Highly recommend!! Hired this team to pack up my parents home, lots of furniture and boxes and they did a wonderful job. Very easy communication, they were able to get everything done quickly and efficiently and the price was very reasonable! read more

I had a good experience with HodgePodge moving. The team was able to accommodate my shorter notice scheduling, and they were very communicative when we had to move the appointment because of issues with our elevator reservation. Moving can be stressful so it was great that they were very responsive via email to help us plan. Movers came on time, and were professional and careful with all of our stuff. They were very nice guys and very communicative. We have quite a few live plants and everything was moved without any harm. Their rate was reasonable and I liked that we were able to tip on Zelle instead of having to use cash. They also offer rentals for reusable / eco-friendly boxes in case you don't want to produce waste with paper boxes. Their owner Miro followed up a few days later with a phone call asking on our experience and if we had any issues. It was unexpected but positive to get a personal follow up too. Finding movers was a stressful experience especially wading through other places spotty reviews. I would recommend Hodgepodge to anyone for the next move. read more

I hired HodgePodge to pack my daughter's belongings so they could be moved. Brian (the team leader), Eric and Zach did a wonderful job. They worked diligently, non-stop, except for short bathroom or cigarette breaks. They never stood about doing nothing. They always finished what they were doing quickly, efficiently and completely before beginning the next task. The owner, Miro, was easy to work with and helped me to schedule the work within the required, extremely tight schedule of less than a week from my first call. I highly recommend HodgePodge. read more

Incredible company, we have used a few moving companies, but this is the best. They stored half our belongings and helped us move to two different locations. Plus, I messed up and underestimated how much stuff we had, and they still worked through it and never made a big issue of it. Incredible communication, you won't find a better company. read more

Super responsive, flexible, and professional! We've used HodgePodge before and loved their moving services. Their people are meticulous and efficient. HodgePodge made the daunting task of moving easy, efficient and worry-free. It took less than 24-hours for someone to contact me after submitting a request and we had a date set for the move within another 24. Throughout the entire process, intake, the actual move and follow up post-move, HodgePodge personnel made were kind, understanding and extremely professional. If you're moving to or within Chicago, I'd highly recommend you give HodgePodge a try. read more

HIGHLY recommend this company for any/all moving needs!! I saw one of their trucks in my neighborhood downtown. I was in a last minute bind and when I got home called them to assist with moving out a large couch. I cannot speak more highly of this company and how pleasant, helpful and accommodating they were in assisting me in moving in such a large item in a short amount of time. It was so appreciated!! read more

Where do I start, professional, timely, and cost effective, the HodgePodge team taking all necessary measures to ensure health and safety during these COVID times. HodgePodge - Moving truck - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me

Moving is really stressful to me, so needless to say I was really anxious about it, but my move could not have gone smoother! My movers were Kyle, Wendell and Jarod. They were patient, friendly, but best of all efficient. These guys clearly work together a lot because they were in perfect sync with one another. Pam who managed me pre and post move was wonderful with me. After my move, Miro, one of the owners personally called me to ensure that everything went well. That was a nice touch! All in all, I am super thrilled with how my move went and can't thank HodgePodge enough. read more

Family run business, really friendly, and professional. I had a 6 piece leather couch removed from my place. They sent a team of two guys to do the removal. They were on time and called ahead when they were on the way. After the removal, I received a nice follow up call from Miro which I thought was really classy. I would definitely use them again. read more

Their professional company very nice management team I recommend this company to anyone looking to move some items to donate. Prices are reasonable. read more

If you're moving from Evanston/Chicago to another city then I strongly recommend HodgePodge! They are definitely one of the best movers I've come across - Miro is friendly, a great communicator and very accountable which I really appreciated. It's refreshing to have a single point of contact for a customer which you rarely get these days. I had just graduated from Northwestern and was moving for my new job - Miro gave me a reasonable quote for picking up my boxes, storing them for 3 months and then shipping them from Chicago to New York when I requested them. No hidden fees or minimum amounts for shipping which is so great. The boxes reached me on time and the payment process was also simple & convenient via PayPal. Excellent service and customer satisfaction, loved HodgePodge! read more

Recently used HodgePodge to help get rid of some old bedroom furniture. They were great! From the beginning they were responsive and had good follow up. When they arrived the guys were friendly and quickly removed the items. Would definitely recommend! read more

First off, I want to commend Miro and his business for the community work and ethics of "giving back." It's the reason why I chose to move with them. I noticed in his pictures that he participated in relief funds for disasters and repurposes/recycles the junk people want gone. He has a business ethics model with which I can identify. Secondly, but just as important, his prices were fair and his communication was efficient while being courteous. He is responsive and reasonable. No troubles with communication and organizing the move at all. Last and perhaps most important, his guys showed up on time (6 mins early) on the day of the move. Erik and Odell worked well with each other. They were both efficient and careful with our stuff. Erik is hearing impaired and I kept forgetting and sometimes saying things while standing behind him. However, that's my problem and not on him. Odell was personable and Erik is a very sweet person. As movers, excellent but also pleasant human beings. I did notice that Odell is a smoker but it isn't any of my business what he does on his own time. Just mentioning in case anyone else cares. There's an overload of dust and allergens with moving anyway so not a deal breaker for me. Oh! Odell was a godsend with having his tools with him! My hubby had gone to return our U-Box things and Odell took the legs/feet off my elliptical very quickly with great proficiency, with Erik's support, and we got the whole move done within our scheduled time without going over. Thank you, Miro, Odell and Erik! read more

I used HodgePodge to move to my new apartment. The communication was great, quick responses and willing to negotiate which is why I decided to go with this company over others. I liked that I was provided with a contract and knew what to expect at the time of the move. The movers were running behind, but that was fine with me as I still needed time to pack! Although I have a feeling that beyond traffic, the reason why the movers were late is that there was only two of them. I didn't have a crazy amount of stuff, but enough to make my move with a team of two way more challenging for them. However, despite being under-manned and myself having some very heavy furniture and some challenges with spacing, they were able to get everything into my new place pretty efficiently. I would consider HodgePodge for my next move! read more

Would 100% recommend. Friendly, accommodating, flexible, and considerate are just a few of the many attributes of the movers. I was dreading moving but HodgePodge made it so much less painful. I rarely review things but this company is worth it. read more

I reached out to HodgePodge Chicago after a coworker highly recommended them to me for my winter move during the pandemic. I also asked for their packing services to save me a week of packing on my own. Despite my luck with the poor weather, they were very flexible and easy to work with to reschedule to a time when the roads were finally open again. I had 3 movers and packers in my place and we finished at least an hour earlier within the same day. Saved me so much stress and time from moving and packing myself. Highly recommend! read more

I had a phenomenal experience with HodgePodge. I had a lot of stuff that needed to get disposed of, and hearing they do their best to recycle and repurpose everything was icing on the low cost cake. When the day came, they showed up on time (early actually, since their prior job finished early) and with great attitudes. I had a third floor apartment and no elevator, so this was not going to be fun for them. But they made the best of it. Non-stop positive attitudes, and non-stop work. It could not have been better! Totally worth it! read more

Miro and his team were incredible during the entire process! My fiance & I needed movers very last-minute (Wednesday) to move-out of our apartment in Irving Park to Lemont on that coming Sunday. Out of the 8 companies I reached out to, Miro was the only representative who immediately responded to my inquiry and scheduled a time to call to go over the details. Within a few hours after our call, Miro was able to put together a reasonable quote for us with the service agreement and we hired them the next day and put down our deposit. The morning of our move-out day, the team called us as soon they left to let us know their ETA to our apartment and arrived as promised (with a morning rain storm) per our agreement. Even with the weather, the team got the job done at a good pace and was also able to assist us in moving a few items to alley for trash. Fast-forward to the arrival in Lemont, the sun finally came out and the team was able to move everything in just an hour and 15 minutes shy of what we were originally quoted. Later that day, we did discover a few scratches on our wooden furniture that were not there before the move and were baffled as we thought we saw the team wrap all of our furniture and cover with blankets. A day or so later, Miro followed-up with us to ask how the move went. Once we shared the photos and just our minimal concerns, Miro was quick to apologize on behalf of the entire team, explained how they strive to be always careful with a customer's items on the job, and asked if there was anything to do remedy the mishap. We told him despite the little hiccup, everything else went well beyond our expectations so just knocking-off $30 from the remainder of the invoice would be just fine. Miro agreed and gave us great recommendations on how to conceal the small scratches. All-in-all, Miro and his team at HodgePodge Chicago gave us the best moving experience we've ever had and we couldn't recommend a better company than theirs! Thank you so much, Miro! read more

Head a great experience with HodgePodge. Moving from a third floor walk up to a second floor walk up. Friendly and courteous from the beginning, the Guys moved quickly but carefully to get difficult items such as a large sofa and king sized mattress. Nothing was damaged. They also took my furniture that I didn't want to put in as a donation. Saved me a step from having to find someone to take it. I was very happy with the service and I plan on using them again when moving my storage unit. read more

I've never hired professional movers and MAN am I glad we chose HodgePodge! Moving sucks but they made it seamless. From the beginning to the very end they were fast, efficient and friendly THE ENTIRE TIME. Even after moving up to the top floor (no elevator). I just recently moved into a high-rise apartment in the loop and hired HodgePodge as our movers. The experience was seamless, and the movers were very respectful, attentive and efficient. I've moved around a lot, and this time particularly, I had tons of furniture - and our movers wrapped everything properly prior to loading it in the truck to ensure there was no damage and unloaded and set up everything according to our instructions. I would definitely recommend them for future moves! read more

Miro, John and team are excellent! A year ago we used them to take away furniture and appliances for removal/donation when we bought new living room and family room furniture. Last week, we were downsizing and consolidating two houses. Based on our last excellent experience, we again contacted Miro. Everything from the accuracy of the quote to the complete professionalism of the teams were excellent with our latest move. We had two days of clean-up, donation, moving and the taking of furniture and boxes to storage. Throughout both days, John ran a team of 4 and 3 employees that were friendly, professional, clean and caring of our possessions. My wife and I would recommend this company for everything from a small pickup to a massive 2 day move. Thanks guys!!! read more

A year ago when I moved into my condo I decided to do it myself and rent a u haul. We were on the third floor and it was a back breaking nightmare. This time around I knew I was going to hire someone. HodgePodge was the perfect fit. They were on time, friendly, and efficient. Everything fragile was bubble wrapped and organized correctly in the truck. They also took several items that we were planning to trash and instead donated them on our behalf. An excellent value, and I will be using them again. read more

HodePodge was awesome! I've had some disastrous moves in the past with other companies but HodgePodge was excellent. I had a crew of 4 guys with two trucks and they were very professional. They were able to move a 2bd condo in 4 hours! They handled all my furniture with care and made sure everything was protected during the move. I would highly recommend using HodgePodge for your next move. read more

The best moving company in the area. Miro was polite and communicative about the process. The movers, Dante and Louis, we're wonderful as well. They were on time, detailed, gentle, and fast. As others have said, this is one of the best moving companies to work with. They are friendly, flexible and reasonably priced. I worked closely with Miro to organize the move and he was always responsive and helpful. John, Jarod and Dante handled the heavy lifting and were similarly helpful and responsive. Also extremely friendly. Of particular note is that HodgePodge is a one stop shop for moving, hauling and donating. You tell them what you want to save and get rid of, and like magic your treasures are moved and your detritus disappears. This is my second move with HodgePodge and I plan on using them again. You should too! read more

I have used various Junk removal services usually with surprise endings of fees that are well over what was originally estimated or guesstimated. HodgePodge not only offered me a fair flat rate based on estimate of items listed, but stuck to it and facilitated my removal within a day or so of my request. The crew was efficient, wore masks and gloves and shoe covers at my request, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using them for a second round. Miro the owner was in touch with me by phone personally to make sure the crew were on time and that all went ok. You cannot ask more than that with a moving service. Plus they offer full moves/removals/etc and the reason I also chose them was that they attempt to donate/recycle all items possible. read more

I used HodgePodge to move my mom's belongings from Joliet to Chicago. They were polite and courteous and made a second stop to pick up a sofa for her without any additional charge. Unlike the other companies, I spoke with they did not charge for the drive time to the first pickup which saved me over $100. They are very responsive and turned around a quote in less than an hour. The move was faster than they estimated and the service was superb! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mover. read more
