Love Heytea's drinks but I have to admit they are on the pricy side! I stopped by this location at Atlantic Times Square for a post-lunch drink. It's a small storefront meant for to go orders only, as there's zero seating. As with the rest of the restaurants and shops, parking is shared in the massive garage underground. I ordered at the kiosk and waited ~10 minutes for my order. They were constantly churning out drinks (mostly ordered online), so they are popular. It was a hot day out (100+ degrees!), so I got the guava green grape ($7.99) to cool down. I've gotten this drink before at other locations and it was just as good as I remember. Ok I can understand the hype now behind the mango coconut cloud drink. It's amazing!!! It was the perfect blend of coconut and mango. It was so smooth and delicious! 3 stars I think the beverages are decent, but the execution can be pretty bad. The first time I tried Hey Tea was probably in 2025 when they had a BOGO promo for the Matcha Cloud Blue Coconut juice. I remembered really liking the beverage b/c of how refreshing it was on a hot day. BUT, I also remembered waiting 45 minutes for my drinks while premade drinks were kinda just sitting on the counter. More recently, I came in for the Matcha Cloud Blue Coconut drink and I got my drink within 5 minutes of ordering. There were no promos that day. The drink was good, but it's not $7.99 good. First time visiting Heytea. This location is at the Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park. Its front entrance is facing Atlantic Blvd. Free indoor parking available at the square... entrance to parking garage can be made on Atlantic Blvd or Hellman Ave. I prefer the latter as it's less congested. Only one self-order kiosk for use. You may order at the counter or scan to order as well. I chose the kiosk. Easy to maneuver through the screens. Payment by credit card. They weren't super busy. Although wait time for my drinks was a tad longer than expected. Maybe they were attending to other orders made online. Btw, shop is very small with no seating inside or outside. No restrooms either. It's pretty much for take-out only. I got 2 drinks... one Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and one Coconut Mango Blue. Unfortunately, they gave me the Crisp Grape Boom (hot) instead of the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea in error. Not sure how they could have mistaken the drinks since I didn't order any hot drinks. Love Heytea, hate this location. I came to Heytea because of the promotion they had for the soccer magnet and this was my first time at this location. What is that smell?! This was my first reaction as I stepped foot into the store. The scent of fresh jasmine tea permeating to my nose was absolutely intoxicating. Whatever air freshener Heytea uses, I want it. The shop is not too big, and there are two kiosks you can order from towards the left hand side of the store. You may also order with the cashier at the register if you prefer. My favorite thing about Heytea is that they have a zero calorie sweetener option. I always order it with my Grapefruit Mango Boom. The tartness of the mango and grapefruit is perfectly balanced with the coconut jelly and milk. Mix it all together and voila!!---a creamy fruity party in your mouth. I have also tried their Milk Tea with boba. The tea flavor is pleasant with a very creamy base. The boba however was disappointing. It was very overcooked and lacked chewiness. The Monterey Park HeyTea is by far my favorite HeyTea in Southern California. Picking up your order is seamless. Performance is consistent. The workers are professional and efficient. I had an especially wonderful experience at this HeyTea today thanks to a worker named Yichun. Yichun was very helpful in helping me navigate the HeyTea app to use my Sparks to apply rewards to my order. She was so cheerful and happy to help. She also helped me get Sparks on my friends' orders as well (since they didn't want their points hehehe). There was no wait tonight, so we got our drinks immediately handed to us by Yichun as well. She also complimented my custom Doraemon sticker that I drew using the HeyTea app! The drinks, of course, are amazing. My personal favorite drink EVER is the Crisp Grape Boom, a delicious blend of jasmine green tea and grape juice that is miraculously only 120 calories! Every component in the drink is very well balanced. The slush is cold and refreshing without diluting the flavor. The sweetness of the grape juice complements the soft, floral jasmine tea in such an addicting way. And the pieces of grape at the bottom provide a satisfying "crisp" crunch! Recently, I've also really liked the King Jasmine Guava. The drink is incredibly fragrant. You get a punch the lime zest aroma simply by picking up the cup. You take a sip and are plunged into the sweet salted cheese cloud before breaking through to the wonderfully ripe guava drink, all the while being enveloped in their nine-scented King Jasmine Tea. So the lady in front told us to order on the app. Which we did.. so we walked to Daiso while we waited for about 10 minutes and when we went back she just told us that the internet was still down.. HeyTea is the first establishment that made the drink taste like the mangoes found in Southeast Asia. Do they use a specialized syrup? Maybe. Do I care? When there are BOGO offers, the line gets ridiculously long and it's hard to know when your order is ready because there are so many drinks that they are working on. I would recommend ordering through their mobile app if possible. A self-order kiosk is available inside, but I see most people order at the register instead. These are my top drinks: Triple Supreme Matcha Latte: high-quality matcha drink with a creamy foam top that adds a nice, silky finish to each sip. They've been in the USA since December 2023, with their first location in New York City, followed by their first West Coast location in Beverly Hills in July 2024. This location in MPK opened in May 2025. We always want to stop by Heytea before heading to AMC, but there's usually a long wait. I recently discovered their app! While watching Avatar: Fire and Ash, I asked my wife what she wanted, and she mentioned a HEYTEA × POP MART x Twinkle Twinkle collaboration her friends had recommended, specifically raving about the Tiramisu Rich Chocolate ($8.99). She ordered it with the default amount of ice and less sugar. Made with mascarpone cheese foam, cocoa, and black tea, it's a dessert-like experience. They even give out a paper bag with a Twinkle Twinkle character for those who order it. She loved it! It's packed with caffeine, though. I wanted a drink but didn't want caffeine. I ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea (Original) for $7.49, cold with ice and less sugar. It was perfect - a bit sweet, but not too much. Thanks to it being caffeine-free, I got to bed on time. When ordering through the app for the first time, they offer several coupons. I used a 25% off coupon for my wife's drink and another 15% off coupon for mine, five minutes later. It's great that you don't have to wait to use another coupon! My aunt in China told me she loves HEYTEA and that we must have some in the States. I swore up and down I've never seen or heard of it... then came back from a trip this past November to find that we, in fact, have HEYTEA. Shows what I know. Was kind of sad to see they didn't have the same purple rice and mochi milk tea but did have a similar mochi-only one (I think it was a Longjing Milk Tea). Also tried the standard milk tea with bobo (boba), Grapefruit Boom, Kale Boost Tea, both Crisp Grapw Booms, and plain Jasmine which was lovely and super fragrant. I saw my drink sitting there on the counter. I stood there for 5 minutes why they wouldn't just put a lid on and hand it to me. Stood there for 5 more min as the continued to prepare other drinks and my drink is still just sitting there with a bunch of other drinks. People waiting. All u need to do is put be lid on and call the number... Once I saw her put the lid on... she still did not hand it to me. Okay, so I've been hearing about this place lately and decided to give it a try. I stopped by on a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy. Ordering was simple since it's done through the app, but from the time I placed my order to when I received my drink, it took about 42 minutes. I ordered the Cloud Jasmine Tea with boba. The drink had a nice balance of flavors and was reasonably priced, which I appreciated. That said, after finishing it, I felt like something was missing. Neither the tea nor the boba really stood out or felt memorable. It was good, just not great. Service-wise, the staff member working the front was doing her best handling customers and making drinks at the same time. It honestly seemed like they were short-staffed, as there didn't appear to be much order inside, with customers trying to get her attention and ask for updates. Having an additional staff member dedicated to customer service probably would have made the experience smoother. Overall, I'd still recommend giving this place a try, especially since I believe they recently opened. I'd be willing to come back on a less crowded day and see if the experience feels different.
