The VERY best movers you will ever get!! They went above and beyond our expectations ! Very hard workers, very friendly and the most friendliest group of guys you will ever meet. Very fast, moved us out of our house yesterday and immediately moved us into our new house an hour away and stayed until 1 am. I would consider them a part of my extended family. Love this whole family! Very trusting. You will never regret getting this fine outstanding family. A life saver thank you for taking great care with us!! read more

On time, polite, careful, respectful, efficient, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Probably one of the most frustrating experiences trying to give someone my business. Strung me along for 3 weeks waiting for a quote, set up an in home estimate and then acted like they hadn't offered. Had to constantly call and follow up, only to never receive a quote, and then was turned down for business. Stronger communication would have been appreciated and if that type of service is what's indicative of what the move would have been like, doesn't bode well. Giving this two stars because Fidel was a consummate professional and did his best to provide service where his brother could not. read more

Very reasonable price. 5 very nice young men showed up on time and worked quickly to get the job done. Finished about an hour early. They were very careful and very polite. Once everything was assembled and they were finished they asked if there was anything else we would like them to move while they were still there. 10/10. I highly recommend. read more

They were responsive, efficient and made my move from Chicago to CT seamless. The price was very fair and all of my items were transported and reassembled without incident. They were flexible with the drop off time and form of payment. Would recommend for any type of move!! read more

I've never had a good experience with a moving company, and at this point go in expecting to be overcharged and have X amount of my stuff damaged or destroyed. But Ramirez Movers came with loads of amazing reviews, and they did NOT disappoint. We did a walk-through inventory, the quote was incredibly reasonable, and they gave us loads of clear options. Day of move was exceptional: these guys work fast and hard, and their goal is to make sure the customer is happy -- breaking down and reconstructing furniture, laying carpets, placing every item exactly where you wish. At end of day, they walked me through every item on the bill, totally seamless and no surprises. I used them for a local move, but they also do long distance and even quick local pickup of marketplace items, and I'll definitely be making use of that. If you want an honest, trustworthy move, Ramirez Movers is the real deal. read more

These guys, Marcos' crew, were exceptional during our whole moving process. Mario and the boys helped my aged parents of (80 and 75) pack, disassemble, move, and reassemble and all of our furniture, clothes and boxes in a very efficient and timely manner. More importantly, they were very accommodating to all of my parents needs, and were willing to rearrange furniture locations without complaint. They were extremely careful, nothing was broken, and above all, were courteous and did the work with a smile. I would highly recommend these guys for all your moving needs. read more

My experience with this moving service was terrible from the get-go. They gave me an initial quote which ended up being half what they charged me. In the middle of moving I had to ask the guys to raise their level because I noticed they were taking too long to carry and load stuff, they were chatty and telling jokes. That's a nice attitude IF you're doing your due diligence with the job, but they weren't. This was a garden unit we moved out from and the distance to their truck wasn't bad. They took forever to carry and load, they overran the estimate on the first leg of the move - how can that even happen?? We moved to a 3rd floor which was the tough part, they did a better job there but the damage had been done in terms of time spent on the first part of our move. I honored the hours they spent on the move and paid double the estimate they gave me before the move BUT really I was expecting the owner to call me back and either give me a refund or some kind of credit for the huge miss in numbers, HUGE. To my dismay they weren't even willing to accept they did anything wrong, I explained to the detail what I had seen from their movers on the first part of the move, I even called them during the move to tell them what was happening, left a voicemail, they never picked up my calls during the move. The owner, Mr. Ramirez said, "we never give refunds to anyone because then we would have to do that for every customer complaining of running over estimates". Well, then don't give estimates! and you know what guys, there is always a first time for everything if you see that your movers spent double the time you initially estimated! Mr. Ramirez should've been embarrassed and apologetic about what happened with my move - he was none, it actually sounded like he thinks this is just something that can happen and it is out of his control. I guess so. After a couple months I also realized they broke a TV that they didn't pack correctly, I remember very well that they just wrapped it in moving blankets. The TV got pinned with something and the screen was messed up and broken when I turned it on for the first time after the move it had to be thrown away. This is what can happen to you if you hire Ramirez movers. But maybe you'll be lucky enough not to experience this, maybe you won't, it is up to you. I would stay away from this services if you have to budget your move and stay very close to your numbers AND if you like your things to arrive intact. Cheers. read more

I didn't end up using these movers but I have to give a huge thumbs up to Marccos for being willing to send a team to help me move last minute. I appreciate the willingness and follow through. I will send customers your way and if I ever move back to Chicago, I'll definitely patron this business. Thanks! read more

The best experience we've ever had with movers. Polite, punctual, careful and efficient. If you need a mover, use them.

I met Marcos at the bank where I work. He's always been friendly and professional and had previously dropped off a couple of business cards. After looking at the utter slew of movers out there online, I decided to go the route of my local small business and couldn't have been happier! I primarily dealt with Marcos and communication was via email, text, and phone. All inquiries were answered within a few hours to one business day. He was extremely accommodating and we negotiated a very fair price. I only needed a little manpower to move items into a storage container located onsite. Two movers arrived on time and, in my husband's words, "worked like animals!" They took great care with our belongings and were friendly and professional. The job took an extra hour and there was no issue staying to complete it. Not to mention, the final costs stayed true to the quote. They've been in business 14 years and their crew is bilingual. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend! read more

Fidel and his crew are amazing! I've used them multiple times when moving apartments after being recommended by a few people in Winnekta. Phenomenal people who handle furniture and personal belongings with care. Also, great prices. read more

I've used Ramirez Movers three times now. Every time they're prompt, efficient and handle my things with care. Fair prices for a job well done. Much thanks to Fidel and his team! read more

I felt the price was a bit steep but these young men were extremely efficient. They took great care in wrapping and moving my belongings. It was blazing hot the day we moved and it didn't slow them down. I would definitely recommend them for your move! read more

Used them a few months ago moving from Wicker Park to River North. Had a 3-4 guy crew and I really don't have any complaints. They were on time, fast, efficient and friendly. When they unloaded at my new place, they helped me organize things how I wanted them, knowing I was there alone and things were heavy. They forgot small sheets of glass and made the trip to come back a few days later and return them. Highly recommend! read more

Can't say enough great things about this company! We used them one year ago and plan to use them again in a couple weeks. Courteous, respectful, hard working, punctual, strong, the list goes on and on. When one of our walls was gouged during the move, the men bought the necessary equipment and patched up the holes and repainted. Their pricing is extremely reasonable that it's easier to swallow than using an expensive, well-known company. Use Ramirez!! read more

They scratched my floor and wouldn't admit it! They owner practically called me a liar and told me to contact my insurance company! Awful experience! read more

They were quick and professional. Only downside was they were an hour early. Move involved taking some furniture and leaving others. They did it perfectly. They also took in stride the need to use (and wait for) a manually operated freight elevator. They seem to be easier to communicate with by text than by phone call, which is a plus for busy introverts. read more

Marcos, the owner, and I had a disagreement regarding the cleaning service that Ramirez Movers hired for me on the DAY OF MY MOVE. The cleaners came in on my move day and I was told by Ramierz Movers they were efficient and professional and would be there for a couple of hours (I was paying hourly). The cleaners were there for 3 1/2 hours and not close to being done and one of them was talking on the phone and cleaning. I talked to Marcos, he got very upset, the end result being I paid the cleaners and they left. Marcos was soon to arrive when I noticed the cleaners broke a window. I called Marcos to let him know, he was very upset and CANCELLED MY MOVE THAT WAS TO HAPPEN IN TWO HOURS!!!!! I gave them a star because they paid for the window. read more

Great service. The movers were fast, courteous, and careful. Also the cost was reasonable and fair. Be sure to hire them for your next move.

I have used this company for the last 3 moves and I wouldn't go with anyone else! The guys are super courteous and efficient! The trick with the box, straps and wheels is always amazing. read more

Ramirez movers helped me with my move today and it went fantastically! The guys are super friendly and courteous, and they were very efficient - I was shocked at how quickly the move went. They knew exactly where to go, they had their own supplies, and the whole crew seemed very experienced. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

Great movers. Very affordable compared with other services in town. Hard working and punctual. Will use them again.

The three young men they sent were friendly, professional, experienced and fast. Highly recommend. read more

Ramirez Movers - Movers Near Me

Ramirez moved us back in July and I meant to write a review back then. Going through some paperwork I found our receipt and remember the great experience we had with them and that it would be disrespectful not to give then a good review. They moved us from Chicago to Iowa. We selected them out of four movers that I got estimates from because they were highly professional, polite, and gave us a very fair estimate along with a good strategy for moving my family of 6 knowing it would be a two day job. Those two days it was hot, there were lots of stairs involved and even a piano. I never once heard a complaint. The whole team work hard, was polite, and efficient. I was amazed that almost everything got here in tact. An item or two substaibed a little damage due to travel, and they alerted me to it. This was my sixth move in Chicago all the other moves were within miles of each other and had suffered more damage than the move 3 hours away. If I ever had to move back to Chicago, out of the six movers I have used, they would definitely be my choice. read more

They are positively the best, with the most affordable option in the area. Our move wasn't easy, from Evanston to Northern Wisconsin, where the home is on a hill. I was able to leave before they finished and they sent photos of their progress. I cannot recommend highly enough! Not only did they move our furniture, they removed old furniture from our other home, making the transition even easier. The final price was exactly as quoted. They are pros! read more

Ramirez Movers did a great job on our long distance move from Chicago to Michigan! From our first contact to get an estimate, they were responsive, professional and easy to work with. The team they sent for the move itself did a great job. They were very careful with all of our pieces and exceedingly helpful with some special items. Both the loading up and unloading process was quick and seamless: I was kept informed on their arrival time and always knew what to expect. Couldn't ask for a better moving experience. I highly recommend them! read more

Wow- great experience! I needed a few large pieces of furniture bought at an estate sale moved on short notice. Richard and Jose showed up on time, dismantled a 12' long chest and a couple of other pieces and moved them for me. They were efficient, professional and friendly. Would definitely hire again. Thanks! read more

We have moved five times in the past 8 years including two cross country moves, two local moves, and this one from WI to IL. We used one of those discount moving companies for our first long distance move. We will never do that again. The price kept changing. As soon as they had our credit card number, they all became unreachable. Most of our boxes came damaged (some with footprints from where they kicked and broke our boxes). The second cross country move was with a full-service company who packed us up themselves and did all of the work. It was great, but expensive. We hired Ramirez movers for a move from WI to IL. These guys are even better than the full service company we hired. They were efficient, professional, and friendly. They covered all of our furniture with blankets and moved it carefully. With over 10,000 pounds of items (based on a prior move weight), the only damage was a small chip to the paint of our crib. I think that's pretty amazing given the quantity of items moved! Fidel gave us a quote over text message after we provided him with an itemized inventory list. The quote was between $500-$2000 LESS than the other companies we contacted, and it was only about $500 more than we priced it out had we done it all ourselves with a UHaul. He actually kept to that price! There were no hidden fees! Toward the end of the day (I think the move took longer than he was expecting), a few extra guys showed up to help out, and he didn't expect any additional money even though three extra guys worked for about 1-2 hours. Naturally, we tipped them too, but they deserved it! These guys are the best movers we have ever worked with, and we are customers for life. We would give them 6 stars if we could. Thank you! read more

By far one of the most reliable and trustworthy vendors I have experienced in Chicago. Marco and his team were fantastic and helped me move some very heavy furniture. I am giving this rating not only because the team did what they said, but also the fee was reasonable and they went above and beyond to provide high quality client service. Another key attribute for those of you looking to hire a movers is that often times things change and you need your vendor to adapt slightly to accommodate unforeseen situations. Marco and his team excelled in that capacity. They were not rigid at all and remained extremely patient and flexible. Their primary concern was helping me and doing whatever it took to do the job right. I highly recommend them! read more

I've used Ramirez Movers twice now and both times have been fantastic experiences. Their crews work very fast. They really hustle from start to stop! They're very polite and well-mannered. Our first experience with Ramirez movers was so good we hired them again two weeks later. Both of the moves went smoothly. The guys showed up on time, were friendly and professional. I had spoken to over 7 companies before picking Ramirez. They answered all of my questions, returned my phone calls and came in with the best price. The company is owned and operated by brothers Fidel (773) 939-4326 and Maros (773) 610-4770. They are a 5 star operation. Happy Moving!! read more

I echo the sentiments of the other reviewers. Due to an excellent experience with Ramirez Movers, I have used them for subsequent moves. My first move with them was on the coldest day in February about 5 years ago from a 2nd floor walk up to a 3rd floor walk up. Fidel and Marcos personally did the work and were efficient, careful, polite, and helpful. They were moving A LOT of furniture and boxes in sub-zero weather into a building where the landlord required furniture to be moved in up the exterior back stairs. Not one thing was broken, nor was their any damage to either building. Fidel had provided a quote and stuck to that quote. There were no hidden fees or any other unexpected issues. Fidel and Marcos were on time the day of the move too. They are an honest, family owned and operated business I'm happy to recommend to friends and family. If I ever move again (they also moved me when I purchased my home), even if it is out of state or downstate, I'll happily hire them again. read more
