It's been incredibly hot and humid lately, so luckily there are plenty of places in the SGV to grab a refreshing drink! I arrived right when Auntea Jenny opened at 11:30am, so there was hardly any wait. I ordered the Jasmine Matcha Green Tea and really enjoyed it. It was smooth and fragrant, and I could taste both the matcha and jasmine without either flavor overpowering the other. I opted for half sugar, and even though it was a hot day, the Chinese in me still requested half ice. My only complaint is the extra lid they put on top of the drink. Since it's already a cold drink, I'm not sure it's necessary and it just creates additional waste. Maybe it's done for aesthetic purposes? This is definitely more of a grab-and-go spot. There are only a bench, a couple of small chairs, and a tiny table inside, so don't expect to settle in for a long time.
Love trying new boba chains, and this one's a keeper. We've crisscrossed Taiwan and Singapore sampling boba shops on both sides of the strait, so we don't say this lightly: the pomelo mango sago is a perfect dessert in a cup. Chewy, tangy mango puree and fruit, plus perfectly QQ agar agar pearls (寒天). My wife said it rivals a dessert shop we used to frequent in Singapore that's saying something. Portion size is generous too, great for sharing during a study session or Netflix binge. The tea shoppe is cozy and the staff is friendly wanting to make sure the order is received on time. Well-lit interior. The jasmine lemon green tea is light, refreshing, and not overly sweet -- jasmine and lemon come through nicely. Only wish: a touch more tannin for a firmer backbone. Enjoyed my Mango Sago Smoothie so much that I had to get 2 more the day after via dine-in experience! They're open daily - Mon-Thurs - 11:30am-11pm - Fri-Sun - 11:30am-12pm Parking was difficult since it's located inside a busy plaza so parking is very limited but there is nearby street parking. However, that was hard too since there were lots of apartment complexes. Inside was very small so definitely not a good study spot but there are a few chairs and tables. Upon arrival, it was a bit busy since I went on a Friday night but it helped that there was a self-serve kiosk, as well, as a staff taking orders at the register. It would be nice if there was an additional self kiosk though. Service was pretty fast and friendly despite it being busy. Prices were reasonable and most drinks were $6-$7 There was a good variety of milk and fruit teas, as well as coffee and matcha drinks. Loved that they do sugar and ice adjustments! Also, there is a good variety of toppings for +$0.99. (sago - +$0.49!) Mango Pomelo Sago ($6.99 - regular & $7.99 - large) Got it with 70% sugar (that's the best recommended sugar level) and it wasn't too sweet. The mango was so fresh and had huge chunks of real mango! The pomelo wasn't too sour and the sago was so soft. The drink was so fruity, delicious, and refreshing. This is definitely one of my favorite Mango Pomelo Sago from all the boba shops I've been to - Yifang & Macu Tea. Overall, I really enjoyed my takeout and dine-in experience so I'll definitely return and recommend!
The space inside is pretty small, with only about 3-4 tables, so I'd recommend ordering through the app or getting your drinks to go. Parking is plentiful since it's located in a plaza, so that was definitely convenient. The drinks were good overall, and they have a decent selection of options. Just a heads up, they don't serve boba here, so don't come expecting the typical boba shop experience. The drinks themselves were solid, but there wasn't anything that really stood out as super unique or special. Overall, it's a solid place to grab a drink if you're in the area, but probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.
Kale fiber boost tea was good but had a more lime forward note. Will have to try other menu items in the future. Drink was $7 which is average amongst other spots.
Peach season is here! So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their new peach drinks which consist of their peach grapefruit jelly jasmine tea which was like a slushee and was nicely fruity, refreshing, had a lot of grapefruit pulp and jiggly soft jellies and mostly tasted like grape fruit. And their peach oolong fresh milk tea daifuku and it was perfectly sweet, milky, peachy, and yummy, with silky jelly milk mochi at the bottom. I also got their number one selling mango pomelo sago which was not too sweet, mellow, mangoy, with some pomelo pulp and big boba sagos. Overall these were lowkey pretty good. A friend recently hosted a boba taste test, and Aunt Jennie's was one of the top contenders, so I had to see what the hype was about. I originally went in for the mango drink, but they were sold out, so I ordered the Strawberry Daifuku instead. I got the recommended 70% sweetness, and it was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised how bright and tangy it was. I was expecting something that leaned more like sweet strawberry milk, but it had a fresh flavor that was balanced really well by the chewy mochi topping. It was refreshing without being overly sweet. A couple of downsides: the shop was uncomfortably hot while waiting inside, and the customer service felt cold and standoffish for such a cute store. I also noticed the restaurant has a B health rating. Overall, the drink exceeded my expectations.
I usually get the basics such as Premium Jasmine Tea Latte which is good. This time I tried the White Champaca Oolong Tea Latte but it had a somewhat weak flavor, too milk heavy. The cups are great and space is small inside, but they added little tables and chairs recently so it's more comfortable. Love and wink!
I got the green grape jelly Jasmine slush and while I already got less sugar, I found it way too sweet. There isn't too much seating but there is still 3ish small tables with 2 chairs.
I've tried the auntea Jenny location in flushing, and I love it, so of course when I'm in the west coast I have to try it as well!! We got the: -Jasmine milk tea: delicious, can't go wrong with this! I always get 50% and I find it perfect -Mango pomelo sago coconut drink: I love all the toppings on this. Everything came together so well. You can order on the kiosk so everything is quick and efficient!

We ordered the Signature Red Glutinous Rice Fresh MilkTea, Mango Pomelo sago, and White Champaca Oolong Tea. Loved all of it. This is one of the best mango pomelo sago I've had. You can taste real mango and pomelo fruit chunks in the drink. I loved how it wasn't too sweet and you could taste all the individual flavors. The Signature Red Glutinous Rice Fresh Milk Tea was so good - I loved it. Milk tea was perfect. The oolong tea was strong ( I got it with 0% sugar). Tea shop is quite small, but there is a self order kiosk that you can order from. The egg tarts also looked so delicious - have to try it next time. Parking was quite limited in this plaza, but we were lucky to score one when we arrived.
Another contender to the many, many other tea places in this block (or strip mall rather, as there are multiple in the same plaza too). This place has decent tea and you get the typical ability to customize sugar and ice levels like other places. I just wanted to have a quick refresher for a hot day, so this place did its job with the jasmine lemon tea without the long wait.
I have given this place prob 2-3 tries already. Yesterday, will be the last. All 3 times, the drinks were NOT GOOD. First time was a few days after their grand opening. They only offered milk drinks. My family thought it was whatever. I didn't think it was that great. The flavor was so light. Could hardly tasted anything. Came back yesterday. I noticed that they offered peach tea. The tea was very light. Almost like drinking water with a hint of peach. The only one that was good was the Lemon Iced tea lol I guess it's the most simple one to make. I also ordered their milk tea with red rice. I didn't try it, but was told that it was pretty bland. I ordered online yesterday. When I finished checking out, the order said will be ready in an hr!!!!! An HOUr??? WTH I went there a bit earlier...there wasn't even a line lol the staff told me that they didn't finish brewing the tea. I was fine with it. I was like OoO...gonna get fresh tea lol but all drinks were almost teaLESS! I said it before...there are so many boba shops in the area. Quality must be good to stick around...

I ordered a white champaca oolong tea with cheese foam and boba this past weekend. After finishing half of it, I came across TWO strands of hair that were tangled within one of the boba pearls. I was so grossed out since I had already finished most of the drink. Also worth noting that I did see two of the workers wearing hair nets so not sure where or how they went wrong. I gave Auntea Jenny some grace and reached out through their website and Instagram DMs before posting this review, with no response after a few days. A bit unfortunate since before that, I was enjoying the drink. read more

DRINKS: Jasmine Lemon Tea 5/5 Grape Crystal Jasmine Tea 4.5/5 30% sugar. Bf likes it. I think it's not bad. Although I thought it was getting a smoothie drink, but it's not. More of a 4.25 out of 5 for me. Taro Boba Fresh Milk Tea 4.25/5 30% sugar. Not bad. Fairly good Da Hong Pao Lemon Tea 3.75/5 50% sugar. It reminds me of "Duck Shit Lemon Tea". (Yes, I know the name is unappealing, but that is what it's called). It may be different types of oolong tea bases from different regions and the flavor profile is suppose to be different, but it tasted similar to me. Anyways, it was so-so for both of us. Personally, I think the Jasmine Lemon Tea is way better. PASTRIES: Taro & Red Glutinous Rice Egg Tart 4.5/5 The taro & red glutinous rice are topping for the drinks. They just put it on the egg tart. Can also get it as a plain egg tart by itself. Got this one to try and it was fairly good. read more

This plaza and the surrounding area was such intense competition for milk tea LOL. Felt like every few miles you could find tons of milk tea store from the small local ones to the big global brands. Auntea Jenny was one of the relatively new kid on the block, and as expected successfully drew the crowd. Definitely pre order online to skip the line; as the venue was pretty packed and humid. Very limited seats anyway, so most likely you would have your drinks for to go. We got their Premium Jasmine Milk Tea and Da Hong Bao Milk Tea, with default 70% sweetness and light ice. We loved both of 'em and thought that it really depended on your tea preference to decide which one's better, either you loved something more fragrant and floral or more darker roast one. YMMV, but we fancied the default 70% sweetness with easy ice as it just suited our palate well. The tea flavor of both drinks were solid and for us, Auntea Jenny made itself a strong contender in LA's milk tea battle for sure based on flavor and price! read more

I had a good experience at Auntea Jenny (San Gabriel). I ordered the Classic Mango Pomelo Sago ($7.79 - Large - Recommended 70% Sugar). I enjoyed its flavor of chill, fresh mango. YUM! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Card or contactless payment only. Also, this is primarily a To-Go Spot. The seating is extremely limited.) I arrived at Auntea Jenny (San Gabriel) on Thursday (around 11:43AM). Parking is simple since there's an underground parking structure. I quickly found a spot. Customers order at counter; there's no self-service kiosk. Staff is polite and professional. Staff is always working since this location is very popular with online orders and "to-go" pickups. As mentioned, I'd ordered the Classic Mango Pomelo Sago ($7.79 - Large - Recommended 70% Sugar). I loved this same drink from the City of Industry location, so I knew what to expect. The flavor of fresh mango and chill coconut milk always soothes my throat and makes me feel reinvigorated. Also, its crystal pearls give a friendly "pop" whenever I bite into them. This drink continues to be one of my favorites. YUM! On ambiance, Auntea Jenny (San Gabriel) felt awkward. I don't know if Staff knew (perhaps from limited English) but the loud music on their speakers was rap with a lot of profanity and expletives. This music style was nonstop. It was surreal. Auntea Jenny (San Gabriel) is also very small with no visible bottle of hand sanitizer, no visible trashcan (I had to hand my trash to a Staff member), and no indoor restroom. It's a tiny, relatively clean place. There's only one short bench and one tiny table with two chairs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I enjoyed my Classic Mango Pomelo Sago, and it continues to be one of my favorites. I left happy. 4.7 out of 5 read more

Busy but efficient loved how we got our drinks fast here! They have a ton of variety and actually obsessed right now with their matcha line. Also for a boba shop I'm pretty surprised and excited about the healthy options I had to try the multigrain fiber drink. Very much tasted like corn milk tea and I'm obsessed. For the tea- I love the jasmine lemon tea- citrusy and with enough floral notes from the jasmine tea this is very refreshing. The Strawberry green milk tea daifuku- is creamy and sweet and tart from the strawberries and that daifuku mochi is a pleasant surprise with every sip. This is a small location- best to order ahead and pickup and enjoy out! read more

The tea was okay. We got a buy one get one free deal to try their new drinks. I would say the tea is mild and similar or not as good as the teas I can make at home. We tried the Longjing tea latte which is a type of green tea but better. We also tried the Longjing green mochi fresh milk tea. I didn't love the mochi but they weren't terrible. They had a bit too much of a starchy taste for my preference. Maybe would have preferred if they were sweeter. The shop has some sitting space and the service was okay. I didn't appreciate seeing people spraying raid outside while we were in line to get tea though. read more
This place is BUSY. Unfortunately, the high volume of orders took a toll on the quality of the drinks. I paid for boba in my drink and got maybe a total of 7 pearl balls, which sucks since the boba is actually pretty good. The tea itself was slightly fragrant but was on the watery side. The workers were friendly. But i feel that there could be a better system to pick up drinks. Drinks are left on the counter and everyone overwhelms the one single worker packing drinks. Me being environmentally conscious...but Auntea Jenny provides a reusable bag to hold drinks in which seems very wasteful. Also the sink faucets are left turned on to the max, wasting tons of water every minute. read more
kale apple fiber chia seed boost tea, 30% sweet ($6.99) - 8/10. this was refreshing and sour (to my liking)! 30% was the perfect sweetness level. it's a great pick for a hot summer day. the cup that it comes with is very cute. signature red glutinous rice fresh milk tea, 50% sweet ($6.99) - 3/10. this was quite strange.. there is a generous amount of red rice (taking up half the cup) but the rice itself was a bit mushy and overly sweet. the black tea base wasn't good and i couldn't taste it. all i could taste is milk and sweet rice. i got my drinks within 10 minutes of ordering on a friday afternoon. the menu (items and prices) by the cashier doesn't match the menu on the kiosk nor the ceiling monitor which was confusing. i got $2 off coupon by signing up and ordering through their app. there is limited seating, maybe enough for 4 people i wouldn't come again given the many other options available in the area. read more

Tried the new Peach Oolong Fresh Milk Tea Daifuku and Peach Grapefruit Jelly Jasmine Tea! The Peach Oolong Fresh Milk Tea Daifuku was my favorite. It was creamy with a nice peach flavor, and the daifuku added a soft, chewy texture. The Peach Grapefruit Jelly Jasmine Tea was lighter and more refreshing, with a nice fruity and slightly citrusy taste. I got 30% sugar for both and thought it was perfect--not too sweet. Definitely worth trying if you love peach drinks! read more
This place was busy busy. It took some time for our drinks to arrive and they didn't have the power juice. Told us they didn't have the pins available but saw another staff give another customer one. The drinks was good and I won't complain because they had BOGO promo for the time being! Gotta love the BOGO. But I guess if it goes away, its a bit pricey for one drink. Depends on how much you crave it It's a small shop without many seating and everyone was standing outside in the parking lot waiting for their drinks. The orders were stacked up. Came here with family on Sunday afternoon. Not super crowded. I got the lemon jasmine tea with 30% sugar level. It was very refreshing and perfect sugar level for my taste. Would come back for another refreshing drink on a hot day. read more

Super glad I got to try the Auntea Jenny's San Gabriel location without having to drive all the way to Rowland Heights! I ordered the Premium Matcha Daifuku Cheese Foam w/ mochi. The matcha was good and not as sugary compared to other cafes. Minus 1 because of the foam. I see the foam but it's not tasting like cheese :c The mochi was soft and stretchy -- absolutely love that . I'd definitely would come back to try their other drinks ! read more

Service was quick. There was a kiosk where we were able to quickly order our drinks. Space was limited inside and there was already a bit of a crowd waiting for their drinks. After waiting for a while for our drinks, we finally received them. I really like the mango pomelo sago. There was definitely a good amount of the mango and pomelo chunks inside. I could feel a good amount of the pearls as well. It is definitely a refreshing drink to try. read more

Went to try auntea jenny for the first time and got the matcha series. They had 3 different matcha drinks for the premium matcha. I opted for the two iced ones. I enjoyed the matcha boba fresh milk tea more than the matcha daifuku cheese foam. I got it at 70% sweetness and it was still pretty sweet. But the boba here is really good!! They are cooked perfectly and had a nice chew to them. These two matcha drinks are very heavy in dairy so bring lactaid!! The place has one table and a small bench to sit. Highly recommend that you order ahead of time, online, then come and pick it up. There is a pretty fierce competition in this area, specifically, this plaza, if you are looking for milk tea. So Auntea Jenny is bold for that move. I give them credit for that. The plaza can get a little bit crazy, especially with drivers being so rude and everything, but the ordering process online, was quick, the staff was kind of helpful? I walked inside, and wanting to pick up an order, and I walked all the way to the side, only for the staff to tell me to go to the front. Like she was watching me do all of that, but she could've just told me ahead of time? I was a bit confused because the store wasn't busy either, so I don't know how to feel about that. The tea was pretty decent, the one I had in Irvine was magical, and even having 2 cups here, didn't feel as magical. I don't know, maybe it was the weather, or what I ordered? But they do have pretty good deals sometimes. The ambience itself, you're not going to be expected to die in here. This is purely a grab and go spot. read more
Auntea Jenny is so good and can taste it is premium quality. My husband who drinks a lot of boba milk tea also said it is high end. He liked their strawberry drinks like the strawberry daifuku with mochi and also their premium green tea. The drink packaging was nice. I enjoyed the red rice drink. I'm excited they are opening in the SGV ! I want to come back and try the mango drink. The plaza has lots of underground parking which is nice. The staff were friendly. read more
