They were beyond rude. Then they cancelled sixty minutes before the appointment. On a Monday, I called and set appointment for 9 am Tuesday. Walked thru instructions on how to get to loading dock of highrise and check in. Guy says great, you are set. All good so far. Early morning Tuesday they call when I'm in shower and leave message saying will be there in 90 minutes (which would be 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time). Also said unless I call back, they aren't coming at all. So I call back. Guy starts off by yelling. Says he called me but I didn't answer. I remind him appt was already set and confirmed. Then he goes off and says how does he know if I'll really be there and that now he will start sending guys to come in about 90 minutes. I say I'd like you to please honor the appointment time. He says ok will send guys. He then says will call me from outside. I remind him we had already walked through need to check in at dock. He then blows up more and says I don't need this, go hire someone else and hangs up. Wow, what great service. Red's team performs like a fine-tuned machine; one person "triages", separating the wheat from the chaff. Another two are mostly the muscle, breaking things down and hauling things out. There's also a muscular guy with the tools to take down shelves, and manage the scrap metal. They all know what their tasks are, and there's no standing around with eyes glazed over. Having just finished a major spring cleaning weekend with an "urge to purge", which included the shed, the garage and any and all areas of our backyard, I had created quite the pile in my backyard. After googling around, and reading reviews, I came across Red's and gave them a call. He asked when I needed their services, and when I said the same day, he gave me a three hour window for that afternoon and said they would call when they were a half hour away - which is exactly what they did. I had a fantastic experience with Red and his team. I called him at 8:21 am, and described what I needed. I then texted him photos of the items I needed hauled. He called me back within a few minutes and gave me a quote, telling me that his crew was on a job nearby and would be over when that job was done. I called A-Red's first thing in the morning, and they were at my house within 20 minutes to look at what we needed to get rid of, and had a team hauling it out of the house 10 minutes later! Beyond the massive pile of stuff in the photos, we also had two old refrigerators that were ICED OVER inside, and they worked and worked to get the ice out and get them out. And they got a large couch from upstairs that we weren't certain ANYONE could get out the door. They are AMAZING! And once they had taken everything away, the cleaned up where everything had been. We had a very last minute furniture removal job and found Red's Hauling services. They were very accommodating with our schedule, considering they were operating outside of their normal hours on Saturday night! We had one twin mattress, two bed frames, and three dressers moved within a manner of 15 minutes (we live on the first floor). The two man crew were very kind and respectful- I opened the door for them and one of them shook my hand to introduce himself. I've worked with a number of moving companies and not one of them have ever offered to shake my hand and say hello, ask how my day was. Red (owner) was also on site as well. He was very easy to talk to and time passed by so quickly. Also, he made sure to tell the crew to take it easy and make sure they were safe in carrying/lifting items. Wow! Truly impressed with these guys. Used them once a few years ago at my business, and today I had them do a haul and clean out of my garage. We had a flood in our basement and had a ton of stuff that was lost and damaged in the flood.
