We had a great experience with Good Move Movers! The move was seamless at both houses, and everything went incredibly smoothly from start to finish. The team made the entire process easy and stress-free, and we really appreciated their professionalism and care. Thank you, Good Move Movers, for making moving day such a positive experience. This is the second time I have used Goodmove and again they did a terrific job. Malik and his chums turned up on time, moved everything effortlessly and finished ahead of schedule. If I ever move again, this is the company I would choose. Thanks guys. read more

We had a great experience. Good Move moved us out of a third floor walkup apartment. Packed up most of our kitchen including fragile items and were extremely diligent in how they packed items. They also disassembled and reassembled our power recliner couch with no issues. Communicated well, were very efficient the day of the move. We were very happy with the service and price. read more

I'm so happy I hired them for my Moms move! I looked at 17 different moving companies all at different price points. While Good Move's rate was higher, it included everything; wrapping, blankets, disassembly, tape, etc. There was no billing "trickery" like many other movers. Just upfront and honest! Their quote was spot on! They were: *On time. *Courteous and extremely pleasant. *Very respectful. *Hard working. The 3 gentlemen Good Move sent were really awesome and I can't say enough great things about them! I could have not asked for more. They deserve a 10 star rating! Thank you Good Move Movers! read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. From the initial phone call to the office to the end of the move a solid 10! These guys were awesome. They were respectful and careful with our things and walls. We had some very heavy and bulky sofas and they certainly worked hard to get them through doors and stairwells. I recommend them highly. Pricing was also very reasonable. read more

Good Move packed our 5 Bed / 3 Bath house on a Thursday and moved us on Saturday. Ricky and the rest of the crew were experts that treated all of our items with care, brought a great energy to a stressful weekend for us, worked hard for 12 hours (!) on Saturday, and never seemed to sit still the entire time. Chris, the owner, was quick to reply when I had any questions too. Good Move moved my grandparents about a month ago and us just now - both experiences were fantastic, and I would recommend them for both the top notch service and the low rates for anyone looking to move! read more

This is a quick review because my sister and I have so much unpacking to do. But we want to get it out on the Internet. I will write an additional review in the future. Goodmove Movers are wonderful! We want to rate them 100 stars but they only allow us 5 stars. Manny and his crew (family) were so respectful, business-like, thoughtful and understanding. All that and some humor, too! Everything is packed so carefully and neat! I am listening to my sister, as I writeThey were organized when we could not be. We are older women and dreaded this move. We could not believe when it was all done. We wanted to cry with gratitude! It was an added bonus that the final cost was less than the estimate! Thank you does not seem enough to say, but for now, thank you all so much! read more

Good Move Movers did an excellent job packing and moving us last week! Showed up on time, called 30 minutes before both days to give us an ETA, which kept us at ease! Fast , efficient and friendly. Took good care of our belongings. We are very thankful to everyone! Special THX to Manny and his crew as well as the owner of the company Chris, who always picked up his phone and answered any questions we had prior to our move. Will absolutely recommend them to our friends and family. A+++ COMPANY read more

Good Move Movers was recommended by the senior living community we were moving my mom into. What an awesome experience. I think they are used to working with senior citizens which is a plus. They confirmed my appointment before the move and also called when they were 20 minutes out on the day of the move. They rolled out the red carpet, literally, from the entryway over the carpeting to protect the floor. 3 guys arrived ready to move some furniture and made quick work of the entire process. All the men were so polite. When we arrived at mom's new home on the 3rd floor they carefully placed the furniture and boxes where we instructed. They could even fit a 7' sofa in the elevator! They set up her bed for her. One of the plastic legs on her sofa broke off a piece and they even glued or mended it for us. They really went above and beyond! I highly recommend Good Move Movers for any moving need! read more

Everything went wonderfully. On time, fully prepared, organized. First they loaded all items being moved onto the truck. Then they moved furniture from the second floor and basement to the first floor for later sale/ donation. Then they unloaded and set up the items being moved into the new home exactly where requested, and cheerfully relocated some items as when we changed our mind. The team was exceptionally efficient, professional and above all NICE. They treated my mother in law and her possessions like they were moving their own grandmother. Simply outstanding. Pricing was fully transparent and more than fair. We will use this company again and highly recommend it to all read more

Best move and best movers we ever had. Couldn't believe how everything got wrapped and protected. Manny and his team all worked so well together; they were hustling from start to finish. Super professional. read more

Good: The guys worked very efficiently and we're very pleasant. They were able to accommodate my unloading time during my move which I appreciated very much. Bad: I'm missing two large moving bags that contained my clothes and a large box that had bathroom essentials in it. The unloading was done while sellers were still moving their things out of the house so my things were stacked in a back room. I was unable to notice if anything was missing until days later after I started to unpack. I sent Chris an email, but he never replied. I texted the driver and he did reply stating that nothing was left on the truck. I'm not understanding how 3 fairly large items just disappeared. read more

I've let the dust settle before writing this review for our move in COVID 2020. We chose them based on a friend's recommendation. Chris is decent to deal with, but here are the details of the actual move that gets them a 3-star review. Full disclosure, I've used other movers before (with worse results) as well as having moved many times DIY, so I am not a moving noob. 1. Crew showed up 20 minutes later than the 1 hour morning window we were given. We were the first (only) move for this crew that day, so why start late? 2. Guys showed up in a rented truck with no indication it was Good Move. Even had guys riding in back of the box truck because they said they've been ticketed for having too many up front. Ever heard of a car? 3. Extra unexpected guy shows up in car (lol) and Chris says oh, I'll just charge you $ extra per hour and your move will go faster. Yeah, no that's not what we agreed to in advance. After a point, too many guys just get in the way. It ended up that one guy just spent 90% of the time standing in the truck arranging the items (poorly). 4. The standard box truck they sent just barely fit our items and they ran out of moving blankets. Thankfully I had some of my own otherwise several items were just going to be loaded with little or nothing around them. 5. A couple furniture items were dinged and glass items in boxes marked fragile on all sides were broken. Not cool. IMHO the way the truck was packed was largely to blame as I saw no dropping of items so the boxes must have had something heavy piled on them. Not enough to bother with a claim to them (30 cents/pound) or my own insurance, but it didn't need to happen given how thoroughly we packed everything in advance. 6. We had to keep after them to wear their masks when wrapping/loading, and they did not wear masks at all when unloading (we gave up asking). THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. The crew was friendly enough. They were your typical group of young guys who may or may not be doing this next year. Are there truly professional movers to be found anymore? Would I use them again? Probably not. I felt like I had to pay way too much attention, give too much direction to avoid damage, and didn't like the other surprises. The liability with movers is always on you anyway unless you buy insurance or are covered by your homeowners, so what I got beyond common labor and a truck was: tape, shrink wrap and moving blanket rental. Expertise? Nothing special. As always YMMV so if you decide to use them just know that you need to stay involved. read more

They cracked a tv and I am missing two boxes. The movers were not professional. They worked slow and acted like this was not their job to move. I would not hire them again. read more

Good move movers was the best moving company we've ever used. We have used them twice in the last 8 years. The team was professional, on time, careful with our stuff, and easy to work with from start to finish. I just moved with Good Move Movers, everything was so great. The team who moved us was the best. All the guys worked as though they were in charge; free to make decisions, never said no to something asked of them, constantly checked in to make sure all was well. Estimate and communication was top notch. The most efficient group of guys I have ever used to move us. Very happy I chose this company. I'll be moving again soon as this move is temporary and I will absolutely use Good Move again. read more

Great crew the day of the move. Assessed what was there and got to work. Did the job in about 2 hours less than I anticipated. The Good move movers that moved my In laws possessions into my house were excellent. They moved almost a full truck load from Elmhurst to Wheaton, they installed protective flooring material, they were very efficient, knowledgeable, professional and cared about others people property. I would highly recommend this moving company. In the end, Ricky, Freido, and Tony asked if there was anything else they can help with, they cleaned up, and explained the paperwork . Reasonable prices with outstanding service. read more

Because of most of the reviews and the feedback from a client, I contacted this company. The man who picked up (found out it was Chris, the owner), didn't say his name or Good Moves, his tone sounded like he was having a bad morning. I explained that my business was looking for reliable movers to partner with. We help boomers and seniors downsize and move. He didn't say much, I asked him why, he said 'I get a lot of telemarketers'. I told him that I wasn't a telemarketer. I gave him my business name. He said 'I know you work for the company, but what do you do?' I told him I owned the company, and had told him what we do. He wasn't listening. His tone was abrasive. The first impression was terrible. I would never refer my clients or senior living communities to him. We won't be using Good Moves Movers, nor referring to them. read more

I was very happy with the move; Manny and his crew were phenomenal to deal with and I would highly recommend these guys in the future

Horrible, lazy service and very unprofessional! Do not waste your time or money. The owner or manager Chris let's his workers lie on customers and act very unprofessional. The worst service I've experienced in a long time and that's saying something! Debbie read more

Our experience with Good Move Movers was exceptional from start to finish. When my Dad sold his home we began by researching reviews of services in the area, and it was time well spent. I called a few companies, but from my first interaction with Deanne in the office as well as my first call with Chris, the owner, I had a very good feeling about them. Chris was knowledgeable, and no request daunted him -- he was positive, friendly, very "can do" and easy going. On the day of the move Chris' team, with Manny as the lead, did an amazing job for my Dad. Not only were they efficient and skilled, they were also the nicest people, super warm and friendly, but also professional and very respectful of my Dad and his belongings. It may be the most pleasant move any of us have been a part of. Thank you, all! read more

Wonderful moving crew, but rude and condescending owner/manager. Charged me 40% more than the estimate, took advantage of a female senior!

Moving is stressful, especially when you're closing on two houses in one day. Every interaction with Good Move Movers was fantastic, and the entire process was smooth. My estimate was scheduled the same day I initially inquired, and I had a quote that evening. The price was very reasonable, and the communication leading up to the move was great. Since we were closing on the sale of our old house and the purchase of our new house on the same day, we had decided to move out on one day and move in the next. Chris was able to coordinate a hold-over for one night, which was something that other companies either would not do or charged a lot more for. On moving day, the team did a fantastic job of carefully wrapping and packing our things. They took care to keep the house clean, which was especially tough since it was raining during the move. The next day, the team arrived and unloaded our things into our new home. Everything was set up exactly where we wanted it, and the team was done quickly. The entire move ended up taking exactly as much time as they had quoted for, and I ended up paying exactly what was quoted. The entire experience was fantastic, and I absolutely recommend Good Move Movers! read more
