Hired to remove a 2 piece sectional sofa. Great communication. They texted when on way, came during the scheduled range, and were out in 10min. I have had bad luck with services not showing up, and leaving me sitting there waiting, so the professionalism was much appreciated. Price was what I was quoted, and was the same as other quotes I got. Would definitely hire again if needed. read more

After a horrible experience trying to get 1-800-GOT-JUNK to come out and haul away a baby grand piano from a 3rd floor walk-up (long story... see my other review), I finally found Junk Relief. They were polite, gave me a true & accurate quote over the phone after I sent them a photo. They showed up when they said they would, sent four guys to take it apart and down the stairway. They were polite, professional and reasonably priced. What more could you ask? I'll use them again. read more

We hired Junk Relief to haul away a large, heavy, wood desk and some other stuff. The crew communicated their ETA so we knew when to expect them. Romario and his partner were friendly, efficient and respectful of our property. The price was fair, and we will definitely consider Junk Relief for our next haul away job. read more

I had a small haulaway of large furniture items: they were very clear in their estimate (was a bit less on the day of because I ended up not needing them to take three pieces) and they scheduled easily, communicated clearly, arrived exactly on time, were very friendly and professional, and were in and out in a super efficient way! My thanks to Jose and the team! Considering the estimate I bet they'd be even more cost-effective for a big junk removal rather than a small one, and I'll keep them in mind for the future for sure! read more

I needed a couch removed because I'm moving and don't want to take it with. I contacted several junk removal companies and highest quote was $175 and the most affordable was Junk Relief at $95!!! The time slot was 11 to 1 and they arrived about 11:15. They were both very neat, pleasant and knowledgeable in moving couch out the door. I will use them again and will post on my facebook. read more

Easy to book, fast and efficient service, and a great price. I had requested junk pickup/disposal for an old couch (that was a bit busted) and a decade old mattress that was not going to my new apartment. The email responses were nearly instantaneous. We might as well have been on the phone because their responses were that fast. I had gone with them because the reviews about speed, price, and friendliness. The reviews were right. Day of: they were great. I added two items to the haul. They didn't flinch. They were friendly, efficient, and the price was right. I wouldn't hesitate to call them in the future for items that I can't sell or recycle. read more

Incredibly fast response and service time. Efficient and worth the cost. We recently moved and had to order a bunch of new things. As a result we ended up with a room FULL of boxes and packing materials. JUNK Relief was able to come out the day after I messaged them on Yelp and cleared out the junk room in about 10 minutes total. Very happy with the service, will be using them again in the future! read more

Junk Relief - One corner of a room full of moving junk that JUNK Relief hauled away in less than 10 minutes. - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I was getting some work done in my basement and needed a couch to be removed. I called Junk Relief on a Sat morning and they were available to come the same day just a few hours later. The representative on the phone was very friendly and professional. The guys that showed up to remove the couch did a great job! They had to dismantle the couch as it was too big to come through the staircase. It took them about 45 min from start to finish and they were on their way. Their prices are very reasonable as compared to others. If you're in need of such services, don't bother looking elsewhere and give Junk Relief a call! I would highly recommend them! read more

Junk Relief - The empty space where my old big a$$ 2 piece sectional filled ;-) (wall to wall) - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

They did such an amazing job. We had some odds n' ends left over after we moved, and in my garage there were plenty of huge but empty boxes and a few furniture items that were worse for the wear. It was easy to get a quote from them, schedule a pickup time, and everything else. They arrived 15 minutes into the 3 hour window after notifying me about a half an hour in advance, as they said they would. Once they got here, they were professional and insanely efficient! In under 15 minutes, they cleared away many heavy items. In all, I paid under $200, which is the lowest figure I found. Check them out! They deserve your business. EDIT: Forgot to add...they swept up any dust or debris afterward, and it showed me that they take care of every detail. So nice to see for a neat freak like myself. read more

My tenant died and was a hoarder. You could not walk in. I was stunned and did not know what to do. Of course I called 1 800 Got Junk and their quote scared me. I saw Junk Relief on Yelp. Good experience. They were on time, thorough, and worked hard to get my from my basement and up some difficult stairs. Since COVID-19 introduced itself to part of our lives, I have been paying more attention on cleanliness and "cluster-ness" of my my own home. There were items that took up too much space and just didn't need to be here anymore. When I was doing budget-planning, I was curious to see how much a junk removal service would charge for removing a 3-piece sectional faux leather sofa that was shedding uncontrollably and a long white metal rail that fell off the wall years ago. I sent a Yelp message with written descriptions and pictures to a different junk removal company initially. However, the message was also forwarded to four (4) other companies with good rating. "Junk Relief" was the first company to get back to me with a quote and work detail. I thought the quote was reasonable and asked more questions in regard of this project. Although other companies eventually got back to me by the end of business day, I praised for prompt responses from "Junk Removal" and proceeded with the scheduling. Scheduling was quite easy. It was done through Yelp messaging and no phone calls required! On the day of removal, two (2) young men showed up during the time interval we agreed on, with masks on, and were ready to go. I missed their calls a couple of times because I was napping, but that was my fault (oops)! I showed them where the items were and they got to work right away. The process took about twenty (20) minutes. They guys didn't leave any mess. When it came to paying for the service, there was no bad surprise: the price they quoted was the price I paid for. I also received an invoice in the e-mail in a pdf file after the credit card was charged. I would say everything appeared to be legit. I definitely recommend "Junk Relief" to give yourself some relief on having one less unnecessary item in your crib! Communication was fast and clear. It was way simple than I imagined to be. I will be going through my storage room and call "Junk Relief" again for future projects. read more

Wow, what a great find! My basement and garage were a mess with old furniture, metal, boards, and more. I reached out to Junk Relief the evening before. I will definitely use Junk Relief again when it's time! read more

Could not be more pleased! Received immediate response from Sara via the messaging tool. Scheduling was super efficient and I had no question as too what I would have to pay for the service. Junk Relief - JUNK - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

After moving into our new house, we finally upgraded to a new couch but we stupidly didn't have a plan for what to do with the old couch! My husband wanted to donate it but we had a housewarming party planned and I didn't have time to wait for someone to pick it up. I contacted Junk Relief via text and they quickly responded with a quote and a time--next day! I received a text when they were 30 minutes away and then a call when they were in the driveway. The team was fast and friendly and best of all--no more couch! If we ever have a need to haul away more stuff, I will definitely use Junk Relief again. read more

I fell into a nasty 'stay at home' rut during lockdown and decided to do some major downsizing. It felt like a super daunting amount of stuff so I decided to hire professionals to help me out. There are a number of junk removal services in Chicago but Joe at Junk Relief got back to me almost immediately (literally within about 2 minutes) and gave me a super reasonable quote (This type of job is priced by the amount of space it takes up in a truck). The next day, they texted me about 15 minutes into the time window Joe and I had discussed, letting me know they were on their way. The whole job took no more than 20 minutes, and that's with my super slow elevator. I was so impressed by their quick work and felt totally in control of my apartment again. Almost forgot-- they wore masks the whole time! Very important to give a shoutout to all the places still taking COVID-19 seriously! I'll be shocked if I spend my money on something better in 2021. Truly! Hire these guys if you need anything removed from your living space! read more

I had Junk Relief come out to do about 700 sq ft of carpet removal today and they did an incredible job! The carpet removal itself was very quick, and then the three of us tag teamed to remove the tack strips and staples. The whole job was finished in just over an hour, with cleaning and vacuuming as well. I'm very happy with the work these guys did and how efficient we were able to get everything out to the truck. They charge very little for labor which was a nice plus, since I was planning to do all the carpet cutting and removal myself. Several other companies quoted me over $100 more just to do the haul away and no labor. This is the only company I'll continue to work with as I renovate my home. Thanks again for your help today! Best, Charlie read more

Received a text that they had arrived at my address at 11:45 (I was told via phone and text that I would receive a 30 minute reminder when they were on their way / what their ETA was as their time frame was a total of 4 hours of when they would possibly be coming -- this takes a huge chunk out of my day as it is). As I did not receive the reminder I was not home, so I rush home and call their number to speak with someone who went by a fake name and claimed that they would wait the 13 minutes it took me to get to my home. When I got home, their truck was not there to do the service. This individual over the phone assured me that the truck was there and I assured him that I was not blind and I would know if their giant box truck was here and was quite frustrated that I dropped everything and rushed home because I received a text with no warning that they were at my residence, as I had made them aware that I would need an hour reminder prior to their ETA if possible to prepare for their arrival given the four hour time span they provided (no specific appointment time). When they arrived, they had no manners nor regards for my residence nor things, even though I was having them come for "junk relief" as they literally threw my quite large couch off the railing of my second story apartment into the yard. They did say that they would be disassembling things free of charge however they did not do any of this, they simply took things assembled in order to move things along (for their schedule) as I had received a voicemail while I was on the phone with said person who claimed to be a manager (was not) who stated they were stuck at another job and would not be arriving until two hours after I received the text that they had "arrived" & was insisted they were there when A) this was not a manager but an employee that came into my residence and also took my Apple Watch in which I had to retrieve back on my own after he texted my number and B) was overall lied to and could not recommend this place any less. I can throw my own couch off a railing if I want to, there is no value in dealing with this awful hassle. The locations listed on their website are not accurate either. Go with literally anyone else! read more

We needed someone to haul an old sofa away, and the choices on Yelp seemed overwhelming. I texted Junk Relief early in the evening on a Sunday for a quote expecting to hear back from them sometime Monday. I was stunned when Alex responded with a quote less than an hour later. I was able to book an appointment with just a few back-and-forth text messages and received an email confirming the appointment. The team texted 30 minutes beforehand and arrived at my place at the beginning of the 3-hour window. They were quick and efficient, and the final cost was less than the original quote. I highly recommend Junk Relief and will def use them again when I need large items hauled away. read more
