I am writing this after using Top Cat Hauling and Junk Removal for the second time in preparation…read moreof putting my house up or sale. Having lived in the house for a long time, I needed two visits to clear out several large items, including heavy furniture, an old refrigerator, and a window air conditioner unit as well as other items stored in the garage, attic and basement. Danny and his team handled everything perfectly. The team was professional, efficient and very careful not to damage the house while moving the bulky items out. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price, especially considering the extra labor required for the large items, like the refrigerator. The service was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for a reliable, honest hauling service in the area, I highly recommend Danny and his crew. As I said, I used them once and called them again.

Booking: I didn't…read morestart searching for movers until a week prior to my moving date (yes, I'm a natural-born procrastinator). I had a few quotes from several companies and ACM Movers gave me the best deal so I decided to book with them. They give you a window of time in which your movers will arrive. Mine was between 2-3 PM. They take a $50 deposit at time of booking (you pay the rest after the move is finished). They took my card over the phone for the deposit. Moving Day: On the day of my move, I received a call from them around 12:50 PM explaining their movers will be arriving late between 4-4:30 PM because of some issues with their moving truck. My window of arrival was between 2-3 PM, so although I was a bit disappointed since it was not a short delay, I do understand that sometimes things happen out of our own control. I am not an unreasonable person. I do appreciate that they let me know ahead of time instead of during my window of arrival. Communication is key for all relations and businesses. Arrival: They arrived at 4:15 PM. They wasted absolutely no time when they arrived. I was asked what they should and shouldn't be moving. While Daniil went over my moving information/details and pricing for me to sign, Vlad was already loading up my things to the truck. By the time I finished with the documents, half my things were already loaded. Daniil quickly joined Vlad thereafter. The Move: The move was swift and rapid, but with care. They finished loading up my things within half an hour of arriving. I was impressed! It has got to be the fastest move I've ever experienced and I've moved quite a bit in my lifetime. I am literally a nomad. When we got to my destination, it took them roughly 40 minutes to complete the move. I had a small storage space and I honestly didn't think all my belongings could fit but they magically made it happen and I was very happy because I really did not want to rent another space or go through the hassle of changing my storage unit. From time of arrival to time finished, it took them about 2 hours with some minutes to spare. My quote was for 2 hours and it was spot on with the information I had given them. Payment/Quote/Completion: $129/hour x 2 hours $129 for distance/mileage Total $387 If you go over your time slot then an increase in price will obviously take place. But, with how fast these guys work I don't think you'll see any surprise additional costs, so just make sure everything is in order on your end with scheduling elevator reservation at your designated properties to avoid any unforeseen circumstances. This is just Moving 101. You can pay with cash, Zelle, or Venmo. I'm not sure if they take cards, but I paid through Venmo with my remaining balance. I would inquire about acceptable payments if you don't have any of the options mentioned above. Overall Experience: Although there were some mishaps with the arrival time, these guys were diligent and professional with their work and made up for it with their brisk and smooth move. My things are still intact and not damaged, which is most important to me. All other miscellaneous issues I can overlook. But, that's just me. These guys take their work seriously and you can just tell. I am planning to use them again for my next move and hopefully I can request for the same guys (Vlad and Daniil), but I'm sure everyone in their company is just as good. Thanks again, ACM Movers, for the sophisticated move!

I trusted ACM with nearly everything I owned during a major life transition…read more What I experienced included: * Three missed estimator appointments * An estimate that increased by thousands of dollars * A final bill exceeding $9,000 * Multiple surprise charges * Delivery issues and attempted additional fees * A television and furniture arriving covered in olive oil * A television damaged during delivery in front of witnesses * Pressure to sign paperwork before documenting damages * A claims process that resulted in a $150 offer Everyone's experience may be different, but mine was frustrating from start to finish. If you're shopping for movers, learn from my experience. Get everything in writing, ask detailed questions about insurance and liability coverage, and carefully compare multiple companies before signing a contract. I genuinely feel taken advantage of by this company and cannot recommend ACM based on my experience.

Really appreciate how easy he made the whole process--definitely recommend!

It was at least 20 bags sitting where my garage was. I paid him in full because he did majority of the work. But then he stop returning my phone calls and he never called back. Harold returned and put the bags in the alley and then did a little more cleaning. Danny or Dan never called me again even after I called and texted him a few more times.
