Over the years, I've discovered the hardest part of cleaning out an apartment is dealing with bigger pieces of furniture. I had a few items that were in bad shape and had those taken away by another service, but struggled what to do with pieces that still had life in them as I was faced with a rather quick timeframe. I reached out to Adrian and told him what I needed taken away. What appealed to me most about ReBound is that the items weren't necessarily going straight to the dump. I didn't have time nor want to deal with determining which pieces charities were accepting, which ones they weren't and hoping all of my items were up to snuff. Adrian was flexible, I gave him the list of items and he gave me a price. I told him that I had a few pieces listed on Freecycle and we agreed, if I found new homes before our appointment, he'd adjust the pickup price. Pickup was super easy. I recently donated some furniture, but there were a couple of pieces that the charity wouldn't accept due to too much wear and tear. I left a couch and recliner next to my building's dumpsters thinking recyclers would pick them up. But after a few weeks, they continued to sit. I worried about neighbors complaining, possibly getting fined, or rats nesting, so I called three removal services in the area for help. ReBound came in $30 less than the other two AND was able to come out the very next morning. Adrian answered the phone quickly and was very friendly about giving a quote. He said to text him if I chose his services. About 30 minutes later I did, reiterating the terms he stated earlier with my address. He replied shortly after to confirm the details and then called me for my card information. Before he hung up, he also thanked me for my business which I thought was a nice touch. The next morning at work I received a confirmation text that the job was done including a before and after picture as verification. Only then did he run my card info, which he explained he would destroy immediately after. I got one last text of a link to my receipt and a final thanks. I had a storage unit for 20 yrs. in which I had already taken out what I wanted to keep and needed the rest hauled away. I had a bad experience the month before with a different company who only took part of the unit out. They took mostly VHS tapes in boxes which instead of stacking nicely for more room they just threw them in the truck in which of course they spilled all over the place. I could only afford to pay for half a truck so all the rest of my stuff couldn't be taken. So I ended up having to pay for another month of storage. This time I shopped around and found Adrian thru Yelp. I contacted him on a Sunday when he isn't even open and he contacted me right away. We made arrangements for the next day. His quote was half of what I paid the other guys. He and his helper cleaned out the rest of the unit in under an hour. The unit was in the basement and he asked me for the door code so I wouldn't have to up and down with them ( I have bad knees). I had to go up and down with the other guys. I told him about them and what they charged me and he said he would have cleaned out the whole unit for that amount. You live and learn I guess. Afterwards he swept out the unit for me and even took my bag of garbage that I had from when I took my things out to keep. I HIGHLY recommend Adrian to anyone who needs this kind of job done.
