Heytea is my FAVORITE boba shop lately. Their mochi yingde milk tea is too die for. (Too bad they've been sold out lately.) Their mochi is made with cheese and it's the best thing I've ever had. And I think compared to other places, their cheese cloud is tastier as well. One thing I dislike is that they generally only have one size and it's too small for me. The second thing I dislike is that they don't add much boba if you add it as an extra. It makes sense because the drinks are small but it's a dollar extra. This Heytea location is very small and located on the perimeter of Atlantic Times Square/across the street from Courtyard by Marriott. There is 1 self order kiosk on the left and just a counter for ordering/picking up drinks. No tables and it can get cramped and crowded when busy. I recommend ordering beforehand to pick up. I've tried their crisp grape boom and kale boost tea. I've never had a bad drink from them. I highly recommend their fruit drinks, it's super refreshing and they use real fruit. read more

Ordered the Cloud Coconut Blue which has a coconut milk base, blue spirulina, and cloud cream topping. It's a light and refreshing drink with creamy coconut milk that is pronounced and pleasant when mixed with the salty cream topping. Very simple shop with a digital kiosk to order or you can order from one of the major food apps. The service was really quick with the drink ready to go. The Monterey Park HeyTea is by far my favorite HeyTea in Southern California. Picking up your order is seamless. Performance is consistent. The workers are professional and efficient. I had an especially wonderful experience at this HeyTea today thanks to a worker named Yichun. Yichun was very helpful in helping me navigate the HeyTea app to use my Sparks to apply rewards to my order. She was so cheerful and happy to help. She also helped me get Sparks on my friends' orders as well (since they didn't want their points hehehe). There was no wait tonight, so we got our drinks immediately handed to us by Yichun as well. She also complimented my custom Doraemon sticker that I drew using the HeyTea app! The drinks, of course, are amazing. My personal favorite drink EVER is the Crisp Grape Boom, a delicious blend of jasmine green tea and grape juice that is miraculously only 120 calories! Every component in the drink is very well balanced. The slush is cold and refreshing without diluting the flavor. The sweetness of the grape juice complements the soft, floral jasmine tea in such an addicting way. And the pieces of grape at the bottom provide a satisfying "crisp" crunch! Recently, I've also really liked the King Jasmine Guava. The drink is incredibly fragrant. You get a punch the lime zest aroma simply by picking up the cup. You take a sip and are plunged into the sweet salted cheese cloud before breaking through to the wonderfully ripe guava drink, all the while being enveloped in their nine-scented King Jasmine Tea. Sweet, cheesy, ripe, complex, and fragrant. I almost feel bad drinking it because it feels like I'm cheating on the Crisp Grape Boom. And yes, it is that deep. The drinks are still really good. They have new smaller cups... There was this one day where their internet was down so they couldn't take orders. So the lady in front told us to order on the app. Which we did.. so we walked to Daiso while we waited for about 10 minutes and when we went back she just told us that the internet was still down.. Which I was so confused about because she told us to order on the app but either way .. what did the internet have to do with making my drinks. But I just said okay. I would check in every 10-15 minutes and every time I walked up to the store she would hide her face with her hands. I was a bit annoyed because I had already paid for my drinks and I waited patiently for almost an hour, I'm not sure what the internet being down had anything to do with making my drinks. After an hour, I ended up just asking for a refund. Definitely expect a wait when you want to get a drink here but the quality is good. Also note most drinks don't come with boba by default, so you'll have to add it as a topping. Some drinks I've liked so far are the Kale Boost tea, the Yingde milk tea with mochi, and the guava tea. Coconut Mango Boom: The main problem living on the West Coast is that the mangos are just bland. The occasional mango drink purchased in other locations just tastes like syrup. HeyTea is the first establishment that made the drink taste like the mangoes found in Southeast Asia. Do they use a specialized syrup? Maybe. Do I care? No. The mango taste is as good as it gets, and the coconut adds a layer to keep things dynamic. HeyTea also gives an option to add tea (surprise) into the drink. This tea adds another layer of fragrance and taste complexity, which I really enjoy. Service: It takes a while for them to finish the drink because of high foot traffic. Order via mobile. They have an app if you would like to preorder to save yourself the wait. Our group our 4 came here after lunch and there was a crazy line. We decided to order on the app. We thought we were smart to avoid the line, but apparently there was still 50+ drinks in front of us, and an ETA of 30 minutes. That is a crazy long amount of time to wait for tea. Anyways I had the Supreme Matcha Latte ($7.99) and after the long anticipation... I was a little underwhelmed about the results after waiting for so long. There are so many other places that have better matcha than the one I had. I know one of our friends said they didn't like their drink, but had like other drinks here in the past. Sounds like a hit or miss. I'm going to judge them based on my experience and I think it's pricey with a ridiculously long wait, and my drink was about average tasting. The reason for the line isn't because there are not enough workers. The person at the front just will NOT hand you the drink for some reason. I showed my order number. I saw my drink sitting there on the counter. I stood there for 5 minutes why they wouldn't just put a lid on and hand it to me. Stood there for 5 more min as the continued to prepare other drinks and my drink is still just sitting there with a bunch of other drinks. People waiting. My aunt in China told me she loves HEYTEA and that we must have some in the States. I swore up and down I've never seen or heard of it... then came back from a trip this past November to find that we, in fact, have HEYTEA. Shows what I know. Was kind of sad to see they didn't have the same purple rice and mochi milk tea but did have a similar mochi-only one (I think it was a Longjing Milk Tea). Also tried the standard milk tea with bobo (boba), Grapefruit Boom, Kale Boost Tea, both Crisp Grapw Booms, and plain Jasmine which was lovely and super fragrant. I think you have to order using their app when going in person, and it's easier to anyway cause the shop is tiny and every time we've gone, there's been a lot of people crowded inside and out waiting for their drinks. Okay, so I've been hearing about this place lately and decided to give it a try. I stopped by on a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy. Ordering was simple since it's done through the app, but from the time I placed my order to when I received my drink, it took about 42 minutes. I ordered the Cloud Jasmine Tea with boba. The drink had a nice balance of flavors and was reasonably priced, which I appreciated. That said, after finishing it, I felt like something was missing. Neither the tea nor the boba really stood out or felt memorable. It was good, just not great. Service-wise, the staff member working the front was doing her best handling customers and making drinks at the same time. It honestly seemed like they were short-staffed, as there didn't appear to be much order inside, with customers trying to get her attention and ask for updates. Having an additional staff member dedicated to customer service probably would have made the experience smoother. Overall, I'd still recommend giving this place a try, especially since I believe they recently opened. I'd be willing to come back on a less crowded day and see if the experience feels different. They've been in the USA since December 2023, with their first location in New York City, followed by their first West Coast location in Beverly Hills in July 2024. This location in MPK opened in May 2025. We always want to stop by Heytea before heading to AMC, but there's usually a long wait. I recently discovered their app! While watching Avatar: Fire and Ash, I asked my wife what she wanted, and she mentioned a HEYTEA × POP MART x Twinkle Twinkle collaboration her friends had recommended, specifically raving about the Tiramisu Rich Chocolate ($8.99). She ordered it with the default amount of ice and less sugar. Made with mascarpone cheese foam, cocoa, and black tea, it's a dessert-like experience. They even give out a paper bag with a Twinkle Twinkle character for those who order it. She loved it! It's packed with caffeine, though. I wanted a drink but didn't want caffeine. I ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea (Original) for $7.49, cold with ice and less sugar. It was perfect - a bit sweet, but not too much. Thanks to it being caffeine-free, I got to bed on time. When ordering through the app for the first time, they offer several coupons. I used a 25% off coupon for my wife's drink and another 15% off coupon for mine, five minutes later. It's great that you don't have to wait to use another coupon! Hey Tea, located in Monterey Park off Atlantic Blvd in the same plaza as AMC and Daiso, is a new tea spot serving up some delicious tea. It was my first time here and I have heard many people talking about this place. I think it came from another country, and they decided to come to America to open stores here. Overall the variety of the menu seems like anyone would enjoy the drinks. You can adjust of course the level of sweetness and also the ice level as well. I got a special drink which was Wicked theme and it was delicious. The only downside may be that it's not really a place you can hang out and the drink. Theres no food served at this boba shop. The service is ok, however, for regulation on orders, it's pretty bad. I understand that there's certain events and collabs that take place for a while, however, the wait is insane! I waited for an hour and 30 minutes for 3 drinks for my collaboration drinks. The collab drink was the tiramisu milk tea. I got it with less sugar. Its a nice light tea with the flavor of tiramisu. The ambiance is average with music and people talking over each other. The only thing I recommend is to order online if you can and I don't think I'll order again unless the hype dies down or it's a slow day for them. TIP: There's no restrooms here! For the tea itself I would say that it's one of the better, higher quality ones I've tried. The boba is good too, but not so outstanding. Out of all the boba places in this area, this is definitely one of the better ones. The prices are higher than other places though, so it's not as casual as the other places either. Aside from them bringing your drinks out, it's pretty much no contact since they also have a kiosk inside for you to place your orders. There's no seating inside, only a small waiting space so all there really is inside is the counter. Tea here is good and they seem to have different seasonal drinks that are different from other places.
