However, I asked for packing service, and the movers had not been told this. Before the move, I had confirmed that I needed my things packed with the office staff three times: once via email and in two separate phone calls. When the movers arrived with no boxes or packing supplies, I had to run around shoving my belongings (including my dishes!) into garbage bags. It was a rough start to my very long day of driving a moving van across the country! I provided feedback to New City Moving about this problem twice, once via email and another via their text survey. It's been three weeks since the move, and I have not received an acknowledgement or an apology.

They rolled into my place like two boss ladies ready to get down to business (but not in a scary way lol)! They put on a fun playlist and took charge, which is what I like and needed. They let me help (obviously not required, but desired on my part to learn) and taught me helpful tips and tricks along the way to maintain the organization. Best of all, they knew how to prioritize my projects in the order that made most sense, and maximized efficiency and my time with them. Not a minute wasted and no stone (aka leftover crap I didn't need anymore) left unturned! AND, like, how helpful and convenient it is that they haul away as many donations for you as they can when they leave?! At the end of the day (literally), I had the best nights sleep that I'd had in years, knowing that there was (finally!) a place for everything and everything in its place. Not only did M2O grant me peace of mind, they motivated me to keep going and see what I can accomplish on my own with what I learned from them. And the productivity levels on all the DIY projects I've set aside over the years are through the roof! My home is, now, finally the way I want and need it to be- it is first and foremost, my sanctuary. Thanks to M2O! But don't worry, I would never claim to be a 'Master Organizer' like them though- there are still some projects that seem just too overwhelming to undertake myself...like where do I even start?! Not all furniture was coming and everything else was already boxed up. Per his request I sent photos of our big items (furniture, tvs. Etc) and he told me a 20ft truck would do. The morning of our move was a nightmare. We were told 3 movers were coming and it would take 4 or 5 hours. 2 movers showed up late and it took longer. The movers were very nice and helpful. Found out they were contracted out from different company. The truck was not big enough and we were left struggling on what to do. They had it already packed. The only option we had left was to rent a trailer from uhaul to attach to the truck. We still weren't able to take all of our stuff. We sold our house and had to be out with all our belongings. We were moving out of state. We ended up giving away free a whole bedroom set and other items. What should of taken us a day. Turned into 2 1/2 days of extra money, giving away our good furniture and stress. Not worth what we paid and very unprofessional. DON'T HIRE.
