called Oreo milk tea so something to be aware of. Matcha was hand whisked but not super strong. I only get two drinks here that are my favorite. The Uji Matcha and the Mellow Milk Tea with Boba (kind of like a regular milk tea). However, I have to get this drink at 60% sugar. The boba is definitely honey soaked, which means that I can lower the sugar amount in my tea and the drink will still be sweet enough. When the boba isn't sweet, it really ruins the experience of having boba with your drink. I haven't had a bad experience with my drinks so far, but $7.20 is a bit high, so I can't come that often. Parking is hard in the front as it's very very limited so park to the side covered parking structure. I walked in and was immediately slammed with an amazing sweet tea and boba scent. The tea is usually my go to spot but something unacceptable happened in my last visit. We ordered an avocado smoothie and popcorn milk tea. The popcorn milk tea was fine but the avocado smoothie had chunks of hard plastic in it. My girlfriend watched one of the workers take out a large chunk of plastic from her drink. I used to love this place. For some reason, either the quality has gone down or the recipe has changed, or the staff who were making those drinks were not properly trained. Oreo matcha brûlée was my go-to. But the drink looks significantly different now. The yellow hint of brûlée is no longer there; the Oreo is a big chunk and not fully blended. When I got the drink, it gave me the vibe that the staff over there are probably doing very poorly in school, because it didn't show any details. It is sloppy. I ordered the coco mango and matcha I just can't remember which one :( You have milk options and the level of sweetness which is awesome. There was nothing particularly good or bad about this teeth, but there are so many options in this area and it was a little expensive so I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come here again. Nice, clean and decent in size, but the smell when we walked in was not pleasing to our olfactory senses. It smelled of some rancid grass or the smell you get of the hay mixed with animals at the stables. Aside from the smell, the drinks were pretty solid and definitely not too sweet. The Uji matcha is what initially drew me in as that is where some great matcha comes from. The drink was a bit gritty and definitely not sweet, as I ordered it with 30% sweetness (but it did taste to be unsweetened instead of 30%). The others said they liked and enjoyed their drinks.
